A Day To Remember bring out the heavy vibes on their best album, ‘Bad Vibrations’ (review)

In between releasing Common Courtesy and Bad Vibrations, A Day To Remember’s Jeremy McKinnon was better known as the producer for possibly the best pop-punk album of 2015, Neck Deep’s Life’s Not Out To Get You. Now we have Bad Vibration, a perfect collective mix of post-hardcore and pop-punk. Every song on this album is a banger, which is a huge takeaway from the band’s previous two records. Whether it’s the pop-punk banger “Naivety,” the strong yet heavy “Bullfight,” or even the metalcore-ish track “Exposed,” this album has something for everyone.

In a sense, Bad Vibrations sounds a lot like Beartooth’s first two albums - high in aggression. That’s what this album is: aggressive. A lot of this record is in-your-face hardcore and it’s a really interesting take on the band. This is almost as if we are rewinding to 2007.

“We Got This” slows down the record quite a bit and gets pretty sentimental. Despite this, it’s probably my favorite track from the record. This album has something for everyone and it’s pretty much the best album I’ve heard this year.

Green Day Will Perform at World Cup Hockey Fan Village ; Fall Tour Rumors Speculate

The NHL announced Green Day will perform at the World Cup Hockey Fan Village event in Toronto, Canada, on September 23. This show will be Green Day’s first live event promoting upcoming album Revolution Radio, which drops October 7. Is a fall tour announcement on the horizon? The NHL claims Green Day’s Fan Village performance will kick off a worldwide venture. For now, optimistic fans continue investigating and speculating.

Michigander reminisces on better days in “Mexico” (review)

Michigan indie act Michigander has a new single out, the follow-up to his debut single “Nineties,” and by golly is this one good. Michigander brings an alternative/indie vibe to his music and the mellow feel hits hard. In “Mexico,” frontman Jason Singer focuses more on his guitar and raw emotion rather than an orchestra full of instruments, such as the trumpet.

I say this every time, but the biggest aspect to Michigander’s music is the lyrics. In “Mexico,” there is a lot of reassurance (”I know that you’ll be okay”). The song itself is melodramatic, but the way Singer portrays himself is spot-on and I am 100% excited for a new album.

British pop-punks Boston Manor have a new song and it’s pure gold. The song is called “Lead Feet” and focuses as the lead single for the band’s debut full-length album, Be Nothing, which is out September 30 via Pure Noise Records.

Jimmy Eat World share “Sure and Certain,” announce album
