Dream world arc: I can't lose her

The brothers started to stand up and walk towards the door,hoping to distract themselves from what was happening with focusing on classes.

Mammon didn't focus, he never focused in class, but this time, he had a real reason to not mind at all the class: his human wasn't at his side. She always sited near him in almost  all the classes they took together. They would laugh, talk about things but still focus on class. He missed her. Even though he thought he would never miss a pathetic human. He was. He missed everything of her .

Her voice. He loved hearing her singing or even just talking. Her voice brings him happiness, to the point that they sometimes sang together .

Her baking. She loved pancakes like nothing else in the whole world. He remembered the many times they baked pancakes together.

Her kind and patient heart. He always compared her to an angel do to that. She was so kind with him, even if the others saw just a scumbag good at nothing in him, she saw someone who just needed to be more trusted and less shamed because she saw the good in him. Were others found trash, she found a diamond in him.

Memories were keeping coming back:

When at the ball she said:

《I don't need other pacts when I have the Great Mammon on my side! 》

The confidence in her voice made him go insane and have an ego boost.

He wanted to dance with her to the ball so hard, but his brothers kept getting in the way. He remembered how she and Solomon danced together to  create a star shower,to get a better atmosphere to the ball. It was magnificent and wonderful. She looked so beautiful in that dress in his eyes.

Another good memory was when they were trapped in a game and his brothers kept insulting him. She stood up for him, telling them to stop and defending him from whatever they said. She hugged him, whipped his tears away and told him that he was amazing and great. The others didn't understand but it was their problem.

He missed all those moments with her. But why? It was the feeling she made him feel. She made him feel something that only money could make him feel..happiness. Their moments together,even if they were minimal were important to him. Their shenanigans together were important and good memories.

His heart started to beat even faster when he realized that what he was feeling wasn't only friendship. He wanted her all for himself, he wanted to hug her, have her near to laugh, cry, dance, sing, watching movies together. He ... he loved her. Not like friendship, but real and  pure love.

He didn't want to admit to himself that the human was actually important to him, that he was in love with her. How the great Mammon could accept that? Well, he was accepting it.

《I'm really an idiot. I should have told her sooner but I just kept that stupid act on. I should tell her as soon as she comes  back 》 he thought.

The class was over, and it was time to head to the other. While walking around the corridors of school, he found his brothers. They weren't in the best mood ever, but they would still fake it in front of others. They all stopped together a minute to just relax and let the bad feeling pass.  But then, a crying sound from the other side of the corridor started to be heareable. Why was that person crying? Why do that voice sounded so familiar to them. Mammon decided to check who was crying: it was Luke.

Luke was crying like a baby. Simeon was trying to comfort him but he himself couldn't contain the tears. What triggered in Mammon a reaction was who was with them: Solomon.

Wasn't him with Hafeya in the human world? Wasn't him supposed to be healing her?

Then, a scary thought made his way into Mammons mind:

Hafeya died

He didn't want to believe that . He didn't want to believe the thought that Hafeya, her human, the girl he wanted closure with, the girl he just accept to be' in love with, died.

Asmodeus reaction was the same: destroyed, about to hurt his throat from screaming. His perfect doll face was breaking, his tears started to make his perfect boy act to a completely clown act. He runned towards Solomon, the other brothers noticed what was happening only after seeing Asmo running in the corridor. Solomon was trying to hold back the tears after seeing Asmo,but Asmo  wasn't :

《PLEASE, TELL ME YOU ARE JUST HERE FOR A SPELL OR POTION. DON'T YOU DARE TELL ME YOU GAVE UP AND SHE'S GONE. DON'T YOU DARE SOLOMON I 》

Asmo broke down, the only thing he could do was holding into Solomons chest,while crying like he didn't  from every long time. Solomon was trying his best to be strong in that situation. They were having a misunderstanding here, he needed to explain properly what happened.

The other brothers started to make a circle of sort around them, pale faces and wildly open eyes.

《Let me explain. Trust me she's okay.》

-The sorcer exclaimed-

《Her conditions already improved since yesterday. She's  gonna be okay,Asmo. I'm here to inform Lord Diavolo about  her progress and attend to classes 》

《She is?...I'm so relieved she's okay. All thanks to you Solomon! Let me hug you!》

《Hey! .... 》

Solomon after some seconds wrapped his arms around Asmo. He needed an hug. Really bad. After all that happened, he could just hold tightly to Asmo,trying to not cry or show weakness.

Asmo hold him tightly back,without wanting to let go. After what it seemed to be eternity, but it was just a minute, they separated.

Luke gived a very bad look at the brothers, something that Mammon noticed and commented on:

《Oi,Fido, have you heard Solomon. She's gonna be fine.》

Luke started cry even more, walking to the other side without looking back. Simeon apologised for him and went right after him.

Dream world arc: Prologue

The brothers were around the table; it was time for breakfast. But, that morning in particular, wasn't the chaotic and funny breakfast they always had: everyone around the table, talking about whatever, spending time together and laughing. It wasn't a breakfast that they could call breakfast, and the appetite wasn't present either. The memories of the day before were vivid and real. The thing they called an "accident" was the only thing in their mind. That wasn't an accident, there was a perpetrator and a victim, both of them were someone they loved and care about. Everything happened so fast,many discoveries made too fast:

Belphegor wasn't in the human world as an exchange student, he was in the attic all along. He wanted to destroy the human world. He manipulated Hafeya to free him.

Hafeya didn't want to use pacts to free him, so she wanted to tried with many potions and spells at once.

A strange entity freed Belphegor, he thought it was Hafeya to free him, and to thank her...he chocked her to death, then throw her dying body from the second floor of the house to the entrance, slamming her against the wall in the process.

Hafeya was still alive miraculously. Lord Diavolo saw what was happening and took both Hafeya and Belphegor with him:

Belphegor was arrested for treason and attempted murder

Hafeya was took to be healed.

In the night, they discovered that Hafeya was brought to the human world to be healed, her conditions were horrible. Solomon was sent with her to help her recover.

Everything happened so fast that the process of understanding everything was still in progress. The brothers were sent to their room by  Lucifer, they weren't allowed to speak about this.

Back to the present, the brothers were looking at their plates and around them, trying to avoid eye contact between them. But they couldn't lie to themselves: they were severely affected by this. Asmo had eye bags from crying all night, Levi didn't touch a single game or manga of his, Satan didn't read or watched any of his series, Beel couldn't eat : the thought of they  enjoying something while Hafeya and Belphegor were suffering didn't leave their head.

None of them were ready to speak about it. None of them were ready to face the reality:

Their brother was a murderer.

The victim was the poor human that did her best to make them happy. She did it to make Diavolo happy of how the exchange program worked so well, when she was the one that brought everyone in good terms.

She wasn't perfect and had a lot of childish moments here and there. But she still tried, sadly a good faith wasn't waiting her.

Lucifer saw the condition of his brothers and decided to speak up:

《If all of you don't wanna eat, then let's start heading to school.》

Beel looked at him with a very mad face. The reason why Hafeya runned in the attic was that Lucifer was attacking and threatening her. The attic wasn't accessible to demons, making it safe for calling help there. Or at least that was what Beel thought Hafeya did in that moment.

Beel never felt so disappointed on Lucifer. He kept Belphegor locked for months,threatened Hafeya to kill her,almost killing her once. But at the same time he wasn't proud of or defending Belphegor. Beel was confused,angry, disappointed, disbelieved and untrasting of both at this point. But at the same time he understood why Lucifer did that.

Belphegor wanted to destroy the human world.

Diavolo was all capable and willing to excute him if Belphegor rebelled too much.

Lucifer wanted to protect him.

Hafeya had disobeyed Lucifer, but she clearly didn't knew the full story and decided to help Belphegor because she thought it was a good thing to do.

All of this was so complicated. Beel didn't ever wanted all of this to happen. The situation was overwhelming for him. He didn't want to think about it but it was impossible. He felt guilty. He wanted to eat, but only looking at food  reminded him that Hafeya could barely breath and couldn't eat at all. He tried to resist from breaking down but he just couldn't. He started to cry. A river of tears was making his way throught Beel's cheeks.

The brothers looked at him with a sad, but also, compassionated face. They understood why he was feeling this way. He and Hafeya were pretty close so they understood why he was like this. The 2 that were trying the hardest to not break down with him were Asmo and Mammon. Those 3 loved her to death. One more then the other. Her presence was surely missed.

Lucifer could just look at what was happening. He felt his heart in his throat, a sense of guilt that wasn't comparable to anything he ever experienced, but it was similar to how he felt about ....Lilith's faith. He hoped for Hafeya to come back as soon as possible for ... apologise to her.

Yes, apologise to her. The avatar of pride, apologising to a human. But he felt like he really needed to give a honest and sincere apology to that poor girl. She went throughout too much for just a half year in the devilmon, she deserved an apology.

《It's time to go. It's way too late for breakfast now. Let's go.》

Lucifer affirmed with a calm and cold tone, keeping everything inside .
