the idea of post-canon lady nagant needing glasses is so... augh. i want to say that she'd be normal about it because maybe she's more self-aware about how she's not a weapon, her self-worth isn't defined by how useful she can be, etc. but let's be real horikoshi never gave this woman therapy. she wasn't normal about it she one hundred percent crashed out.

because her value as a person (how others view her and how she was led to view herself) has always always been defined by her quirk and her abilities. she's a weapon before she's a human, and it's very hard to break out of that mindset. and like. lady nagant doesn't get an accuracy buff from her quirk, it just gives her a gun. her eyesight deteriorating would be a massive blow to her abilities.

she'd try to act like it's not a big deal but it is. to her. even though she's retired even though she's supposed to have come to terms with what happened to her. she's never been allowed to be seen as anything but a 'weapon in human form' and now that she's not even a good weapon, what's left?
