Me when I don't pay attention to world history. I'm not saying America is "the greatest most amazing place ever". America forced its way into being the center by doing literally everything in ~300 years to get to that point. Everything America does is blasted through everyone else's news. It may not be top priority but it's fucking everywhere. American presidential election? Worldwide. American war decisions? Arms deals? Tariffs? Yep. America has its hands in every cookie jar and there is a reason all the other big players try to brush shoulders as much as possible.

When I say "the center of the world" I'm not glazing this shithole, I'm stressing how fucking scary it is that a man who surrounds himself with self-described Nazis and Nazi sympathizers is in charge of a country with this much power and influence. Especially when he's throwing tantrums on live television for all of his citizens to see.

So. I just watched BDG's Teaching Jake About the Camcorder. First off, who was gonna tell me that BDG could cook that hard. But also this hasn't left my mind since I watched it. Like in a heavy way. I decided I will share my very in-depth opinions so I can be at peace now :)

So like. This was cool at first, but it just really burned itself in here more as time went on. Every piece keeps turning in my head. Also uh spoilers here.

A common theory people had (and one I had myself) is that the dad here is dead. My initial idea was that he was just gone. Perhaps he killed himself after his wife's death, hence calling for his wife but she never shows up. But then I saw someone say that he was murdered. Someone came into their home, Jake's dad confronted him while Jake was preoccupied. Him calling for his wife but her not showing up is probably when it happened. He went looking and found the intruder. The absolutely haunting scream he lets out also immediately struck me as the scream one would make while being strangled or in severe pain. The theme of course works as "You need to let go", that much is clear. Perhaps Jake is overwriting the memories by trying to find meaning in a senseless tragedy. That's the common theory I saw while endlessly reading and watching. But I don't know about that. There are too many pieces that don't fit.

There was one commenter that got me thinking about a different possibility. Jake is the one who died. And I think this is much more likely. Bear with me. Calling for his wife? She left him after. That's why the dad says "you're not-". He realizes he's seeing himself. The silhouette/masked figure could be a lot of things. A man who killed Jake. Grief. Death. Bottled up emotions. The dad's different facial hair stages mean different things. The moustache dad sees the viewer and talks to him. The bearded dad hardly looks into camera and sounds hollow. Goatee dad looks off to the side as if he's averting his gaze. I couldn't figure out how that fit in the dad being dead, but it makes sense here. He's aged and become disheveled after his son's death. He's lost himself. Maybe that's why he walks away at the end. Or maybe he kills himself, hence the shadow. That scream, though. In this context, I find it somehow a thousand times more harrowing. The pained and silenced scream of a man who has lost everything.

Props to Simone for trying I guess. Tbh she really just did more harm for us than good. First off, her "defense" continued to "other" us, including tossing out segregation as a legitimate idea for support. But also, she fucking went back on it? So now not only did she say "nevermind you can bully trans kids my b" but she backed down under pressure, giving the right the push they needed to go on yet another campaign.

So let me just get this straight. For the last year, I have seen the same argument again and again and again. "Hamas started the war." "Palestine shouldn't have started a fight they couldn't finish." "Israel has full right to defend itself." That's it. Cut and dry. Palestine attacked first and so they deserve to be attacked back.

So tell me why all the things I'm seeing now are like "Iran sends barrage of missiles in deadly attack", "Iran declares war with retaliatory missile strike", "Praying for Israel as tensions rise", "Israel Prime Minister speaks out after Iran missile strike".

Like which the fuck is it?? I woke up this morning to articles like "Iran declares war after Israel fires on nuclear site" but now that Iran has fired back it's somehow back to "both sides" or Israel being an innocent victim? Like come on how much clearer can it get. Israel and its allies (cough US cough) are direct perpetrators of horrific war.

Super great vid. I've complained about this before, cause like the bondage community is just ripe with straight dudes who aren't actually interested in the depths of kink but just wanna abuse women. Like the amount of "kinky" guys I've come across who are actually just into choking their (usually white female) partners is legit upsetting. Lots of men look for having power. They ignore the "play" of Power Play and seek to have full and complete control over what happens.

Like Kat so eloquently points out in the video, doms are not the ones in full control. Sure, you are the "dominant" force over the "submissive" but that's just the titles. You can only go as far as your sub is willing to let you. In BDSM, the strongest power that is supposed to be central is the safe word. And while consent and objection are obviously allowed of all parties, the safe word is famously used most by subs. But these kinds of abusers don't care about the nuances of play. To them, bondage is a toolset that lets them manipulate the terminology against those who usually don't have the experience to see the problem until it's too late.

"Radical feminists" (and TERFS) tend to put their hatred toward "men" over actual progress for women. In order for this to even happen, there needs to be a distinction between the two. Studying the idea that gender is only a social practice and not rigid scientific fact threatens this distinction and, in TERF minds, threatens the ability for women to be "on top". The thing is, science doesn't create hard fact. It's all theories, and theories evolve with evidence. The reason there's so much breaking down of gender norms like this article in recent memory is not some "leftist attack", it's simply that putting more focus on trans people has caused researchers to look closer and find more information, which is always how we evolve. Unlike what TERFs think, enforcing a distinction between sexes doesn't free women- it cages them.

We really need to talk about how much everyday slang is taken from AAVE. Like ha ha gen z brainrot whatever but yall gotta understand where the language you take for granted actually comes from. "Gyatt" "rizz" "period" "cap" etc. Obviously cultures eventually intersect and habits get picked up. But don't go and make fun of the language you stole. That just makes you a dick.

Things about boobs that everyone should know

Because I just keep finding out people don't know these things!

Most boobs "sag."

Actually, on that note: very very few people have the stereotypically perfect breasts that are round and perky and don't touch your ribcage/belly. Here is an entire gallery of non-sexualized, perfectly normal breasts. Here is another one, but in one image. There's an incredible range of size and shape!

Also related: very few people fit those molded foam-cup bras. Because very few people have a boob that shape. "Then why are those kinds of bras everywhere??" Because they're cheap to make and they hide your nipples.

Your "armpit fat" is probably not armpit fat. It is probably your tail of spence, and you have lymph nodes there. Some people have a bigger or smaller tail of spence, and it has very little to do with how fat you are or how big your boobs are. (Some bras can press on it or pinch it uncomfortably, like balconettes.)

When you lie on your back, your boobs will go into your armpits. That is true of EVERYONE WITH BOOBS, with the exception of some implants. Boobs are squishy! This also means that like, lying on your side will cause them to flop over. If that's uncomfortable when you're trying to sleep, there is such a thing as "sleep bras."

Lots of people's boobs get bigger and/or painful before their period starts. Some people gain an entire cup size every month.

Whether or not you wear bras has no effect on "sagging." The one "study" on this that was written about everywhere extremely badly done. The one exception: If you do the kind of exercise that has you jumping around/jogging a lot, and you don't wear a supportive-enough bra, it's possible you can injure the cooper's ligaments. But also: that would hurt, a lot.

Bras also have no effect on whether you get breast cancer.

Everyone has one boob that's bigger than the other. It's just a matter of degree.

The size of your boobs has nothing to do with whether or not you've had sex???? I'm stunned that there are people that believe this, but I've heard multiple people say they had relatives who absolutely believed this--refused to buy teenagers the correct size bra because "only sluts wear D-cups," or insisted a thirteen-year-old was "fast" because of breast growth during puberty...good lord.

It's possible for AMAB people to breast-feed--they have the same mammary glands AFAB people do! Some hormonal issues can cause people (both AFAB and AMAB) who haven't given birth to lactate, but also there's a few cases where transgender women have been given the same hormones that AFAB people's bodies make during pregnancy/lactation, and voila! Breast milk!

(I very intentionally didn't go into bra sizing with this post, but yes, if you hate your bras, you are probably wearing the wrong size and/or style for you. That's a much more finicky topic though, so I'm just going to point out that the letter doesn't mean anything about boob size by itself, D isn't big, and Victoria's Secret's "fittings" are garbage.
