Yeah okay maybe I have a bit of a problem. Just a teensy eensy weensy bit though. Maybe.

I was gonna make Thula and the other guy into evil Kryptonians but when I went to make her into Faora I realized she's actually just Anissa in like every way (which pairs nicely with a C*****st Brutaal and T***gg Zod). So I didn't end up doing that.

Included some cute Kon and Jon cause I can. Almost switched the colors and made Ollie Mario.

(Made the second image mainly because I thought Mark looked funny in the back, but then I accidentally made Conner vogue which is incredibly in-character lol)

(That second image could also be Jor-El and Jon but it didn't fit this au [plus you can tell I did not care to put effort in that one])

Like a lot of people like to claim Deadpool is all "lol random" but the movies actually have a pretty good balance of comedy and seriousness. The second one was admittedly more humorous, but the first one definitely took itself more seriously. And this one looks to be keeping that balance.

I made Mark Spidey because 1: I am Spidey's biggest fanboy and I will never apologize, 2: Spidey and Supes are the same character (I can elaborate but it's on you to ask), and 3: Spidey and Mark are both shining beacons of hope who are also bumbling idiots that go through the most horrific shit every day.

Yes I gave Remy a goatee in reference to Nikhil Clayton, Gambit's biggest fan/lookalike. Plus he's got a nice 'stache and I thought it'd look better than stubble (and def not to distract from Gambit's wack-ass hair I don't know how to draw and couldn't be bothered to try).

Also I am coming to the realization I could have made Mark into Rogue. It would have made more sense. Idk, she's Eve in this scenario and is just watching her husband get beaten up.

Also fun fact about me Hulk is one of my top 3 favorite non-Spidey Marvel characters. The MCU did him dirty (as well as some others I like [America Chavez]) but he has a lot of depth. Just look up the death of Johnny Storm to get an idea of the true Hulk. He's right up there under the Spideys with Ben Grimm for sure.

Also I only realized while drawing this that Amanda has a huge bulge in that first shot. I understand Zall so much now.

Hear me out the show is better than the comic simply because of the music. That Final Days scene might be my favorite just from the moment when he falls from the sky. Plus the orchestra is awesome, namely Mark's theme. I don't usually get hyped for credits but I get chills every time those notes hit.

This is another good example of what I mean. Even at his weakest, Mark can effortlessly catch a hulk-strength punch and literally wave away Eve's projectiles. Yet compared to other Viltrumites, he's pathetic. He can barely land a punch, nevermind one that makes them bleed, yet they can pin him with a single finger.

It creates a really cool disconnect where we get to feel just how lonely Mark is. He's not quite human, but not quite Viltrumite. And yet we can see his growth. It's only a little bit at a time, but he's had a massive upgrade in the few months since his fight with Nolan. Before he couldn't even phase Nolan with his punches, and now he nearly completely takes down Thula and gets a few good (albeit surprisingly unaffective) hits in on Anissa.

One cool thing about Invincible I never see anyone mention is the power scaling. Typically in superhero comics (usually because of the different writers and artists), every character will be amped up to 11 and be all "super duper cool and awesome and unimaginably strong".

Like we have one comic where Spider-Man just casually takes out all of his enemies with like no effort. He literally kills Rhino with a single punch. Hulk has just destroyed entire planets, Iron Man built a mech to take down a god (multiple times), Batman can do anything with prep time (despite physical limitations), and fucking Superman can carry entire galaxies on his shoulders.

But like look at season 1 of the show. Omni Man is a Viltrumite, but with proper coordination he still nearly loses the fight. Red Rush is so fast even Nolan can't see him coming, but he's not so fast that none of them can comprehend. Mark can catch Monster Girl's fist but that doesn't mean she can't shake him off.

It allows everyone to feel relatively even. Like sure, the Viltrumites are more powerful than everyone else, but not so much that it becomes unbelievable for Mark to gain that same strength as he grows from being a scrawny teenager. It keeps the stakes high. Each corner of the world can feel just as tense and important as the Viltrumites themselves, therefore you're not just waiting to get back to Mark and his antics.

I think the most fucked up and offensive thing I've ever heard from conservatives is not any of the times they've actually tried to be offensive, cause those are a dime a dozen, they're pathetic. No. The conservative sentence that fucked me up the most is Jordan Peterson's "Checkmate liberals. We'll see who cancels who."

And not because it's actually insulting or anything, it hurts me because THAT'S NOT HOW CHESS WORKS. If it's Checkmate, then you won. It's over. There is no "we'll see", that's the end of the game. The term you're looking for is CHECK. The whole point of the sentence is that you have us cornered but haven't ultimately won yet. That is the definitive description of Check.

Then again, who am I to question the Rat Desire guy.

All I'm saying is that when Scooby Doo becomes public domain, I don't wanna see any low budget slashers. I wanna see the gang as immoral people who only hunt monsters for pay. I wanna see Scooby Doo in the style of Supernatural. Or Until Dawn. We already have series like Scoob and Shag and Mystery Inc (the fan series, not the official one) to show how to properly adapt a franchise in a cool new way. Now we must merely wait until you can do that, like, legally or whtv.
