Is this blog dead 🥺 I have a request
Hi anon! glad to see you. This blog doesn’t die unless I do, or unless I publicly announce that I’m leaving it!
It’s been a long time since I’ve interacted with this blog. It weighs pretty heavily on me because I started it as an outlet for the genuine affection I have for the character (Giyuu 💙) and the creativity he inspires within me. I’m incredibly busy and haven’t written in… God, probably around six months. Even for other things. But knowing people want things from me, from my love for Giyuu, is really comforting.
I can’t promise I’ll suddenly have a consistent schedule for updates or writing, but I will add your request to my highest priorities! I’m in a tough spot, so seeing your engagement is nice :). Makes me feel good!

okay i’ve finally collected myself enough to continue/rewrite the of many colours outline. it was actually devastating to loose what i had bc it was roughly 20,000 words (of OUTLINE. not fleshed out.) and i was barely half done. it definitely threw me into extreme writers block and hurt a lot to loose my work.
HOWEVER. it’s my favourite au i’ve got, and since it means a lot to me personally i’m going to work hard. it’s probably going to be the longest thing i’ll write for a lot of years. if you’ve got questions abt it i’ll be happy to answer bc i’ll be posting short bits of the outline/documenting my progress with it here.

hello I have come w another long ass ask I just need you to know that your blog is currently one of my favorites, I smile at your writing and ideas okay 💛
NS Au thoughts:
aw giyuus parenting being influenced by urokodaki and tsutako is so sweet to me. Like tsutako, I wish urokodakis relationship with Giyuu was explored more in the manga. How did tsutako and urokodaki baby Giyuu?
Isn’t it implied that Giyuu didn’t really visit urokodaki after his final selection? I see the potential for some sweet reconnect type thing, where they both have to relearn how to exist w each other and show each other affection since it’s been a while.
Aw Giyuu is so sweet, homemade comfort food and helping them fall asleep?? He’s so protective I love it.
Zenitsu and genya being being annoyed but comforted is so on point and of tanjiro and Giyuu are going to have another awkward conversation they are such beans . Inosuke showing off I can already imagine how proud he would be lol
He’s even protective of muichiro despite being in the same rank as him (now that I think of it I think the rest of the hashira would naturally be a tiny bit protective of him/ careful with him just because he’s so young) Him showing off is just icing on the cake lol. (I’ve seen you use this term a couple times, but in your omega verse what does dams mean?) I need to know how the pups collect him😭 also what do all the hashira and oyakata sama think about him joining them?
omg sanemi I have no doubt he would be meaner to Giyuu somehow like he’ll just find a way to antagonize him, either subconsciously or on purpose. Also sad too, I’d imagine it’d be hard to see his brother (or him for that matter) create familial bonds because of what happened to his family. Anyways sanemi is so funny I want to study him and his weird concoction of confusion anger and jealousy like a bug.
shenanigans?? like what op what shenanigans are kyo senjuro and Giyuu getting into???
Also Giyuu going to each of his pups houses,, he’s so devoted what a sweetie. what do the hashiras of the estates think of his visits.
and rengoku falling in love with Giyuu because of the way he parents makes me feel warm and fuzzy, I guess itd be really enthralling to be witnessing a such a warm side of giyuu. honestly I can picture them all getting closer like a big family, it’s sweet. I think kyojuro would be a big family man. Itd be good for both of them.
How does Giyuu fall in love with him back? How does shinjuro react to suddenly having all these people at the estate? How would kyo let Giyuu know of his feelings?
I love Saunnes other work, the mask one is just so 😭
It made me yearn for more ‘mask wearing Giyuu finally takes it off/ it breaks and the hashira react’ aus. I think soon will be adding to the omegaverse one with another story so I’m keeping an eye out for that, so excited !!!
I also love ‘Breathe for Me.’ by AniramLynx, it has a love harem square thing with sanemi, shinobu, and kyo, and Giyuu has a secret daughter and it’s endgame rengiyuu and I just love how they tackle omega verse dynamics, And the writing is awesome. The writing is also in Spanish but maybe one day there will be a translations because it is awesome ☺️
“Your Name” by OddlyStupidOtaku I am liking so far as well, if you couldn’t tell already, I am a sucker for good omegaverse aus, especially when they are focused on family dynamics
For the Giyuu x uzui fam au
I love the hc but that Giyuu likes keeping track of weather patterns, science and the like,. This is canon now i don’t care
I think Giyuu sharing little parts of himself and his past like the tea shop or river is so sweet. Lol at Giyuu sitting in the shadows, does he sunburn easily Somehow this suits him. I know im getting redundant, but I wish the manga added more bits of his backstory and childhood before he lost tsutako (I actually just want more Giyuu)
how does the uzui fam try to include Giyuu into their relationship? How outwardly obvious is their affection for each other?? I can imagine that the uzuis is that pda quadruple, but i think they might tone it down with Giyuu for his sake lol. aww I love Giyuu x healthy relationships, it’s the best ship imo
ANON. YIRE BACK!!! sorry it took me fucking forever to answer i got caught up in watching the entirety of camp cretaceous. it’s really fun. to apologize for taking a balls ass long time, there’s some fun dialogue/a little unpolished blurb for you 💕
i’m really happy you keep coming back. the fact that i’m one of your favourite blogs and that you actually enjoy my writing means a lot more to me than you probably think.
as always CW: canonical character death, briefly touching on shinjuro and kyojuros relationship (and all that entails) maybe a general warning for light angst. that’s it though!! have fun :-)
NS Au thoughts:
aw giyuus parenting being influenced by urokodaki and tsutako is so sweet to me. Like tsutako, I wish urokodakis relationship with Giyuu was explored more in the manga. How did tsutako and urokodaki baby Giyuu?
well i fucking ADORE tsutako so much actually. urokodaki and tsutako treated giyuu differently because their places in his life were fundamentally different: tsutako was his mother, his sister, the woman who raised him and loved him. she helped lay the groundwork for who is he is as a whole- she was and still is monumental in his mind. his love for her is completely and utterly huge. she treated him fairly and kindly- she treated him like her son, and wasn’t often harsh with him.
urokodaki was also gentle, but he wasn’t giyuus parent. he was giyuus teacher; first and foremost he was someone who helped guide giyuu into a very dangerous profession. he trained him to be the best of the best because giyuu (while not as hard hitting or bold as sabito) had speed, precision and a steadfast will to protect. urokodaki wouldn’t have forced him into it: giyuu took to training with his entire being.
urokodaki wasn’t always kind. there are harsh, violent lessons you must go through to become a demon slayer that won’t perish at the first clawing- the first gnash of a demons teeth is always the worst. luckily, he saw even sharper teeth hidden behind giyuus tiny smiles and soft voice.
tsutako didn’t baby him, per se, but she was soft with him. she helped him wash his hair, let him curl up in her futon with her and helped him hide the first nest he ever made. her nests were small, could fit in cabinets or forgotten cupboards- giyuu takes after her in that aspect.
urokodaki didn’t baby him. he occasionally brought him to teahouses or festivals, but he also brought sabito. he rewarded giyuu for his hard work more than he babied him.
Isn’t it implied that Giyuu didn’t really visit urokodaki after his final selection?  I see the potential for some sweet reconnect type thing, where they both have to relearn how to exist w each other and show each other affection since it’s been a while.
urokodaki loves his students. unequivocally, wholly, with everything he has. he guides them with calloused hands and his hidden gentle face, hoping they get to watch the sun rise each day. hoping the night doesn’t take them.
it always had. the night (the creatures it sires- monsters made of flesh and imploding stars) takes his students; his children. death reaches for them each time.
it had taken giyuu away from him in a different sense. he still lives, breathes, eats and sleeps- he just doesn’t come home. from the brief and quietly agonized letters he sends every once and a while urokodaki can tell the night took him- just… in a different way. he doesn’t return even when he promised, at the ripe age of fourteen and a half, to do so.
giyuu is afraid of seeing urokodaki. not the fear of demons, or of death or of loosing someone he loves, but the strange type of dread that comes when you find something you didn’t mean to forget. hadn’t meant to leave behind, didn’t want to part with but couldn’t bear to hold. he’s ashamed of breaking his promises.
eventually, giyuu gets a letter from tanjiro. nezuko enjoys being with urokodaki and tanjiro misses him. he assumes giyuu does as well and implores him to visit.
urokodaki isn’t aware that his other students (nezuko included of course) have bonded so closely with giyuu. his one student who was taken by the night and spat back out. tanjiro had returned to him bathed in the light of dawn; giyuu finally arrives home on a clouded noon, years after he left.
they’re both new people, but in that singular moment urokodaki is staring down at the half-frozen child he met so long ago. giyuu looks back at him, guilt, shame and relief building tightly in him.
when urokodaki hugs him, cradling the back of giyuus head in his hand and mask tipped to the side to hug him better, he realizes giyuu is taller than him. the sun does not break from behind the clouds; but urokodaki thinks one dreary day is a small price in the face of his beloved student coming home.
Zenitsu and genya being being annoyed but comforted is so on point and of tanjiro and Giyuu are going to have another awkward conversation they are such beans . Inosuke showing off I can already imagine how proud he would be lol
He’s even protective of muichiro despite being in the same rank as him Him showing off is just icing on the cake lol. (I’ve seen you use this term a couple times, but in your omega verse what does dams mean?)
the kids love giyuu a lot but they’re still getting used to him, and vice versa. tanjiro is used to protecting and providing so having someone do it for him feels… a little bit condescending at first, but when they talk about it he begins to settle into the idea more. it’s meant out of a genuine want for his safety and happiness as opposed to giyuu not thinking he’s capable.
eventually they all settle in enough to show off, mui and inosuke (and nezuko oddly enough) just get a head start.
dams are another term for mother, usually used in relation to omegas (both male and female) and has slightly different emotional connotations than just “mom”.
I need to know how the pups collect him😭 also what do all the hashira and oyakata sama think about him joining them?
it’s all tanjiros fault, really. when mui and giyuu were recovering from their mission, giyuu was in a very hormonally vulnerable state because he had just fully imprinted on a pup who was injured while in his care. he started nesting even while his hip/leg was fucked up, and was spending a lot of his time in his nest with mui.
tanjiro visited him a lot, sometimes even being pulled into the nest beside mui because he fucking loves tanjiro (this is after the sword smith arc).
nezuko was always with tanjiro, and where they went zenitsu and inosuke were never far behind. they were consistently shooed away because “if you don’t get out of his nest right now you’ll mess him up more and delay recovery for them both! not to mention you’re all still pups and Tomioka was just newly imprinted on!” (by aoi, who didn’t notice -or maybe just didn’t acknowledge- that she was also slowly imprinting on giyuu)
kanao also frequently did shooing duty, but liked to spend time with the others while they were all there.
tanjiro saw that giyuu and mui were healing and in better spirits, as giyuu was becoming more open and warm with them (beginning to treat them as his pups) and mui was lightening up around people that weren’t tanjiro or giyuu!
he dragged genya around too, because they’re friends damnnit and genya is going to spend some boss ass quality time with them if he like it or not.
this all backfires spectacularly when shinobu catches all of these children taking a dogpile nap on giyuu. they’re careful of his and muichirous injuries, but still. she’s right cheesed when she figures out giyuu has claimed them as his: they’re his kids now and nothing will make him let them go.
oyakata was both so very very pleased to become a grandfather (something he didn’t think would happen before he died) and also quietly amused. his biological children are also pleased to become aunts and an uncle, even if their nieces/nephews are older than them.
shinobu has some confusing feelings abt it all. on one hand, giyuu is healing from being nulled and is creating important bonds with people, but in the other he keeps stealing her fucking kids/sister. the triplets, aoi and kanao are her girls. but giyuu just swept on in and started mothering them. so to be petty (and to maybe give herself a little bit of normalcy) she starts acting all Pack Alpha around the girls. and mui. and the other kids. (she’s digging herself a fucking grave. giyuu has begun to act like she’s part of the pack. she’s so stupid for thinking this wouldn’t happen)
mitsuri, gyomei, and uzui all think it’s nice. uzui thinks it’s more funny and flashy than pleasant, but he still gossips about it with his wives.
obanai fucking hates it. end of story.
muichirou and kyojuro both adore it. muichirou doesn’t remember everything about his life before, but he remembers warmth. he remembers hands that held his face and swept away his tears; the scent of home buzzes constantly in his nose- the memories from his family before and the fresh notes of his family now. he promises that he will never forget any of them ever again.
kyojuro can’t get enough of it. giyuu smiles at him, spars with him, flutters at the edges of his vision even when he’s gone. the thought of giyuu is always with him; the shape of his body and the tilt of his lips when he hums to a curled up nezuko sleeping peacefully in his lap. bathed in light or rain or fucking ash giyuu would be more breathtaking then any god in kyojuros eyes.
omg sanemi I have no doubt he would be meaner to Giyuu somehow like he’ll just find a way to antagonize him, either subconsciously or on purpose. Also sad too, I’d imagine it’d be hard to see his brother (or him for that matter) create familial bonds because of what happened to his family.  Anyways sanemi is so funny I want to study him and his weird concoction of confusion anger and jealousy like a bug.
oh don’t worry anon sanemis emotions get explored. also his relationship with his parents, genya and their other siblings. just wait. it’ll be so fucking fun. (and heartbreaking 💕)
shenanigans?? like what op what shenanigans are kyo senjuro and Giyuu getting into???
mostly the shenanigans are giyuu coming to the flame estate and everyone either a) going super overkill in training to show off their progress, b) shinjuro and giyuu awkwardly existing in each other’s presence (bc shinjuro Knows. he is completely aware of his eldest sons infatuation) c) kyojuro attempting to “subtly” keep giyuu and senjuro from spending too much time together while still pushing them together enough for them to get along or d) some horrible mix of them all, plus other random little issues.
it’s a whole mess, basically, but they all become more in tuned with each other. shinjuro is the exception of course; he’s fairly distant with his sons students. and the pretty water hashira.
Also Giyuu going to each of his pups houses,, he’s so devoted what a sweetie. what do the hashiras of the estates think of his visits.
the hashira of the estates generally like giyuu a lot. kyojuro is… horribly in love with him, and would give anything for the chance to properly show it.
gyomei thinks giyuu is sweet- and he never actually intended to steal his student. his visits are usually timed well enough to never interrupt anything and he brings gyomei high quality cat treats as gratitude gifts, so gyomei has no complaints. (it helps that genya seems to relax quite a bit when with two extremely powerful omegas who care about him very much- he’s not scared of being an omega, but the thought of navigating it alone was never pleasant)
muichirou obviously loves being in his home with giyuu, even though he’s taken to spending a good amount of his down time in the water estate. most of his house hands are working there now- it gets a lot more traffic and now requires a lot more upkeep. he’s a tiny little pre-presentation alpha pup with a mother that he loves to impress. his collection of terrariums is no joke, and he finds they both enjoy spending quiet time surrounded by the pretty glass jars.
shinobu definitely likes giyuu; she wishes his newfound tendencies towards gaining children stopped or at LEAST slowed down though. she and giyuu get a bunch of focus for their relationship as well- i’m unsure about whether or not to keep it platonic but still with lots of intimacy and trust (like queer platonic partners- commitment and love but not strictly romantic) or if i should go the romantic route. i’m 50-50 split currently. all i know is that she’s an important part of the ever growing pack.
How does Giyuu fall in love with him back? How does shinjuro react to suddenly having all these people at the estate? How would kyo let Giyuu know of his feelings?
giyuu falls in love with a lot of difficultly, grief, and guilt. he and sabito were courting from the ages of 12-15, and had promises. they were supposed to become the water pillars together- a bonded team so strong they would embody the ocean and all her tides. when sabito died giyuu felt less like the ocean and more like an ice floe; cold dark and dangerous, isolating in strange and terrifying ways.
in some ways he never let go. even after he begins to heal, let himself thaw and crumble under the warmth of his pups love, his pack, there was always the shape of sabito carved into him. a brand of love, friendship and deep respect- but a brand nonetheless.
generally, giyuu thinks it’s a disrespect to sabitos memory to fall in love with someone else. to hold them like that in the same space in giyuus heart that he had taken. but slowly, as giyuu visits the flame pillar estate more often and watches him live (the night his crow had told him of the train is held deep inside of himself. he does not think about why the memory rests next to the news of his parents death- of his sister smoothing his hair as she sobbed and sobbed and didn’t let him see them even after the villagers helped remove them from the house.) he realizes that sabitos place can remain his.
he can keep his first love (his first everything) in the same place. he doesn’t have to throw him away to love someone again. tanjiro and nezuko don’t throw away their family for a new one- muichirou doesn’t throw away his sparse memories of a face mirroring his own for the other pups. zenitsu doesn’t throw away his grandfather or even the brother that hated him; they all just make new space. giyuu simply (read: with great difficulty and lots of hesitation) wants to do the same.
giyuu doesn’t love like the ocean- nor does he feel like it when he’s with kyojuro. kyojuro is hot embers and thick sloughing metal- giyuu feels like the moment he makes contact he’ll burst into steam. kyojuro makes giyuu feel like endless rain sinking deep into the earth. he isn’t a glacier, or a steep and deadly ice floe, but he is a man. a man and an omega and a mother and a son and his sisters little brother. he wants kyojuro.
kyojuro is both stunningly impatient and mature, which tempers his impatience enough to seem nonexistent. he’s eager and jovial and quick to move, but not stupid. he thinks things through, he just has very little shame or boundaries with himself. other people on the other hand…
they aren’t easy for him. he gets along with most people but it’s usually by accident or by saving them from a demon that would’ve killed them. giyuu is easy to speak with- gentle and quiet but easy to goad into reacting if you phrase things right. he’s competitive, resilient and so so fucking gorgeous.
kyojuro doesn’t tell giyuu right away. he can tell there is still a thick wall between giyuus heart and everyone else. the pups hop the wall often, but occasionally stumble or are knocked back. kyo very rarely even gets to climb high enough to glimpse the other side.
he speaks with his father first. it’s painful, in the way speaking privately with his father has been for years, but there is no alcohol in the room and it smells of his mothers favourite incense.
shinjuro listens for once. takes the time to watch his son, his eldest boy- a hearty alpha and reliable young man. his darling pup, who he has hurt deeply in the past and continues to do so even now when he doesn’t do much of anything. lets his sons worry and adoration for the beautiful and destroyed omega that has captured his heart wash over him. when he had met the new water hashira, he was taken aback by how fair he looked while being so cold. so dull. he had seen the grief for what it was- his wife’s death left a similar mark on him.
when kyojuro finishes speaking he waits for a moment, then two, then his patience wears thin and he moves to leave.
“that boy has loved someone before. deeply. like how you love him, like how i lo- how i loved your mother. i was ruined by her death. i’m still ruined.” he begins, not baring to look at his boy anymore. kyojuro settles back down.
“whoever they were they were ripped from him. it was probably the catalyst to him being nulled. it’s a miracle he’s not a completely blank slate, now.”
they’re both silent. kyojuro is deep in thought, replaying interactions with giyuu for signs he might’ve overlooked. he’s not jealous, or angry, but sad. he adores giyuu with everything he has, but if giyuu loves someone else he would’ve wanted them to be here with giyuu loving him as they must have.
“he doesn’t look at you with blank eyes. he did to me, and most of the other people he ever saw- like he was looking right through them. to love a man like that is almost a death sentence.” kyojuro has no words for that that are kind. instead he offers this;
“giyuu has always looked at me without malice, at least. there has never been disappointment in him- not for me.”
shinjuro doesn’t shiver with rage or shame as he usually would.
“break it to him slowly. talk to his pups and his pack, then make yourself clear. don’t expect an answer. don’t expect it to be a pretty or soft confession; he might be pretty and soft but he is far from both at once. dont… don’t wait, kyojuro. whatever you do, reach for him.” during his speech, made with tilted and rusty words of encouragement, kyojuro has folded in on himself. he knows this is the closest thing he’ll get to fatherly approval. for now, it’s enough.
For the Giyuu x uzui fam au
I think Giyuu sharing little parts of himself and his past like the tea shop or river is so sweet. Lol at Giyuu sitting in the shadows, does he sunburn easily Somehow this suits him. I know im getting redundant, but I wish the manga added more bits of his backstory and childhood before he lost tsutako (I actually just want more Giyuu)
i feel you anon. i’m desperate for more information but since there isn’t any i’ve just been making shit up!! it’s great
how does the uzui fam try to include Giyuu into their relationship? How outwardly obvious is their affection for each other?? I can imagine that the uzuis is that pda quadruple, but i think they might tone it down with Giyuu for his sake lol.
they take him on a lot of dates, and spend a lot of time with him. he spends a lot of his time while not on missions in the sound estate- his house feels so cold and so quiet now. he still can’t bring himself to furnish it because at his core giyuu believes it’s not his place.
so instead he keeps things with the uzui family. he has a room with a handmade wood box inlaid with silk, which keeps tsutakos bow, half the rope from sabitos mask, and various trinkets that people he’s saved have given him. they (along with his haori) are his most painful and important possessions.
the fact that he can put them here, in this house with these people who he adores and aches for in equal measure, says a lot.
the uzuis are fond of pda, but they’re not actually too intense with it. there’s definitely a level of casual intimacy that always surrounds them, but it’s not forced or anything. they fold giyuu into the mix fairly naturally and after a few months it’s not a strange sight to see uzui just toss one of his wives and giyuu over his shoulder and bounce around. he seems so happy and it makes them laugh. they don’t have to tone things down because giyuu would tell them if he was uncomfortable (even if it was just with his expression/body language)

Omg I love your blog, I was thinking you might be interested in a Royal au. I think your writing would be perfect for it.
Also can I be anon 🏳️‍🌈
yknow what. fuck yeah you can be 🏳️‍🌈 anon.
a royal au would be fun as fuck!! idk where giyuu would fit (if he’s the royal or if he interacts with them) but the Ideas are Swarming
what were you thinking? did you have pairings in mind? i’m thinking something based more so in fantasy and probably queer. i’ve also been vaguely considering something with mermaid giyuu bc everything is better with mermaids

eeeeee im so happy you like my ideas don’t apologize for long posts I love them I love youuuuu !!!!
im obsessed w your aus rn;
im a tsutako enthusiast i love her and I wish we got to see more of her and her impact in the manga. Yeahhh i bet tsutako would feel really guilty after that. I think even after Giyuu and tsutako talk about giyuus hang ups with being called a practice pup and tsutakos feelings on taking up a parental role so young, that their relationship wouldn’t change that much, other than tsutako making sure that they talk to each other about their feelings, maybe?
Aw and imagining all the kids following him around like ducklings aftewards is so funny to me. Especially genya since he’s a good couple cm taller than giyuu!
How does he spend time w each of them i need to knowww!!!! He’s so awkward I want to know how he babies them!! He actually reminds me of urokodaki lol harsh yet loving ha.
poor Sanemi his one sided rival/ enemy showing affection?!?! to his estranged little brother!?!?
ooo rengoku having a crush on Giyuu!! And finding giyuus habit of collecting pups (or the pups collecting him? thats even cuter lol) enthralling!! and so funny how now he has to make sure senjuro doesn’t end up getting imprinted on as well like kanao. (Is that why shinobus angry?? yes I love rengoku lives aus those are my comfort aus. now that he’s the kamaboko squads mentor, giyuus gonna have to interact w him more huh? hmmm I wonder how that’s gonna go
this actually reminds me of the ff ‘What You're Thinking Of ? [You've Seen Me Bare]’ by saunne,
and of course uzui would like the drama that would entail
As for the uzui fivesome au; Giyuu deserves all the love , it’s so sweet reading how all of the uzuis fall in love w him !!😭!! I just want to see him get pampered, praised, hugged he’s been through so much he deserves it
How did Giyuu fall in love w the uzuis?? It must’ve been at least a bit confusing for him, especiall when they started making passes at him and he has no idea how to go from there
anon there is one thing i have to say to you. youre fueling me. your ideas are wonderful and i literally get happy-goosebumps whenever i see that little blue dot on my inbox. ANYWAY:
CW: other than some vague mentions of canonical character death, nothing big
I think even after Giyuu and tsutako talk about giyuus hang ups with being called a practice pup and tsutakos feelings on taking up a parental role so young, that their relationship wouldn’t change that much, other than tsutako making sure that they talk to each other about their feelings, maybe?
their relationship wouldn't change that much; but giyuus outlook/attitude towards kohei and the other nagai's improves. he becomes less stiff around them- he warms up quite a bit. though in the end its all the more devastating when everything falls apart 💕
How does he spend time w each of them i need to knowww!!!! He’s so awkward I want to know how he babies them!! He actually reminds me of urokodaki lol harsh yet loving ha.
that was the main idea! the only parental figures he really had were tsutako and urokodaki- their influences shape his own reactions to becoming a parent.
as for how he babies them; it differs according to what he thinks they need. if someone is flagging during training, they get a ten minute break, some hand-made manju (which are amazing- im partial to pork or fruit flavours. they also have an interesting history in japan) and an order for an hour of endurance training.
if one of the pups is sick or truly exhausted from a mission he whisks them away to his estate: to their personalized room or to spend time in the pond-gardens. he scents them, feeds them and speaks to them softly until they fall asleep wrapped in his haori. he doesn’t really say much as his love language is more quality time/acts of service, but some of the pups are eased by his voice.
another way he babies them is that he kind of herds them around during missions that he DEFINETLY was not assigned to and then kind of micromanages how they do their things. zenitsu and genya find it annoying but also comforting, tanjiro is discouraged at first bc he thinks giyuu doesn’t believe in him but after an awkward but heartfelt conversation he’s more reassured. kanao doesn’t feel one way or another (she gets a strange soft sensation when he’s with her- it makes her feel small in a kind way. she doesn’t realize the feeling is safety) and inosuke is just excited to show off to his boss-ass mom who is also the First Hand in his “army” (which is just the other pups).  mui is usually sent on missions by himself or with some mid-high level slayers, so he either gets to spend one-on-one time with giyuu or show off to these Lowly Pathetic Slayers Without Cool Hashira Dams.
in this au nezuko has a little bit more awareness than in canon- she can recognize when people she spends a lot of time with aren’t her biological family. she recognizes them as who they are because over time she begins to see through the illusions and claims the people behind them as her new pack. random humans are still overlayed by images of her mother and siblings, but giyuu, tanjiro, the other pups, and few others she spends a lot of time with are themselves. she understands that these random humans aren’t her family, that they’re gone, but she still protects them.
poor Sanemi his one sided rival/ enemy showing affection?!?! to his estranged little brother!?!?
no its genuinely so funny. he tries very hard to stick to the “i have no brother so this doesn’t matter to me” but he’s so confused. and jealous. and angry, because genya is trying to replace their ‘real’ mother (who loves her remaining boys very much and watches them with heavy hearts). he just... tries not to think about it. and takes a lot more missions.
ooo rengoku having a crush on Giyuu!! And finding giyuus habit of collecting pups (or the pups collecting him? thats even cuter lol) enthralling!! and so funny how now he has to make sure senjuro doesn’t end up getting imprinted on as well like kanao. (Is that why shinobus angry?? yes I love rengoku lives aus those are my comfort aus. now that he’s the kamaboko squads mentor, giyuus gonna have to interact w him more huh? hmmm I wonder how that’s gonna go
there’s a lot of shenanigans about kyojuro trying to deter senjuro and giyuu from spending lots of time together, but ultimately it doesn’t work. giyuu spends a ton of his free time switching through where his pups are (the kamaboko squad at the flame pillar estate, genya in the stone pillar estate, kanao aoi and the triplets in the butterfly estate and ofc the mist pillar estate) so he comes around often.
rengoku finds himself actually falling in love with giyuu. he’s invested in his pups lives, and with their influence he’s slowly shedding old hurts and cold habits. he’s becoming someone he should’ve been in the first place; giyuu is healing through taking care of others. he trains them, he feeds them and guides them- he reminds kyojuro of his mother. they’re different, of course, but they have similarities in the way they love. not like bonfires or explosions or the all-encompassing ocean, but like embers of a well-kept fire or a winding river that has already faced the test of time. in the end he cant keep himself away.
this actually reminds me of the ff ‘What You're Thinking Of ? [You've Seen Me Bare]’ by saunne,
YESS THAT WAS A HUGE INSPIRATION FOR ME!! i love that fic so much and ive read it multiple times. im trying to stay away from the plot as much as i can, but there are things that i just couldn’t not repurpose or draw from. read saunne’s other work!! the one about giyuu being haunted by sabito!! its amazing too!
It must’ve been at least a bit confusing for him, especiall when they started making passes at him and he has no idea how to go from there
well you see. giyuu has massive feelings.( “I didn't want to remember because my tears would never stop. When I did remember, I was so sad I couldn't do anything.” - quote from the manga) but he doesn’t really know what to do with them and he naturally doesn’t have a very expressive demeanor, so they get swept under the rug. he’s aware that he’s in love with all four of them- he just doesn’t think about it too much.
as soon as he goes through the “oh fuck. ive fallen deeply and wholly in love with each of them and they’re all very important to me” phase, it just becomes another fact to him. he had an older sister. his favourite food is simmered salmon daikon. as a child his main hobby was tracking temperature and rain or catching fireflies in the summer. he is and always will be in love with tengen, makio, suma and hinatsuru. he has blue eyes. these things are the building blocks of who he is; giyuu just doesn’t realize there’s a possibility of them loving him back.
he falls in love very slowly. he’s not unaware of it happening- he just doesn’t know how to stop it.
makio always had something new for him. she gave him things, things meant for him alone. gifts with his initials embroidered on the edges, pins that match his eyes, books on poetry and weather and the science of how fireflies glow. each new thing is accompanied by thought and affection. they carry parts of herself in the contours of the gifts and the hum in her chest when he accepts. giyuu can’t bear not accepting her.
hinatsuru likes fruit. giyuu also likes fruit. so they spend a lot of time in the beautiful shaded orchards that line the sound pillar property- he lays in the shadows and she lays in the sun beside him. she takes him to plays he’s never seen, leads him through shops and libraries and in turn he takes her to his quietest, most beloved spots. the river he fell in when he was two, where he also learned to swim. the tea shop urokodaki took him on special weekends after long hours of training. certain wisteria houses with lovely ducks that have never disliked him. giyuu wants to share with her.
suma speaks so quickly but always clearly. she never says anything that can be mistaken as something else. shes direct and acts simple, when in reality she’s anything but. giyuu can see that her emotions are also huge, towering things that overwhelm her. she’s just on the “very expressive” side of the spectrum. he can sit next to her with a blank face and one-word answers and she understands him so easily. giyuu adores the way she exists.
tengen is a very tactile person. giyuu was, once, but finds it difficult to breach the distance he’s built. tengen takes his hand just as often as he takes his blades; the surety of it is present too. they spar sometimes, full contact yet somehow their blows glance off each other like children playing tag. by the end one or both of them is always laughing. he enjoys that tengen knows when to back off or come closer; giyuu ends up breaching the distance himself.
giyuu is a creature of habit, routine, an self-repression. the uzuis break him out of that last one, and he just can’t help but love them.

may i request more about the Personal Space au 😇
yes of course you can anon!
sorry it took me so long to answer; i was deciding how i wanted to go about answering this ask. in the end i chose to give you part of the outline: one of the more polished parts (which i got a little carried away with) near the beginning. it’s from obanais pov and also has a lot of neopronouns to refer to the hashira, so you might get a little lost. hope you enjoy anyway!
“Come on, Tomika-san! Have you really never drank before?” Mitsuri laughs, moving her plate to make room for another round of food. Obanai is watching Tomioka with vague annoyance. Lo hasn’t said much all night, only sparing quiet greetings and one well wish for Mitsuri’s birthday, but Obanai still thinks his presence is grating.
“I’ve had a few drinks, but only by accident. I’ve never purposefully drank before,” lo says in loves stupid tiny voice. Uzui laughs loudly to Obanai’s left, which startles eim, but everyone is momentarily distracted by the servers carrying out more plates. There are a lot of western-style dishes along with more traditional foods mixed in.
They all lean back (except Muichirou, who has fallen asleep dangerously close to a fresh pot of tea) to make room. Rengoku and Mitsuri cheer as the dishware clinks against the table.
She looks lovely. It’s technically two days after her birthday, but she had wanted to see everyone. She’d organized everything the moment that all the pillars were free; lucky for her it was still pretty close to the actual date. Her hair is tied back tonight, forgoing her usual triple braids and she’s bathed in the warm orange light of dusk. Everything about her seems to glow. Obanai swallows harshly, eir mouth suddenly dry, and grapples for eir half-empty sake.
“Well, maybe you should indulge tonight! Loosen up, maybe smile a bit. It’s Mitsuri’s birthday; you’re allowed to have fun!” Uzui calls to the utter delight of Mitsuri. She stands abruptly, slamming her hands on the table. Muichirou jumps, strands of hair sticking to their face.
“Tomioka! You should smile! For my birthday, you can smile!” Mitsuri squeals. Her face is red, eyes slightly fuzzy... Maybe she’s drinking more than ey thought.
“Yes, Tomioka-san!” Shinobu sings from across the table. She’s also flushed, leaning against the sturdy support of Gyomei. “Give Mitsuri a big smile, for her birthday! You’re not allowed to not smile today!” The more rambunctious pillars all goad them on, chanting about Tomioka giving Mitsuri a friendly look for her birthday. Sanemi makes a snide remark about Tomioka not knowing how, so they’re incapable of looking nice. Tomioka’s face doesn’t change but loves hands tense.
“I can smile- I’m not incapable,” they spit. Oh, so they are going to smile. Mitsuri leans in, balancing herself over the table to get a closer look.
Loves face twitches, lip pulling up unevenly. It occurs to Obanai, distantly, that ey’ve never seen Tomioka without that bland rat expression on their face. Ey pulls eir lower bandages down to take a sip of sake just as Giyuu smiles, choking on the sweet liquor.
Tomioka’s entire face seems different. Their eyes have always been a focal point, a deep cold blue- almost black in the right light- accenting long glossy eyelashes around pretty almond eyes. Now they’ve thinned even more with the force of Tomioka’s grin; cheeks a light pink and teeth shining. He seems younger, much wilder and even mischievous. There’s also kindness in their features, fine lines pulled tight in sweeping curves. Lo has a single crooked tooth, set back at the top row behind their canine. Obanai notes that without smiling you would never see it. Tomioka’s nose scrunches up a bit at the bridge when they smile, too. It matches the way Mitsuri’s nose wrinkles when she laughs.
“Oh!” Mitsuri gasps, seemingly recovering from whatever trance she’d been put under. She throws her arms out, thighs digging into the edge of the table and hands slapping none-to-gently against Tomioka’s soft cheeks. She brings their faces closer and Obanai can’t even be jealous because ey have no fucking clue what’s happening, and honestly ey’d kind of like a clearer look at Tomioka’s expression too.
“This is the best gift I have ever been given. You’re so pretty, Tomi-chan, what the fuck. Please smile at me again, every day, please! I’ll die if I never see it again!” she wails. Rengoku pipes up beside Tomioka, arms crossed tightly and gaze locked onto the water pillar.
“I would also like to see you smile again! Mitsuri is correct; you’re very beautiful! I too will perish if you don’t smile at me!” It yells. Obanai winces. Rengoku is even louder than usual, even though he didn’t drink anything. Maybe the excitement of tonight is getting to him.
Giyuu flushes a bright red in Mitusris hold. Their smile turns softer; lo leans into her hands and closes their eyes.

yayyy i am so glad this blog is still alive lol.
RIP to the OMC au outline you will be missed 🪦
Here’s my thoughts, idk how to organize this so prepare for word vomit:
For the nesting au
I think this is especially interesting if tsutako were engaged as in canon. giyuu would probably dread tsutako getting married bc of the likelihood of her having pups. would he be afraid of being replaced/forgotten about? would he be jealous of her fiancé and their future pups??
I think an interesting fic idea is mb giyuu stressing out about this and having a breakdown in which he admits to tsutako about this and how he views her, and how upset he gets when she calls him a “practice pup.” how would tsutako react??
idk this.., I just love this hc.
would tsutako think of Giyuu as her son too? Idk what their age gap is, but if she’s the only one who remembers their parents, she might think of him as her own pup but feels that by taking on that role that she is then erasing their parents memories or overstepping or w/e.
also, I just need to know how the hashira react to Giyuu and mui imprinting on each other lol. Like, their whole perspective of this dude they’ve been working w for years changes when they see him suddenly taking on a parental role.
Giyuus instincts awakening is gonna be like a second puberty for him, I see the potential for a lot of awkward moments lol. he’s definitely gonna need help from the other hashira.
as for the uzugang/giyuu fivesome:
i think the uzui fam and giyuus’ personalities contrast really well, I think he’d kinda be like a blunter, quieter, more tone deaf hinatsuru, he just calms everyone down, a say it how it is kind of guy yk. And Giyuu could really benefit from their company, like when uzui finds out that giyuus really not a bad guy, he’d probably help him open up more to the other hashira (in his own flamboyant, uzui way of course.) Suma, Hina, and Makio would be so patient w him, they would not find his quietness/ off putting, I think it would be really wholesome. The uzui quartet would appreciate him for his honesty and his selflessness.
I need to see how the uzui foursome falls in love w him. like whatd this guy do to warrant being called the crazy little fuck? howd he manage to impress them all so much lol I need to know. Them flirting w him and he just doesn’t know how to respond, or the hashira seeing a relationship develop btwn people who are on completely opposite sides of the personality spectrum
Something that also makes this really interesting is that before becoming demon slayers the uzui pack believed that the mission was more valuable than their own lives. Uzui makes it his mission to make sure his wives value their lives and live w/o guilt. How would they react when they see a reflection of their past selves in Giyuu?
this was a lot you don’t have to respond to all of it, or any of it you could word vomit and id eat it right up. your aus just got me thinking lol, it’s why I kept my request so broad ;)))
please never apologize for word vomit!!! i love your ideas and your interaction means the world to me. genuinely got me giggling and kicking my feet. anon i might just have to fall in love with you/j
also sorry for the massive long post i’m about to drop on you
CW; mentions of canonical character death, dismissal of ones own life, maybe some minor illusions to violence
For the nesting au
I think this is especially interesting if tsutako were engaged as in canon. giyuu would probably dread tsutako getting married bc of the likelihood of her having pups. would he be afraid of being replaced/forgotten about? would he be jealous of her fiancé and their future pups??
i think about tsutako and her fiancé a lot. over all of my aus, i use the same family and fiancé because i got attached to them in OMC. in there they had a positive relationship, but here not so much. giyuu is apprehensive and abnormally cold to them all, especially tsutakos fiancé kohei (full name nagai kohei- he’s great!) who attempts to form a positive relationship with giyuu.
he resents the nagai family just as must as he is glad for their fondness of tsutako. she’s loved and treasured properly; giyuu just can’t reconcile with the idea that she might not want him in her future life.
he’s under the impression that he will take up too much of her biological pups space in the future and assumes she thinks so too. this reflects poorly in his attitude towards the marriage, kohei, the nagai family and even tsutako.
he doesn’t really have the heart to be truly jealous of her future pups; he loves his sister too much to honestly think badly about her happiness.
I think an interesting fic idea is mb giyuu stressing out about this and having a breakdown in which he admits to tsutako about this and how he views her, and how upset he gets when she calls him a “practice pup.” how would tsutako react?? would tsutako think of Giyuu as her son too? Idk what their age gap is, but if she’s the only one who remembers their parents, she might think of him as her own pup but feels that by taking on that role that she is then erasing their parents memories or overstepping or w/e.
this is actually something i’ve already got planned!! tsutako does remember their parents, as she was 14 when they died. it hit her really hard, because her mother was pregnant and her father was their pack alpha. she was just starting to have mock heats/deeper instincts so she was very lost the first few years. having her little brother helped, because small children act as a sort of pseudo-beta until their dynamics develop.
she views him kind of as her son, yeah. but she feels a lot of guilt over it as she knows giyuu doesn’t actually remember their parents very well- she thinks she’s taken too much space in giyuus life as a “fake parent”. she and giyuu mirror each other in that way. she was also vaguely resentful towards her parents for leaving her to raise a child AS a child, but it was another faucet of her overwhelming grief.
she would be wrecked. she loves giyuu dearly and thought she was doing him a kindness for not pushing her own feelings on him, but to find out he thought of her the same way and was hurt by her casual dismissals hurts her in turn. she still feels guilt about taking their parents place in his life but she now eases into it a little more.
also, I just need to know how the hashira react to Giyuu and mui imprinting on each other lol. Like, their whole perspective of this dude they’ve been working w for years changes when they see him suddenly taking on a parental role.
Giyuus instincts awakening is gonna be like a second puberty for him, I see the potential for a lot of awkward moments lol. he’s definitely gonna need help from the other hashira.
oh the hashira have such varying personalities and views of both giyuu and mui it’s hilarious.
shinobu (a fairly mid-range alpha) was the first to know- she was leading the team of kakushi to their location when muis crow finally came in after the blizzard and suitably freaked out a bit. she was kind of angry about it being a fully recognized imprint, which means giyuu imprinted back and now he’s got a son apparently. during their recovery there’s a lot of her trying to keep tanjiro the FUCK OUT. because him bringing around all these children will definitely fuck with giyuu more.
tanjiro is under the impression of “more people to support you and love you while you recover is always the best option” but doesn’t realize that he’s kind of opening pandora’s box.
the other hashira have varying reactions. gyomei (another omega who has experience with taking care of multiple children) feels deeply for giyuu and thinks that though odd, they make a good pair and will suit each others needs. he’s definitely glad and amused by the pups giyuu collects (who actually kind of collect him), starting with mui and going farther.
mitsuri (an energetic omega) thinks it’s the cutest most wonderful thing she’s ever seen. she finds out from rengoku (who survives in this au and becomes the kamabokos teacher!!) who learned from the kids. she only saw giyuu and mui in recovery once while going to visit shinobu, but they were so adorable silently drinking tea and watching clouds in the gardens!!
sanemi (beta) and obanai (beta) have similar but still varied reactions. obanai has an overwhelming sense of dread whenever he sees giyuu, followed by an odd sort of jealousy. how did this self-righteous, boring egotistical egg of a man become a better parent then the ones he was born to? obanai doesn’t like it.
sanemi hates giyuu. it doesn’t help that tanjiro has been basically kidnapping genya to take to giyuu, resulting in the hilarious view of this huge newly-presenting omega begrudgingly following around his pseudo-dam. who babys him and is harsh with him in equal measure. overall sanemi is unnerved and unsettled by it.
rengoku (one of the four alpha pillars) thinks it’s enthralling. he’s glad that these wayward children have someone reliable to look to, even if it isn’t always him! it helps he’s got a little bit of a crush on giyuu- but he’s definitely not letting him anywhere near senjuro. he heard about giyuu claiming that kanao girl as one of his pups (right under shinobus nose!) and would rather not go through that.
uzui (alpha) thinks it’s fucking hilarious, and the dramatics definitely increase giyuus flamboyancy in his eyes.
as for the  uzugang/giyuu fivesome:
i think the uzui fam and giyuus’ personalities contrast really well, I think he’d kinda be like a blunter, quieter, more tone deaf hinatsuru, he just calms everyone down, a say it how it is kind of guy yk.
Them flirting w him and he just doesn’t know how to respond, or the hashira seeing a relationship develop btwn people who are on completely opposite sides of the personality spectrum
oh the uzui fam at first just thinks he’s interesting. a puzzle, who reflects old views they had about their own lives and needs to be solved. but after spending a lot of time with him, learning the ways to get him to engage himself, learning anything they can and watching him exist so quietly- when they know he could be louder, bolder- they become invested.
they fall in love with him for lots of different reasons. different times and scenarios- their first inklings that each of them loves him are completely separate.
hinatsuru catches him on the edges of the estate, walking in tight circles and looking longingly at their home- he wasn’t invited today. he came… to them. he made the effort to see them. she laughs, and takes his arm, walking towards the orchard instead of the house. in the warm sun, broken often by clouds, hinatsuru wants giyuu to make an effort always. she wants to give the effort back, too. she wants giyuu with them, and it doesn’t matter what that looks like.
makio realized she was in love with him without him there. she was at a market, buying gifts for her wives and husband (as she does often, she loves them and they deserve nice things) and she found herself with an extra little thing at each stand she visited. at the end of the day, before returning home, she lays out the extra things she bought to figure them out.
a blue tourmaline hairpin-which would look nice on suma but wouldn’t quite match her- some sturdy gloves in a size that wouldn’t fit any of them, and a small book on weather patterns. there’s only one person who’s ever mentioned interest in weather, and when she thinks about the pin in thick black hair it matches perfectly. she doesn’t know when she memorized the size of giyuus hands, but it’s just as well.
suma thinks she could fall in love with giyuu easily. he tempers them in a different way then hina, colder (but not sharply- always gentle and quiet) and less often. he seems unsure of himself around them but the moment there is something he perceives as Job or Mission, he becomes so oddly confident in everything. there is no hesitation. no room for error or slowness.
she notices his accuracy. demons killed by pinpointing the softest part of their neck; the exact moment an opening is available giyuu is there. he recognizes the nanosecond they’re vulnerable because she thinks in some way he’s always vulnerable. he has no openings to them at first, treating them as Mission. as he becomes less sure of himself around them, she becomes more sure of his place. she falls in love with him easily, but not simply.
tengen falls in love with him the moment he takes off his haori. it’s not due to him hating the thing or thinking it’s ugly- but a deeper understanding of it’s meaning and symbolism. giyuu told him where it came from after he asked.
he talks about tsutako and sabito, how they shaped him. how their loss shaped him. how he keeps their memory both locked away and painted on his skin; that they’re his in a deep, sorrowful way.
giyuu takes off the haori, and lets uzui hold it. it speaks of a monumental trust that uzui has never seen from him before: giyuu is very possessive of material gifts or things that hold sentimental value. he’s worn makios gloves and pin every day for months, only letting her touch them.
it sparks a need to keep giyuu with them. something tengen has felt building over months finally ignites, adding to the pyre he considers his love towards his wives. he wants giyuu to trust him. he wants giyuu to keep him- not in the way he keeps tsutako and sabito, but in the way he rereads the book makio gave him over and over again. the way he sits with hina in the orchard- the way he sleeps on the engawa outside of their room even though he has his own. the way he and suma speak, fast vs slow, still somehow steady.
Something that also makes this really interesting is that before becoming demon slayers the uzui pack believed that the mission was more valuable than their own lives. Uzui makes it his mission to make sure his wives value their lives and live w/o guilt. How would they react when they see a reflection of their past selves in Giyuu?
when they get down to all of the nitty-gritty layers of giyuu, they react generally with grief and then determination. they refuse to let him carry it all- from what they know about his family and former friends they would be glad of him healing.
giyuu values the mission heavily. he puts emphasis on not being the true water pillar: believing that he’s just a placeholder until someone competent comes along. but there is one catch: he refuses to die before someone worthy takes his place.
the uzui fam see this as his final stand against his overwhelming survivors guilt, grief, and other personal issues. they’d be right, of course, but it doesn’t mean it’s not frustrating. getting giyuu to see the value of his life without its value coming from others is very hard

im not sure if this blog is abandoned d or not but I figured I might as well try lol
anyway, can i get your hcs for the nesting season au and the round up to five au??? pls and thankyou w a🍒 on top
ANON IM IN LOVE WITH YOU!!! this blog isn't abandoned, and it wont be bc giyuu is my special interest (literally just. giyuu. its kind of embarrassing lol) an I love writing. I'm just a fairly busy person and recently lost the entire outline for Of Many Colors, so I've been writing way less.
ANYWAY! of course you can have some headcanons, lovely!!
CW; mentions of canonical character death, some violence/injury, and minor warning for passive dismissal of ones own life
Nesting Season AU-
Giyuu is a very mellow omega, whose instincts have been mostly suppressed (something called Nulling, which can happen to anyone of any dynamic if their body shuts down for survival) so he hasn't really nested or pack bonded with anyone
he was raised by tsutako -who was also an omega- and secretly thought of her more as a mother. he was often very hurt by her joking about him being a "practice pup". as an adult he feels guilt over 'forcing' her to pretend to be his parent.
giyuu's instincts aren't fully awakened during the kamado's trial, but it's a close shot. he ends up furnishing two rooms in the water estate for the siblings but doesn't tell anyone due to a mix of confusion, shame, and defensiveness.
tsutako died when he was twelve and he stayed with his great aunt for five months before being sent away. the hunter that found him after he ran away was a friend of urokodaki's previous student, and thought that giyuu would be a good fit there.
giyuu's nesting instincts are fully kickstarted on a mission with muichirou.
basically, they're both heavily injured during a joint mission taking place in a blizzard. mui was impaled and cant move without taking a ton of damage, and giyuu can't run due to having a dislocated hip and multiple bones in his ankles/foot broken. giyuu finds a hollowed tree to hide in- to keep the blizzard out he must build a wall of snow in the entrance. they and mui's crow are stuck there for roughly five-ish days: in that time giyuu and mui fully imprint on each other.
after that, giyuu is much more prone to aggressively taking in children- even if he's super fucking awkward about it. it doesnt help that tanjiro keeps dragging people in to visit giyuu and his newly claimed son.
the kids aren't all fully presented, only genya, aoi, and zenitsu have started the process. the alpha children are nezuko, zenitsu, kiyo & naho of the butterfly girls, mui, and senjuro. the beta children are tanjiro, inosuke, and sumi. the omega children are aoi and genya
giyuu and sabito were courting each other for a long time, as in this au they went into final selection when they were sixteen instead of thirteen. sabito’s death is what nulled giyuu; and also vaguely impeded his development as an omega. if he had lived, they would’ve become the water pillars together and bonded.
Round Up To Five AU-
this au is overall lighthearted and tends to reflect that in the writing. the dynamic between uzui+his wives and giyuu is essentially “varying levels (all intense in their own way) of outward love and enthusiasm vs. very black and white autistic thinker who often forgets other people have Big Emotions too”
giyuu likes uzui, even if he’s jealous of his freedom and self-surety. the girls are kind to him when he’s blunt or doesn’t respond. he enjoys being around them all- very simply put he basks in their presences. they’re all too good for him, but they never push him away. he finds he doesn't feel too guilty about staying around them either.
meanwhile the Married Crew are actively including him in a bunch of their activities. they invite him to dinner, to celebrations and missions, and even just to spend time with each of them individually.
uzui gave giyuu his “ranking” of importance towards others lives, with his wives being the highest, giyuu being lumped in with citizens at second, then uzui last. giyuu misunderstands as he is the bottom, bc uzui didn’t specify. he of course delegates to who he believes is an actual hashira and gives his fuck-all to ensuring that the instructions uzui gave him are followed.
giyuu is a little dumb, but hell if uzui doesn’t admire a man who defends the lives of his beloveds with everything he has. unfortunately he’s also very frustrated with giyuu’s lack of care to his own life. him and his wives (who are suitably impressed with/curious about him) resolve to figure him out.
they end up falling in love with the crazy little fuck, of course, and shortly begin trying to invite him into their marriage.
giyuu is... kind of sure that they keep making passes at him, but none of them have actually asked him and he’ll be damned if he brings it up. if no one explicitly states that they want to marry/Romance him, he’ll just... not say anything. (if they actually asked he’d say yes at this point in the au. it’s been a few months and lots of development happens in their relationships)
the other hashira are either bewildered, amused, distinctly Unamused, or apathetic towards the shenanigans.
PS- sorry if these aren’t what you were looking for! i didn’t know what kind of headcanons you wanted so i just... went for it el oh el

whats nesting season?? you mentioned jt in the intro post for the omegaverse au but i dont think its like,, an established thing?
HELLO YOURE MY FIRST ASK I LOVE YOU ANON HELLO!!
but to answer you question i structure my omegaverse kind of differently than just regular old dynamics. people know their dynamic from birth, and presenting is like a more intense secondary puberty, layered over the primary version. nesting season happens when an omega (who is completely finished both their primary and secondary puberty) triggers their parental/nurturing instincts.
they usually happen during transition seasons (spring or fall) and line up with rutting seasons, which is when stray alphas enter their ruts, since they’re unsynced with packmates or bonds.
their purpose is to encourage omegas to guard their pups, which does include younger packmates. even pups who don’t belong to the omega in question will be taken care of. omegas can be extremely violent, ruthless, and in some cases are prone to becoming feral.
not all omegas have strong instincts, and many can control them; so during nesting season they are just a bit more defensive instead of full on Nesting (a term referring to an omega who has a dedicated nest/den to keep their pups in, which they will tend to all day for weeks on end).
unfortunately for Giyuu, he has no experience dealing with these instincts because no one has ever triggered them before. during the hashira trial they’re awakened violently-and suddenly. since he has no experience controlling these instincts, he immediately gives in and begins Nesting, full force!

Okay, More In-Depth Introduction
This blog is a Giyuu Tomioka-centric blog focused on content where he is appreciated, loved, or otherwise adored. I will write both SFW and NSFW fic, which will be marked appropriately. I have no real limits with my content. I will write canon typical violence and there will be elements of body horror in my work that I might not notice I’m putting in. I will always put warnings before my writing and I encourage you to read them. Take them seriously, please, I am not shy about writing things that could potentially be disturbing. You can ask me for any of the following romantic ships and I will write for them:
Giyuu x any of the adult hashira (note: with Uzui I will always include his wives, even if they are not actually present. They’re a package deal, babes)
Giyuu x kagaya & amane
Giyuu x any adult demon
Giyuu x haganezuka (Tanjiro’s swordsmith)
Basically any Giyuu x adult ship I’ll write for! I will also write for Giyuu x Sabito, but no sexual stuff unless it’s an au where Sabito lived. Even then I won’t really focus on it.
I will not create any Giyuu x minor content. I’m open to them having, like, puppy crushes on him but nothing past admiration or a strong familial tie.
I fucking love cross-overs because I think they’re hilarious and if you ask me for a crossover ship (with a character I’m familiar with) I would be so down for that. Oh, but I don’t write x reader fic. Sorry.
I’m down to hear any thought about Giyuu you have, ever! Even if you think they’re weird, gross, or nasty. I want them all <3
So now you know the basics and the shipping aspects of this blog, let me tell you about a few of the au’s I have to get us going! Every post related to an au will have the au name tagged, for ease of access.
Round Up To Five AU - in this au Uzui and Giyuu are sent on a mission near the coast, and Uzui takes his wives along to help. During the mission, Uzui notices that his wives work very well with Giyuu, basically folding him into their dynamic immediately. They end up fighting multiple demons, and due to actions during the battle, Uzui’s opinion of Giyuu turns... very positive. Five is better than four, isn’t it? He and his wives definitely think so. Shenanigans ensue, of course.
Nesting Season AU - an omegaverse au where during something called nesting season, omega!Giyuu aggressively attempts to mother multiple children that do not belong to him. Every child he comes across during nesting season is free rein in his eyes. The butterfly girls (including the triplets, Aoi and Kanao), the entire Kamaboko Squad, the wayward Shinazugawa boy, Muichirou and somehow Senjuro Rengoku are all his now, thank you very much. The sudden instincts do not go unnoticed by the hashira- many of which are enthralled by Giyuu’s often violent defense of his pseudo-pups.
Personal Space AU - Mitsuri notices that the often solitary water pillar is just... like, desperately touch starved. He avoids being touched, but when he can’t avoid it he leans into it so hard it literally knocks him over. She resolves to fix this, to the annoyance of Obanai (who she somehow manages to enlist) and the great confusion/alarm of Giyuu.
Of Many Colours AU - Giyuu came from a family who made their living by making fine clothing and then dying them in the most beautiful colours imaginable. When his parents passed away, his sister decided to keep running the business- just on a smaller scale. He was put in charge of taking care of the dyes on a daily basis and learned how to make some of the most gorgeous colours you could ever picture. After his sister was killed he was forced out of his passion, but as an adult and high level demon slayer, he has access to more material than ever- so he reinstates the Tomioka family business. In the process, he accidentally begins to heal.
Talk to me about these aus! Ask questions, give suggestions, submit headcanons or request oneshots/little blurbs that have nothing to do with these aus! I love it all and am really fucking excited  to work with all of you!!!

A Quick Introduction
Hello! I write demon slayer aus and oneshots based mostly on Giyuu Tomioka. I’m a multishipper who believes that Giyuu should get all the love possible, even across fandoms. I have a lot of headcanons for the characters, but they’re fairly flexible! I will not, however, headcanon harmful or negative things. I’m open to requests, and eagerly await your ideas! Also, there will be multiple aus I write at once, so they’ll be organized with specific tags. I’m excited to write and talk with you!
