HALF LIGHT: If you stay very still, he won’t know you’re here. PERCEPTION: The radio plays, soft and low. SHIVERS: The man shifts and looks at the closed door. He can hear something faint - the radio, maybe. No sign of movement. LOGIC: Maybe he’s gone out, Kim thinks, and half-turns to look behind him at the street, as if he might see you there. COMPOSURE: He can’t see us like this. He’ll be so disappointed…

Good Omens fic recs #80

Quiet Reflection by @shinyopals - A/C, 4800 words.  This leans into both the romance and the comedy that we get from Good Omens.  When Crowley senses another demon after Armageddidn't and drags Aziraphale into a church to avoid them, the two of them end up raiding the priest's office and talking about feelings.  Features a very lovely bridal carry and also Crowley knocking stuff off a desk for fun in a very cat-like manner.

Pulling Your Leg (Pulling Your Heartstrings) by Love_Letter, nimbosa - A/C, 5300 words. - This is a very fun Through the Ages fic telling the stories of pranks that Crowley and Aziraphale have played on each other, all the way from the beginning of their time on Earth through their happy married retirement in the Downs.  It's super sweet and definitely made me smile.

Outside of Angelic Jurisdiction by Sodium_Azide - A/C, Anathema/Newt, 900 words.  An extremely fun little future fic in which Anathema and Aziraphale make a bet and the angel is not going to lose.

The Non-Confession by GaiasEyes - A/C, 2400 words.  In 1941, after kissing Crowley, Aziraphale reflects and tries to repent.  This is a gorgeous little piece of introspection with a great ending, angsty but not unbearably so, and wonderfully honest.

The Mug by softestpunk/ @softest-punk - A/C, 800 words.  A sweet little bit of domestic fluff in which nothing too much happens.  Aziraphale gets Crowley a mug for the bookshop.

The hardest ones for me: I don't like enemies to lovers OR childhood friends to lovers lol. And I love both get together and established relationship. I adore soulmates which is a fun contrast from prev. Hurt/comfort or crack is a hard choice but sometimes I can't get through the hurt to enjoy the comfort, and I always enjoy a laugh.

No More Zero Comments Project

Hi! Here's a big masterpost for everything you need to know about this project!

The No More Zero Comments (NM0C) Project is dedicated to reducing the number of fics on AO3 with no comments. This is a multifandom community effort with very few rules which you can very easily undertake alone, but hey, why not join us?

The goal is simple: find fics with no comments, read them and leave the author a comment. If you want, you can go out and find fics on your own, but we also have a handy spreadsheet full of fics for you to browse!

You can find the spreadsheet here. There are tonnes of different fandoms to choose from. It will be updated regularly with new fics, so check back as often as you like.

Do you have a fic with zero comments? You can submit it here to be added to the spreadsheet. There is no limit to how many you can submit, and no limits on what you can submit. Any fandom, any category, any rating, no matter how old it is. Yes, even explicit fics. We aren't picky around here. You can also submit other people's fics if you wish.

All I ask is, if you submit your own fics, try and comment on some too! Balance, equality, etc.

The only real rule for submissions is no AI. This blog is vehemently anti-AI and will not accept any fics that use it. EDIT 16/06/26: There are now two more rules - no Harry Potter fics (fuck jkr) and no fics less than a week old.

If you read a fic from the spreadsheet, please let me know here so I can remove the fic from the spreadsheet. If you see a fic on the spreadsheet that has a comment, don't fret. I'll get around to removing it soon. Admin's timezone is GMT and I'm most active in the evenings.

Who runs this blog?

That'd be me, Izak, better known as @lightningzombie! I run this blog alone for now. And yes, I did put my own fics into the spreadsheet. I put it up to a vote and people said I could!

Why did you decide to do this?

Frustration with the lack of comments on my fics and the death of comment culture in general. Bewilderment when I saw a fic that had 1200 kudos and no comments. The joy that leaving 100 comments and receiving 20+ during the Febuwhump commentfest brought me. Boredom. Many reasons!

Is there a prize/competition?

Nope! No incentives whatsoever. Just the joy of fan fiction, of commenting, and community spirit.

Will you do events?

Yes, I plan to! I'm not sure what yet, though.

"I don't know how to comment!"

Yes, you do. "I like this" is a comment. "How dare you do that to [insert blorbo here]" is a comment. "<3" is a comment. "KAJSDAKSDHJ WHYYYYY????" is a comment. "I am rapidly approaching your location" is a comment. Just be kind!

How long will it take me to get a comment?

Dunno. Some people get them within minutes, some hours, some days. Depends on many things. Be patient!

I submitted something but it hasn't been added or removed

I run this blog and the spreadsheet completely alone and manually. Any submissions will be handled as and when i have time. Be patient with me, I'll get to it!

A piece I did for 2025 Murderbot Diaries New Year Gift Exchange (@mbd-gift-exchange) for @kungsljus. They requested holiday convention stuff inspired by the celebration in Network Effect (but with Murderbot having a good time) or Murderbot enjoying nature with anyone out of its friend client group. So here it is, celebrating and being involved in its own way.

On the eve of his return to public life in 1894, Sherlock Holmes happens into a dusty bookshop.

He's just assembling a disguise. He couldn't have much in common with this stuffy little bookseller, could he?

The bell rang as I entered, startling the proprietor from his bespectacled focus on that morning’s Telegraph. A middle-aged man, still living in the era of his youth, I inferred from attire some decades out of date; of irregular habits, if one trusted the opening hours posted behind the glass of the door; likely of independent means, given the absence of customers and the dust settled undisturbed over nearly everything. I expected no less; Britain offers up many such examples, scions of well-do-do families who can afford to practise a hobby under the guise of an occupation.

I did not expect his startled, almost joyful look, nor the cry of “My dear fellow! Is it truly –” quickly interrupted as he snatched away his half-moon reading-glasses and rose from his desk. His manner became instantly more guarded. “Oh – my pardon, I mistook you for someone else, I fear. May I be of help?”
