Ed and Jonathan will certainly not give you permission. You'd be lucky to approach them so casually and walk away unscathed.

Jervis is the only beast you could approach safely and would be fine to touch. This does not mean he is harmless. Think of it like approaching a horse; you should still be cautious when approaching. If he's spooked, he could seriously injure you and even kill you. Do not touch him if he is not aware you are there.

I need to animate more. So expect more silly ones like this. It helps me learn ToonBoom, and I should make animation more of a habit anyway. Since, y'know, I'm in school for animation.

Anyway, I am forever amused by how Jonathan acts in and out of costume. He's just a silly guy.

May I please see more of scarebeast Ed? He looks very silly. How does Jonathan, or the other rogues, deal with him?

I will take this as an opportunity to update his design. I threw together his and Jervis's beast designs because I didn't think I would be drawing them that much, and I didn't really have any ideas for them story-wise (in terms of an alt timeline). The more I've drawn him, the more I felt like he wasn't really a 'beast'; he felt a little too much like a normal animal. I'm more satisfied with this. He matches the other two more. He's also a bit bigger.

Jonathan is pretty much the only rogue to deal with him besides Penguin. If Jonathan thought Ed was a handful before, he's maybe triple that as a beast. He's even more clingy somehow, on top of that, Jo wouldn't really know how to care for him. He'd be so scared of not providing for him properly. He couldn't tell what food Ed could and could not eat, how much he should feed him, just any of his needs. He'd try very hard to keep Ed healthy and comfortable in this state, and is even willing to work with Batman to cure his best friend.

I don't think any other rogue would even see Riddlebeast since Ed only wants to be around Jonathan. Of course, Penguin is the reason Ed is like that, and he would not treat him very well. He'd see Ed as a tool, not even a useful pet. I imagine Penguin would do this to get to Scarecrow; that's the real prize. Unfortunately for Oz, Ed is still very good at worming out of things.

When was the first time Eddie hugged Jon?

The first time they hug is important to their relationship, so I won't spoil it. So for now, I just offer you them hugging normally. Ed is very happy when Jo feels comfortable enough to initiate physical affection first. They enjoy hugging very much. Jo will also just pick up Ed randomly and take him wherever. Like a stuffed toy.

He can't really see; his eyes still don't see clearly, even as a beast. So he'll just eat the chips and ignore you. Since you are a weasel, he'd have no reason to pay attention to you. Which is a good thing. A strange person coming up to him would scare him, and he'd become defensive. Likely resulting in said person getting invenomated. So you are welcome to observe him, he won't attack you.

Do you think Jonathan would be a big fan of goats? Considering the fact that despite goats being weird and silly little guys they still invoke some fear into people due to goats being a representation of The Devil

Jonathan loves animals and has an especially big soft spot for any animals that people tend to find creepy or scary. As an expert in fear, he could understand why some people find certain animals scary, but what he couldn't wrap his head around is when people think an animal is evil. As he grew up religious, he'd find that type of thinking ridiculous. The Bible states that all animals are creations of God, so he'd be baffled that anyone who was also religious would think any animal comes from the devil or is just inherently evil. If they weren't religious and still found an animal "evil", he'd still find it ridiculous from a scientific perspective. Animals have no concept of morals and should not be held to human standards of good and evil. If anyone expressed this around him, they would be getting an earful. Those types of people are the reason he's the Scarecrow.

I'm back hello

Hi, I'm on summer break now. Classes took up all of my time and energy, like I feared they would. I'm happy to get back to blog stuff! I'm just not sure how things are going to look going forward. I'm dealing with something very stressful, unfortunately. It is likely to affect my art in general, so I hope the blog can continue being my destressor and escape. I want to be more active and consistent, but it's probably going to be less than I'd like for now. I'll see what I can handle. Regardless, I missed this place, and I'm determined to have fun!

I feel that without our own Jervis with them, they'd be confused and a bit concerned meeting another Jervis, although that might change, depending on if they saw him as a threat or not,

I see most Jervises getting along well, unless their alignment was like, polar opposites of sweet to unwell. But your Jervis looks fine, so I can see them talking about their shared interests. Your Jervis also looked really short, so I can't help but imagine him being carried around by our Jervis,
