Getting really annoyed at the amount of people giving it "why are you watching Superbowl when you don't watch American football?" "Why are you watching American football when you're not American?" UGH. SHUT UP. People get excited about sporting events - deal with it. It happens during the Olympics, it happens during the tennis grand slams, it happens during the World Cup, during the Champions League, during the Six Nations, during the Tour de France. Plenty or neutral/unsporting people watch these events with excitement and don't face the same backlash. Why do people have so much hate!? "You don't even watch tennis, so why are you watching Wimbledon?" "You don't even like football, why are you watching the World Cup?" "You're not from Africa, why are you watching the African Cup of Nations?" JEEZ. Chill hombres. Some people just enjoy sport and sporting events. They tend to be events that bring people together, which in my book is a good thing. Normally they become an excuse for a drink and a pizza/pig out session, which I'm also a huge advocator of. I only started "watching" American football about 3 years ago. Just before I went to Spain in fact. I say watching in inverted commas, because I don't watch it religiously or voice my support for it throughout the year. I start out watching it at the beginning of the season, then become far more interested in getting a proper nights sleep. I still keep up to date with it online, which is more suitable for a lot of people on this side of the Atlantic. Doesn't mean they can't watch it once a year and make a big deal out of it. People are doing no harm by watching it, so why is everyone so concerned all of a sudden?! People need to chill out.

“We are the girls with anxiety disorders, filled appointment books, five-year plans. We take ourselves very, very seriously. We are the peacemakers, the do-gooders, the givers, the savers. We are on time, overly prepared, well read, and witty, intellectually curious, always moving… We pride ourselves on getting as little sleep as possible and thrive on self-deprivation. We drink coffee, a lot of it. We are on birth control, Prozac, and multivitamins We are relentless, judgmental with ourselves, and forgiving to others. We never want to be as passive-aggressive as our mothers, never want to marry men as uninspired as our fathers… We are the daughters of the feminists who said, “You can be anything,” and we heard, “You have to be everything.””

I don't believe in superstition much, but today I plan on wearing the exact same outfit I wore to the Barcelona match at Parkhead last month. I am holding out for the same score and the same, if not better, atmosphere as we've got all to play for tonight. Come on you bhoys in green!
