Let’s be honest, you always hear people say girls shouldn't lift heavy because it will make them bulky but will it really? Do women even respond the same way a male does when it comes to training? Do men and women even recover the same? Does either sex have the upper hand on certain key points in the iron game? Watch the video to find out!

"Many people want to know the exact amount of rest they need between sets. Unfortunately, there is no one-size-fits-all for rest periods. Your rest periods need to fit the goals of your workout. Typically, if you’re training for strength or doing compound movements for hypertrophy, you’ll want to rest a little longer so you can optimize each set. However, isolation movements and machine movements will typically require a little less rest time, but this can be dependent on a few factors and certainly isn’t a rule. I think the best rule of thumb for rest periods is your own judgment – how long should you rest? Until you feel ready to go again." -- Dr. Jacob Wilson The Muscle PhD
