Emo/Scene Clothing Brands Other Than Hot Topic!

Hey Emo Kids, Scene Queens, and Sk8tr Boiz! 2007 called and they want their clothes back! No, actually the opposite- they want to sell you their awesome products! And I’m telling you, a lot of this stuff looks way cooler than what Hot Topic sells these days. It’s time to throw a little variety in style back into the scene! Here are some clothing brands other than Hot Topic you should totally check OUT!

IRON FIST

Iron fist is a company that specializes in graphic designed shirts for both men and women, usually grotesque or gorishin nature with bright colors. Their designs are similar to those of late 2000s and early 2010s metalcore band tees. I myself own an Iron Fist shirt with a more subtle ribcage design on it compared to their normal material. You want something flashy? Go Iron Fist.

AKUMU INK

Akumu Ink has shirt designs that have the appeal to those emo and scene kids who had cute/spooky artwork as glitter graphics on their MySpace profile. The artwork is very reminiscent to the early to mid 2000s alternative art trend, with gothic/punk imagery mixed in with a little chibi influence. It bears a lot of stitches, roses, hears and skulls-classic styles for the time period. Definitely one of my favorites on this list for sure. It will help you really rock the mid 2000s emo look.

ROCKETT (DEFUNCT)

Rockett was a clothing brand that closed it’s doors years ago. But if you’re lucky enough you might be able to snatch a hand me down of this shirt on eBay or etsy! They’re well known for having shirts with this logo on it, or metal merch designs. You can also find them for a fair price on indiemerch!

AFFLICTION

This is a clothing brand that is sold at your local Wal-Mart! It isn’t hard to find one of these shirts for under the price for $20. Affliction sold heavy designed graphic tees for both men and women like this shirt for affordable prices! Nothing is more of a win to an emo than cool looking things at thrift prices! You can still find shirts online and in store.

BLEEDING STAR (DEFUNCT)

Bleeding Star clothing is a brand that is treated almost as an emo fossil. It’s stores have been shut down for many years but people still search after these shirts. All members of Black Veil Brides in the photo above are wearing Bleeding Star shirts. I myself own six bleeding star shirts thanks to my wonderful boyfriend! This brand is known for its graffiti-esque emo prints. These shirts had some hella killer designs. You just might get lucky and find them being sold as pre-owned online, they still are circulating the internet. Bleeding Star is my top favorite brand in the emo fashion scene.

CLANDISTINE INDUSTRIES (DEFUNCT)

If you guys recognize the logo on this brand, you will already know that this was Pete Wentz’s (of Fall Out Boy) former clothing brand! Most, if not all of his shirts had this logo on it, which is well known that Pete also has tattooed on himself. They’re super rare to find now a days but if you mange to get your hands on one- consider yourself the luckiest motherfucker alive.

CUPCAKE CULT

Cupcake Cult is a very scene clothing brand that takes your favorite pop culture characters and turns them into grotesque zombies in hyoer-neon colored imagery. You may have seen band tees with designs similar to this as well! This screams the years 2007-2009 on a shirt and great news is, these guys are still making new merch! Most of their clothing is for women, but back in the day, that didn’t stop your scene boiz from wearing it! Check them out!

I really love Creepypasta, it's been one of my biggest Hyperfixations since I've been a kid and one of my biggest comforts! I always thought that Laughing Jack would be a great caregiver, knowing how to play with kids. I decided it would be fun to come up with some headcanons!

I tried not looking at other Headcanon posts to not copy anyone, and anyone that knows my art blog knows I kinda have my own version of LJ.

☾ Jack is huge/tall! He can make you feel pretty small just by default

☾ He's big on cuddling! He loves wrapping his dangly arm around you, picking you up and swirling you around and throwing you a bit in the air! Of course not to dangerous heights.

☾ He will sneak you candies and sweets whenever you feel blue

☾ Jack will perform private circus shows for you and will even let you participate in them if you want!

☾ Speaking of: He will gush over you when showing interest in what he does, telling you every little thing he knows about being on a trapeze or swinging in the air!

☾ He's got high energy alright! He will be able to entertain you until you're all tuckered out

☾ As "Goodnight Stories" he will tell you about the times when he used to perform regularly in the under realm! Oh how he misses the spotlights and the cheering...

☾ Oh what? You'll cheer for him as much as the crowds of people used to do? Jack will pepper your face in little kisses and smooches!

☾ Will give you all sorts of nicknames! Sweetie, Darling, Sugar, Boo, Pumpkin, hun, lil clownling- So many more!

☾ He will call you a stinkbug if you're being cheeky though

☾ Will put you in timeout on his shoulders, he believes a chair in a corner is too cruel

☾ He's silly of course and the 'timeout' on his shoulders will quickly turn into a game of "Now where did I put my little clownling?? I can hear them giggling but they are nowhere to be seen!"

☾ You use modern technology like a phone?? He can't even grab that with his big ol' claws! What do these buttons even do? What do you need it for other than calling someone?? He doesn't get it.

☾ At least he can get the hang of a simple Telly [TV] and put a show on for you- Though he thinks he's way more fun than those silly cartoons!...

☾ ... He'll totally get sucked into a cartoon with you.

☾ He doesn't have a bed, he has a huge hammock for you two to lay down in! Kind of like a giant rocking crib! He can make it less swingy though if you're getting dizzy

☾ Lots of blankets and plushies inside of course, you'll never be cold or uncomfortable in there

☾ He tries to rule a 'strict bedtime'... but he's having too much fun with you. He'll grab a flashlight and tell you 'spooky' stories or play with the plushies with you!

☾ It'll be quite late when you two get to sleep most nights... but at least he always makes you a warm drink or bottle to help you drift off if you're having troubles!

☾ You'll never grow bored of him and he'll never grow bored of you ♡

☾ Sometimes Jack gets sad thinking about the possibility you'd forget about him... but then he gets reminded he has the best little clownling in the world!

Uses his body as a toy/jungle gym. He's so large and flexible. He can use his long arms to swing you around, lift u up in the air, etc. Gently of course!

He is very strong and loves to carry you around all the time and give you piggy back rides!

Will contort his body if you find it funny and not scary! He likes to relax in odd positions

Clown things! He's very playful, makes you balloon animals, puts face paint on you, juggles, etc.

Lets you help with his makeup! Black lipstick kisses <3

Loves to nuzzle you/your head, is very careful with his pointy nose!

Always has candy with him but makes sure you only eat a healthy amount and brush your teeth!

Cuts his nails often, wanting to keep them short for you but they grow back quickly
