Experiment with water: I wash the soap(or my hands) per print.

Started inking. This is where the bit of chipped soap shines in their roughness i guess
Some of the experimental prints
The stamps
Experimenting with water, the more soap I use the less defined the characters shows, the new iteration lighter than its previous, until the point of invisibility?

Hotel soap from a relative. Perhaps more people will have stashes of soap taken from hotels- from a thought that theyve paid for everything within the room. And then kept them unused.
Slightly curious and horrified at the thought that I might have to carve with these. Saving some for melting.

Soap from 2020 quarantine, carving into R Q and M
problem discovered: with older soap solids their structure is more brittle and dry, what i thought was flaky from the soap yesterday is seeming soft in front of this bar of soap.
Switched a way of cutting out letters before splitting the soap into chunks. Perhaps the letters are too closely packed, part of the letters tend to break off. When it does, I do surgery on a piece of soap with water. All the letters in this are chipped.
Among these are all the letters ive managed to make. The E, P and T are all chipped to the point of no return. Some of the letters will chip out during the first print.
Carving is not the only option though. Looking into casting and mold making equipment
Double boiler insert for soap remelt and remolding. Looking to incorporate and test with the mini bits of soap dusts, to make smaller alphabets. Perhaps the creation goal is a book of the stamps.

Found two soap bars from 2020 march’s quarantine.
The 2020 hotel is a sister hotel to the 2021 hotel, their soaps are from the same stock/factory. “EcoPure”?
Been asking familiar people around if they keep soap from hotels.

Soap from 2021 quarantine, carved into S and T
The material is very flaky and requires delicate/repeated cuts. Began cutting with a scalpel. Initial plans of cutting the soap up into three before shaping changed the moment the blade sunk into the solid. Transferred to cutting away bit by bit, doing so with a larger knife. The same knife that I used on fruits during quarantine(brought into hotel premises)

Prompt: “I want to see the printer placed outdoors, you’ll take your computer and type whatever and click print. Then take that print and stick it to the nearest tree”
Tree, meet tree.
