so i wore a pride flag pin to work the other day and the kids were all interested (obviously) (find me a classroom of preschoolers who are not obsessed with rainbows) (i'll wait) so they crowded around to see.

"aww!" they said, "it's a flag!!"

but the thing is: they're little. a lot of them don't really have a handle on all their mouth sounds yet.

such as, notably, that tricky tricky "L" sound.

Although I could use some practice saying professional phrases in diff languages, I thought I sucked at my job enough to get fired immediately w how harsh my manager was when I was overwhelmed learning a new system.

Ego definitely inflated after she told me I'll learn more tmr after my 5th day of training, and I was like "huh? this is my 2nd day", then she was shocked and said she was mistaken bc I learned so fast and did well. Hopefully, the language grammar comes to me as quick. 🥹🍀

Doing training for a new job right now that requires multilingual skills and all I can wish for is to get the hang of it soon, so I don't get fired. I swear I'm fluent in general, but not with phrases and greetings in the professional field.😭

I feel like I'm a good sponge with the info that's being thrown at me, but I'm so overwhelmed by being criticized for not knowing what to do efficiently when I obviously haven't had the luxury of working at the same place for 30 years.

Also, I really hope I manage to score 2 part time jobs bc this economy right now doesn't want to give me full time or a starting chance.

The problem with having a child with an attorney that has spoken to the child like an adult since birth is that she's 4 years old and she's negotiating the order in which we're going to complete tasks as a family to best suit her idea of an ideal day.

Had really old waffle bowls in the pantry. Took a bite and the staleness was so gross. Almost declared them in edible. Then, I got a lightbulb idea. What if toaster (oven)?

My mind melted as I saw the waffle turn flat as a pancake, so I took it out and folded it. Waffle shell/taco created! IT CRISPY
