Another amazing poster from our march. We know that there are over 200,000 victims in North Korean labour camps, we know that North Koreans are starving and tortured. It's time to do something about it.

"All in all it is a very horrifying story, the like of which I don’t think I’ve seen or read of since the Khmer Rouge [in Cambodia] and the Nazi atrocities during the second world war," the official said of North Korea’s prisons.

Kim Jong-Un’s succession as North Korea’s supreme leader after the death of his father, Kim Jong-Il, in December 2011 had little impact on the country’s dire human rights record.
Here's a link to a 2013 human rights report on North Korea's various human rights abuses, such as labour camps, the use of torture and executions, as well as famines and food shortages.

Our class came together on November 22 to march to pressure the 2013 Halifax International Security Forum to act against the grievous human rights abuses within North Korea.  "Today, the most prolific thinkers on international security, decision-makers, military experts and writers joined together in Halifax, Canada to open the fifth annual Halifax International Security Forum, one of the most significant forums in the world."
It's time for us to make significant changes for those who've had their voices taken from them. It's time for our "prolific thinkers" to do something.
