did you guys learn that trick to easily tell if things were divisible by 3 and 9

it's just where you add the number in the 10s place to the number in the ones place and if it's a multiple of 3 then it's divisible by 3, if it adds up to 9 it's divisible by 9 (51 -> 5+1=6 -> divisible by 3, 54 -> 5+4=9 -> divisible by 9)
