So I did not, in fact, work on my fics I really should’ve continued and instead I’ve been writing this fic that’s literally a Sonic and Metal Sonic body swap. Oopsie.

Anyway why do I already have the majority of this next chapter finished. I feel weird updating before the fic’s not the most recent in certain tags but I also hate sitting on chapters…

I miss Quotev groups like. So much. There’s nothing like it out there anymore, which sucks because it was so easy to roleplay a self-indulgent plotline. People I ran into were often really chill about canon X canon roleplays, and with the double up format, it was expected you’d get a plot catered to you and your partner would get a plot catered to them. I miss it really bad. It sucks getting into a new fandom without having it to use

I hateeee not knowing how to continue this at all! I hate feeling writing blocked and I hate not writing Epel the First when there’s so much of it I wanna write. There’s characters and twists and moments I’m so hyped for and my brain just says ‘no you can’t write this part’ like. Man.

The Ao3 curse hit (dw no one’s dead, no property damage, just a medical emergency in the family) which did trip me up from updating Epel the First. But I have no idea how to actually get the chapter I’m currently writing to go bc uh. I don’t. Actually know how Epel will ‘force the words out of Permelia’s mouth’ lol

Hello!!! I really like your posts and was wondering what you might think of an AU where Malleus gets a new retainer before Sebek graduates, and he only finds out through the Magic Mirror?

It’s an interesting idea, but I personally don’t like it if it’s as clean cut as it sounds. We know that Malleus insisted upon his retainers being Silver and Sebek, and Malleus himself cares very deeply for the two of them and has known them for a vast majority of their waking lives. Him getting a new retainer feels out of character to me because Malleus knows that Sebek is extremely dedicated to him and would be crushed to be abandoned, or to perceive abandonment. It’s very important to me that Malleus cares deeply and is not simply a callous and cruel villain.

How I could see it working while staying in-character is if the senate or similar pressured Malleus into having a new retainer. While I think Malleus would certainly inform Sebek, his letters and communications could be interrupted for an unsuspecting reason. Malleus would not be happy with any of this, of course.

I will add one more thing: I am not sure why Sebek would learn this from the Dark Mirror. The Dark Mirror is not a toy for students to play with, as Crowley would likely put it, and we know that his permission is necessary to use it to travel without punishment. I would want a good explanation for why Sebek learned this from it, because Sebek follows rules that are given, and so he would most likely not use the mirror to learn about what is going on back home.

That’s all I have. I’m sorry if I sounded at all harsh, I’m trying to simply point out things to keep in mind. I’m sure you have plenty of your own ideas that you just didn’t put in the ask, and that’s more than alright.

I’m thinking about trying to write a fic concept I abandoned ages ago (pre-Odile)

It’s a Riddle-centered story set after Something Bad Happens To Him at the end of the school year, and he’s staying on campus with the other Heartslabyul characters over Summer break. The thing is? Ace and Deuce became co-Housewardens just before the fic starts.

It’d be an eight or nine chapter long fic, with each dorm’s cast visiting in each chapter and a reveal of what the Something Bad is in one of them.

The Something Bad is meant to be traumatic but it won’t cross any of my lines (no character bastardizations and keeps a T rating at worst, with content warnings in a drop down on the chapter in question) but it would be heavy.

My only issues with writing it is that I’m still working on Epel the First and also I’ve been playing Infinity Nikki all the time lol
