"Il termine sul quale si vuole richiamare l’attenzione è “riscenziello”. Vocabolo molto utilizzato ai tempi dei nostri nonni che oggi pare stia precipitando nella spirale del disuso. Esso deriva da “descensus”, che significa caduta, discesa. La sua etimologia è quindi latina. Quando si parla di “riscenziello” si vuole fare rifermento alle convulsioni, probabilmente di natura epilettica, alle quali i bambini sono soggetti, spesso durante il sonno."

Termine adattissimo al comportamento di alcune persone, da alternare con "vuommichi".

Non facciamolo cadere in disuso! Adotta un riscenziello!

History Lesson:

From the late 70s to the late 90s, Italy imported a lot of anime during the late 70s and onward. Many of the shows imported would get a new opening theme song, usually as a result of airing on a channel owned by Mediaset.

They started doing that to sell albums of said openings without paying the original owners. Nevertheless, these opening themes were extremely popular with the Italian youth of yesteryear, what with the overbeat music and catchy lyrics. To this day, people still make new covers of these songs and all of the original singers also regularly do live shows at nerd convention.

Here we have the Italian opening (TV-size) for the 1960s anime, Golden Bat (黄金 バット,  Ōgon Batto) or as the character is know in Italy, Fantaman, sung by Douglas Meakin. (1981)

My wife's public image is that of a strong woman, but actually she's very sensitive, fragile and weak. She constantly has to face her difficult past, and she couldn't escape the reality of having to provide for her family. It's just that she needed to don a piece of armor called "toughness" over her heart.
