Heathers Animatics

Heathers was my favorite musical for quite a while and while it’s not at the very top of my list anymore, I amassed an extensive knowledge of animatics for the show. So. Masterlist. Here we go:

Our Love Is God by MissyAsylum: The symbolism in this piece blows me away every time. It’s the only animatic I’ve found for this song that captures the horror of it. Chilling.

Candy Store by szin: This is an amazingly polished, fluid animatic with a great artstyle. The way szin draws the Heathers is perfection.

I Am Damaged by HLKPro: Absolutely heartbreaking rendition of this song, animated perfectly to the beats.

Meant to be Yours by Anidoodles: Great artstyle, fantastic composition and a beautiful range of emotion for JD. The attention to detail really drives this one home.

Meant to be Yours by HLKPro: This version is done with some non-canon character designs, but the artstyle and emotion of this piece make it worth checking out.

Freeze Your Brain by MissyAsylum: Vivid, active rendition of this song. Really makes you hurt for JD (plus, the ending is…!!)

well.. first of all.. it’S WRONG.??

you’ve probably seen posts telling you that it’s okay not to have sex if you don’t want to, that you’re never obligated to perform sexual acts if you’re uncomfortable with it

and that’s great, I’ll repeat that a thousand times, but I would just like to add that you also don’t have to sext if you don’t want to. you don’t have to send nudes if you don’t want to. you don’t have to do anything sexual if you don’t feel like it or it makes you uncomfortable, even if it’s “just” digital. 

if somebody tells you they “need” it, they’re an asshole. you don’t owe anybody anything sexual, not even if they’re your partner. you don’t have to send them anything to make them like you or keep them interested, because someone who cares more about sex than about your comfort isn’t somebody you need in your life. sex is just a want, but consent is a need.

you don’t have to sext.

you don’t have to take nudes.

you don’t have to do anything to please somebody else if you don’t want to.

The more I read about Cassandra Clare pitching fits about Shadowhunters taking her often whiny and petty characters and making them strong and loyal and lovable, the more respect I have for authors like Rick Riordan who go out of their way to write complex, varied, fantastic characters and are always willing to listen to their fans. While CC makes Alec have no more real identity than his struggle with being gay for three whole books, Rick gives us fearless, free-spirited, stubborn, genderfluid Alex Fierro in book two and has Magnus (Chase) wildly crushing on him/her from the get go.
