Yes I think you ought to respect your elders but too many people mean that in the “treat your elders like they are perfect beings that can’t be questioned” way and not the “respect the perspective that age gives people and take care of the elderly with dignity” way

I decided to delete my previous post to replace it with this since its not getting through to people's heads; JK rowling is a transhphobe who hasn't been relevant since that series she wrote more than a decade ago. The actors that participated in the movie franchise from that series made it what it was and I stand by that. If you are defending her in any way, then you also share her views and that's fine, my opinion still stands.

This post also applies to critiques of him of other things aswell specifically in his own fandom. It doesn't mean you like him any less or that you're not a real fan, it means you are a person with opinions and values and expect better of him since he himself expresses his desire to do better. I'm tired of seeing the same fans attacked just because they don't bow down and worship everything he says and does and being titled as "not real fans".
PSA you can criticise Lewis for his involvement in the F1 movie and still acknowledge his achievements and admire him for everything he has done and keeps doing for marginalised communities in F1. There are nuances to life and tolerating ambiguity is part of the base of civilised human interaction. Shouting "hypocrite" says more about your lack of emotional intelligence than it does about his fans.

Many F1 content creators and blog owners really don't get the recognition that they deserve. They should be invited to more races and there should have been more of them present at the F1 movie premiere. I think that if influencers and celebrities can be invited as PR when many of them know nothing about the sport and probably don't watch it, then surely the same invitation can be extended to these creators that literally take time out of their own lives to commentate, create content and bring exposure to the sport.

I'm seeing a lot of reviews about the movie Materialists, some people loved it and some are very critical of it because I think they missed the point entirely.
Firstly I don't care what people tell you; in life money and "material" things are not as important as today's dating culture wants you to believe. People do approach dating nowadays as transactional, it's more about "what is this person going to do for me " as opposed to " how is this person going to make me feel". Yes it would be ideal to find a rich wealthy partner but eventually if that's the only thing that a relationship is based on , then it will fail many people have walked away from relationships or arrangements that would have had them set up for life but they did it because it was not fulfilling any of their other needs except the financial ones. So this "go for the rich guy even if you don't love him" narrative is actually in my opinion stupid.
Second, I understand people's gripe that the movie was supposedly marketed as a romantic comedy but I personally never watched any trailer that would have led me to believe that this movie would be funny in any way shape or form; so I don't actually understand this critique. If you watch any of the trailers of all of the romantic comedies people grew up with in the nineties and early two thousands, you will see elements of humor clearly in the trailer, there were none in any of the trailers for this movie.
I would say that this movie was successful in the sense that it did spark the debate of what it takes to make a relationship work and the director was actually right in the end ; we do approach people and dating as marking of boxes which in the end don't really matter as much as people think they do.

People still thinking that Diddy and Tory lanez are innocent and supporting them is further proof that men can pretty much get away with anything in life as long as they are powerful and popular. And what's even more disgusting is seeing women support them aswell.

On another note, Oscar's performance has really been top tier this season. He has really proven to be a competitor and if by some chance he ends up winning the championship this season I would be very happy for him.

Not surprised that Lewis would make comments about people speculating about his retirement. I'm wondering why these conversations have been happening around him when there are other drivers that nobody even mentions; drivers that have been on that grid for a long time and haven't won races. I wish people would understand that HE will be the one to say when he is leaving not anyone else. And let's be clear, this sport will take a major hit when he goes because you better believe there are fans and sponsors that will follow him out the door.
