"What the hell happened with Angel again?" Vox sat on the edge of his bed, clearly uninterested in Valentino's words as the taller demon was pacing back and forth, a cloud of pink smoke around him.
"Well, he's not in his room! I don't get it! The building is locked. Hell, you even see the cameras in the whole building! I bet he's off with some low life loser-"
"Calm down, Val." Vox attempted to keep his voice calm, but it was hard when Valentino was here bothering him, in the middle of the night on top of that. Truth be told, it made him wonder why Valentino was even looking for Angel at this time.
"How can I calm down when that damn whore is-"
"Calm down." Vox's voice was more firm as he grabbed Valentino's shoulders and forced him to stay still.
"I swear, when I get my hands on that bitch, I'll-"
"Val, I don't give a shit! That slut is your problem. Can you stop coming in here and bothering me in the middle of the night?!" Vox was starting to get irritated by the moth's presence. This day was stressful enough as it was.
"Well, I'm sorry that I interrupted you precious beauty sleep, Voxxy." Valentino said in his signature mocking tone and moved to sit down on the bed. Vox quickly grabbed his arm and prevented him from doing so.
"Want me to make up for the damage, my dear?" Valentino grinned, putting his arms around Vox, which just made the TV demon scoff.
"All I want right now is sleep, Val. So would you be kind enough and fuck off? You're responsible for him and you chose to get yourself involved with that cheap whore. Stop bitching to me about it, would you?!"
Valentino let out an annoyed groan "I just wanted to ask if you've seen him at any of the cameras!"
"Do you seriously think that I wouldn't tell you if I saw him?"
"Fine. Sorry, I trust you. Damn it, Angel Dust." with an annoyed expression, he walked out the door, leaving a small cloud of pink smoke behind.
Vox sighed in relief and sat down at the edge of the bed. He gently pulled the covers down and uncovered Angel's sleeping face.
The spider was so exhausted after work that he came to his bedroom and passed out the moment he laid down. And then Valentino decided to show up.
Vox gently ran his hand through Angel's hair and felt him lean into his touch. Then Angel opened his eyes and a weak smile appeared on his face "Who did you just call a cheap whore? I'm pretty damn expensive, you know?"
Vox smiled at his words and kissed his forehead.
Angel visibly relaxed at the gesture, but couldn't help himself being snarky "You just wanna soften me up, huh?"
"Angel, I don't need you to soften up. You're soft enough when you're seconds away from passing out again."
"Fine. I'll go back to sleep. Thank you for letting me pass out here."
All Vox did was nod as he watched the spider close his eyes and fall asleep again.

The loud music was drowning out the chatter of the demons around Vox as he sipped on his drink, observing everyone around.
Valentino was near him with Angel in his lap. His bottom two arms were holding the spider's legs, while the top pair was wrapped around his waist
Angel was being surprisingly cooperative. He had a smile on his face and his body was relaxed.
Normally, he would do his best to escape. Or if he was in the mood to pretend, his body language would be obviously tense.
Now, he was enjoying Valentino's touch leaning into the feeling.
The love potion that Val put into his drink earlier really did work wonders. Angel was completely calm and even into it as Valentino's hands traveled higher on his body.
It was clear that the spider wasn't himself. Watching this whole thing happen felt wrong to him. There was no doubt what Valentino would do to him once they were alone.
As Angel started to kiss Val's neck Vox stood up and walked over to the two of them, touching Angel's shoulder. As expected, the spider leaned into the touch and looked up at him with a grin.
"Aww, you want a piece of me too? Well, I can do both." Vox ignored the way Angel ran a hand down his chest and just ended up looking at Valentino.
"Can I borrow him for tonight? It'll be way more fun if he's this... enthusiastic." To sell the role, he ran a hand down one of Angel's arms. The spider ended up smiling and leaning into his touch, as expected.
"Anything for you, Voxxy. I'll let you have him for free." Valentino's tone was his typical seductive voice, which made Vox roll his eyes internally.
He wrapped an arm around Angel, pulling him into a standing position. The spider leaned against him, smiling "I'll be the most amazing you've ever had. I promise."
His bottom pair of his arms was around his waist, one of the top pair was on his shoulder and the other one gently ran a finger down the edge of his screen.
Vox quickly took his wrist and gently removed the hand from his screen.
"You don't want my hands on you? What a shame. You're so... touchable."
Vox ignored him and began walking the two of them out of the nightclub. This was going to be a long walk of Angel's flirting. But he had to remind himself that he was doing this for the spider's own good.
Just as he expected, it actually was a long walk. Vox was lucky that Angel could at least walk properly. It would be kinda funny if he carried the taller demon who was trying to climb all over him in the process.
He kept a stone face, even as he was annoyed by Angel's really graphic descriptions of what Vox could do to him.
He led the drugged demon into his bedroom and gently pushed him to sit down on the bed. Angel looked up at him with a mischevious smile "You like it when I look up at you?"
The only response Vox gave him was an eye roll. When he didn't get a response, Angel put his upper pair of arms on Vox's shoulders, pulling himself up while he got on his knees on the bed "You know... I'm yours for tonight. A present. Just for you."
The look Angel was giving him and the voice he used... damn, it would actually be hot if the spider was sober.
But a moment later, Angel ended up pressing his lips to Vox's. His lips were soft and his mouth was warm, but no. Not in a million years.
Vox pushed him back on the bed, fighting his urge to yell at him.
"Go to sleep, Angel."
Angel responded by rolling his eyes "What, you like it when the other's asleep?"
"Stop with the weird talk, okay? Just go to sleep or you'll feel like shit tomorrow."
"Fine, sir." Angel mocked and layed down on the bed. Vox threw one of the blankets over him and took a couple of steps towards the door.
"Can you at least stay with me?"
Vox sighed in irritation, but ended up nodding "Don't even think about trying to kiss me again, got it?"
Angel didn't respond and Vox ended up taking a pillow and a blanket, putting them on the floor next to the bed. Like this, he would be able to step in if there was anything wrong, but also be safe enough from Angel's drug induced advances.
Angel ended up waking up in the middle of the night, his mind still fuzzy. There were two things he knew. He was drugged the day before and now he was in an unfamiliar bedroom.
He quickly jumped up, making a beeline towards the door.
The noise ended up waking Vox up who got up from the floor, quickly grabbing the spider's arm.
He didn't want to keep Angel there as a prisoner, but it wouldn't be the best if he just let him walk around the building in the middle of the night while drugged and panicking.
His grip was tight enough to keep him in place as the spider struggled against him.
"Please, Vox. Let me go, I-" Angel pleaded and it honestly broke Vox's heart. He led him back towards the bed, gently pushing him down. The spider broke free, scooting back on the bed until he hit the wall.
"Angel, calm down." he did his best to keep the irritation out of his voice. Vox knew that he did not make the situation better by restraining him before, but there was no other way to stop him from running and potentially waking Valentino up.
Angel was hugging his knees with both pair of his arms, trying to put as much distance between the two of them as possible "Please don't-"
"Angel." Vox tried to get his attention to stop him from going into a round of begging that would make him feel even guiltier "You're just panicking. You're safe. It's okay."
The spider let out a sigh, his grip on his legs slightly loosening. He looked around, taking in his surroundings. His fight or flight seemed to calm down, at which Vox let out a sigh of relief.
"See? You're okay."
Angel nodded "I guess I did overreact a little."
"I wish I could disagree with you on that one." he paused for a few moments, looking Angel over "Go to sleep. I promise, you'll have the whole bed to yourself."
Angel pulled the blanket over himself, still nervously looking around, but he was definitely calmer than before.
Angel came to his senses a couple of hours later, imediatelly being shot with a headache. He let out a frustrated sigh and sat up.
He pulled the blanket off of himself, exemining his clothes. It was almost a habit for him every time he woke up.
The outfit from yesterday was still on him, but his head hurt from the drug, the embarrassment of what he did in the middle of the night not helping.
Looking to the side, Angel noticed a glass of water. He picked it up and drank most of the glass in a few gulps, not realizing how dried out he actually was.
He put the glass back down on the bedside, when the door opened and Vox entered.
Angel looked at him curiously, wondering what his intentions were at the moment.
"How do you feel?" Vox asked, looking through the spider's pained expression that he didn't have a strength to hide.
"I'm... fine." Angel said weakly and Vox crossed his arms in response, knowing it was complete bullshit. But he didn't comment.
"Want some painkillers?"
Angel shook his head "I'll go soon. Sorry for being a bother yesterday. And... sorry for kissing you."
Vox rolled his eyes "Yeah, the kiss was uncalled for. But don't worry about it. I'm glad you didn't end up having Val's hands and... other body parts all over you."
Angel let out a tired chuckle "Aww! You care about me!"
"Don't get ahead of yourself. Me not wanting you to get harmed is not the same as caring about you. Now lay down. You should rest." he kept up his serious tone.
Angel scoffed "Are you commanding me now?"
"I'm only giving you suggestions."
Angel layed down, pulling the blanket over himself and getting comfortable "It's not the first time I've been drugged. You don't need to act like a caring parent."
"Don't worry. I wasn't planning on it." Vox turned around towards the door "I'll let you rest."
"Wait. I was just kidding. You... can stay here. If you want to." he quickly sat up on the bed, looking at Vox.
"Seriously? You want to be comforted through your headache?" he looked at Angel with an unamused expression.
The latter ended up rolling his eyes.
"Oh, yes. Your friend's little plaything actually has desires. What a scandal." he spoke in an overdramatic tone.
"Fine, fine. I'll satisfy your stupid desires."
Angel smiled, clearly satisfied with the outcome. He layed back down, feeling the mattress move as Vox sat on the bed next to him.
The spider felt the familiar sense of nervousness, doubting if this was a good idea. This was Vox. He was asking him of all people to be with him through a headache.
"You're quiet a contradiction." Vox must've noticed Angel's nervousness and that made the spider slightly embarrassed.
The TV demon then slowly reached out towards Angel's arm, stopping just a few inches from touching it. He looked at Angel's face with a silent question in his eyes.
The spider's eyebrows raised slightly in surprise, but eventually he nodded.
Vox's hand traveled down his arm, soothing him. Vox then gently held his hand, lacing their fingers together.
"Thank you." Angel weakly held his hand back.
"It's nothing."
"You sure?" Angel slowly sat up, tilting his head to the side. The spider then pressed his lips to Vox's.
The TV demon didn't push him away this time and Angel even felt how he kissed him back, their lips gently moving against each other, giving him an odd sense of... safety.
A few seconds later, Angel pulled away with a smile from the kiss, leaning his head on Vox's shoulder "That has to go on the list of the dumbest things I've done."
Vox smiled as he gently squeezed Angel's hand "Most likely." he touched his shoulder and gently pushed him down on the bed again "Go to sleep, you pink idiot. I'll stay with you."
With that, he layed down next to Angel and kept holding his hand as the spider demon closed his eyes and eventually fell asleep.

It was evening at the studio and Angel was finally getting ready to leave. It took him a while to get changed, because today was... rough. He flinched in pain a bit as he walked.
At one of the tables, there was a phone. He walked up to it and looked at the Voxtech logo at the back of it. The employees were usually careful with their stuff, so it had to be someone else's. It didn't have a red case like Valentino's, so it was... Vox.
The spider let out a sigh as he looked at the phone and turned it around in his hands. On one hand, he would get some sick satisfaction knowing that Vox had lost his phone, but on the other hand, some poor employee would probably get accused of stealing it.
He really didn't want to do what he was about to do, but he should just get through it. Vox isn't that bad. All that was left was to hope that Valentino wouldn't be there with him.
He quietly made his way towards the TV demon's office. It was pretty late, but the Vees usually were here even at this time.
Angel took a deep breath and raised his hand, but suddenly there was... yelling at the other side of the door. It was definitely Valentino's voice. Angel flinched and stepped back.
This was not a good idea. The sound of glass breaking could be heard and that's what finally made Angel turn around.
No. He's not doing this. He'll sell the phone and get some cash, Vox has enough money to get a new one.
He was just about to take a step, when the door burst open and Valentino made his way out. Angel froze, but the moth was too enraged with whatever happened inside to notice him and just angrily stomped away, leaving a cloud of pink smoke behind him.
There was a pained groan heard from the inside.
"Damn it..." he heard Vox's voice from the inside as he was clearly in pain.
Angel cautiously took a step inside, walking through the bridge. The monitors were showing different parts of Pentagram city, but... the one TV monitor who was usually watching all of them was missing.
Vox was sitting on the ground, holding his screen, while small pieces of glass were scattered in front of him.
"Vox? I... uh... I brought your phone. You... left it at the studio." Angel tried to sound nonchalant, as if he didn't even notice that the powerful figure was sitting in front of him with a broken screen.
"Just put it somewhere." Vox's voice was a mixture of irritation and pain as he attempted to stand up, using only one hand, while the other one was holding his screen.
Angel put the phone on the desk behind Vox, being careful not to step on the pieces of glass. They were... parts of his body. It was weird and kind of scary.
"Is there... anything I can do to help?"
Vox let out a scoff and gestured under the desk where a bandage was layed.
Angel understood and grabbed the bandage, kneeling down in front of him. He carefully started to wrap the bandage around his TV shaped head. Vox ended up hissing in pain and Angel quickly spoke "Sorry, sorry. I'm trying to be careful."
He got gentler in wrapping him up, almost feeling... bad. He had no idea that Valentino hurt him too. And it truly sucked. He knew better than anyone.
"Does this... happen often?" He asked carefully, not really wanting to pry, but he was curious.
"Just shut up and do what I told you." Vox said, his voice full of irritation.
Angel got quiet as he kept bandaging him up. It was weird seeing Vox of all people like this. So damn broken. Literally.
He finished the bandaging and stood up, looking at him. The cracks on his screen started to slowly fuse together as he started to regenerate. It was a good sign, but Vox was still obviously in pain.
"So... uh... how do you feel? Does the bandage make it better?"
Vox nodded "Thank you."
"No need. It's not like I had a choice in the matter." Angel attempted a... pretty dark joke, but it got only an eye roll out of Vox.
"No one forced you to come here and ask if I needed help."
Angel stayed silent as he stood up, still observing him. He crossed both pairs of his arms "You know... I always thought the screen was like your hat or something. I didn't realize it was... a part of your body that you actually felt." He attempted another joke.
"I'm not in the mood for your bullshit, Angel." Vox snapped back and Angel let out a sigh.
"Fine then. I should... uh... can I go now?" he knew it was weird to ask Vox for permission, but he was still Valentino's best friend. Or possibly even boyfriend. He had to have some respect for him.
"Go to your room and go to sleep, Angel. I see how damn tired you are."
Angel was taken aback, not only by his words, but also the tone of his voice. Sure, he sounded irritated, but there was a hint of caring in his voice. The spider ended up stunned and all he could manage was a nod as he left.
Some moments replayed in his head. How Vox would flinch every time Valentino touched him. He shrugged it off as him being surprised, but now he knew. And it was a painful thought...

The outfit on Angel's body was tight and it didn't help his aching muscles. He'd been forced to perform all evening and it didn't help that Valentino decided to feel him up after the performance.
He sat on the luxurious couch in his room with a sigh leaving his lips. If he closed his eyes now, he would be out cold.
His phone dinged with a new messege and he opened it without further thinking. A messege from Valentino.
'Hey, baby. I'll come over to you in about 10 minutes. You need a little relaxation after the long day you had. Be ready for me and wear something nice.'
Angel felt the familiar pool of dread in his stomach. Valentino never wanted to give him any 'relaxation'. Even the fact that the moth was dumb enough to believe that he would fall for it was ridiculous and insulting.
He pulled his legs up to his chest, sitting on the couch. His upper pair of arms was wrapped around his legs, while the lower pair was touching the soft fabric of the couch.
What should he do now? It's not like he can just use the excuse that he's tired. Even when he really is tired. Heck, even being actually asleep isn't a good enough excuse for him. Neither can he just tell Valentino straight up to leave him alone. It didn't go so good last time...
He squeazed his eyes shut, trying not to think about it. He would have to put on that excited, flirty expression and pretend that he wanted everything.
A stupid idea came to his head. There was one person who got a kick out of Valentino not getting what he wanted.
He stood up and left his room. It was... stupid to say the least. But he had to try, even if Vox would tell him to piss off.
He got to the door and knocked on it.
"Come in." Vox's tired voice came from the inside. This was a bad idea.
Angel slowly entered, looking at Vox, who was sitting in front of the monitors. He didn't say anything, leaning against the wall.
The TV demon noticed the spider and approached him "What are you doing here?"
Angel wrapped all of his arms around himself. This was not a good idea "I... I just-" he sighed "It's stupid. I should go." He was about to leave, but a hand on his shoulder stopped him from moving.
"You took the time to come here while... looking like this." He looked at his clothes that were still his skimpy stage outfit "That makes me think you have a good reason for coming here."
Angel looked at the ground, avoiding his gaze "I don't wanna talk about it."
Vox sighed and nodded, looking Angel up and down.
The spider felt his gaze, the looks the TV demon gave him, making him hug himself tighter.
"You can't stay the night here."
Angel's gaze turned to him, but he didn't say anything, internally questioning his decision to come here in the first place.
"I can't believe I'm about to do this." Vox said the words more to himself than to Angel, but the spider could still hear them "Come with me."
Vox walked out the door, looking behind him at Angel expectantly.
Angel looked at the TV demon with uncertainty in his eyes. Anything was better than dealing with Valentino, but this was still Vox who was offering him help.
"Come on." Vox took his hand, making Angel freeze in surprise. He gently pulled Angel along and the spider didn't resist. He tried to look at his screen to see his expression and his intentions, but Vox's expression was unreadable as he led him along the hallways of the tower and towards the elevator.
The ride was silent, Angel nervously looking around the small space "Sooo... where are you taking me?"
"To my room. You can rest there for the night." His words were calm, but Angel's anxiety still shot up, making him stiffen.
"Wait-"
He was cut off by an almost irritated sigh from Vox "Calm down, would you?"
After swallowing nervously, Angel kept his mouth shut and followed Vox as the TV demon led him out of the elevator.
He looked around the hallway as he was led through the hallway into the luxurious living space of the Vees. He was here a lot when he visited Valentino's room. Now he just walked past it as the moth's best friend led him along.
Vox stopped and opened the door to his bedroom. Angel hesitantly walked inside, sitting on the edge of the bed.
"You can stay here all night. He shouldn't bother you here."
Angel managed a nod and he tilted his head to the side in confusion as he watched Vox start to turn around and leave the room.
"Where are you going?"
Vox rolled his eyes, his expression turning irritated "He's going to be pissy after not finding you. I have to be the one to calm him down. Obviously."
Angel was about to say something to stop him from going, but he was already out the door.
All he could do now was cover himself with the blanket and sink into the comfortable feeling of the bed.
Vox is really going to suffer because he decided to run away for a night. That was the thought he fell asleep with.
When he came to consciousness, it took him a few seconds to remember the events of last night. When he did, he imediatelly sat up, looking himself over. He still had the uncomfortable clothes from last night on. It was a miracle he even managed to fall asleep with them on.
Looking to the side, he noticed a piece of paper on the nightstand. He picked it up. It was a note with a rather messy handwriting.
'I came in to check on you last night and pulled the blanket higher on you. You deserve to know what's happening to you while you're asleep.
-Vox'
Angel swore he could feel his heart skip a beat as he read the note.

Vox was sitting in his office, looking at the various monitors with a bored expression on his screen. Nothing interesting has happened that day. That was great, because he didn't have to deal with Valentino's crap and he could go to his room soon and sleep peacefully.
His mind was almost absent from his body as he stared at the monitors.
A loud noise and heavy breathing interrupted his state.
It was no other than Angel Dust. He slid down against the wall hugging his knees. The spider most likely didn't even notice he was not in an empty room.
"Angel?" Vox spoke up, making Angel flinch and look up in panic.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to... I thought this room was empty, I-" the spider was obviously distressed, his hands were shaking as he was grabbing the door to leave.
"Calm down, will you?" He stood up, walking up to the panicked porn star, standing in front of him.
Angel nodded and took a couple of deep, shaky breaths. He wrapped all four of his arms around himself, averting his gaze from Vox.
"Now, what are you running away from?" His voice was calm.
"I think you know already."
Vox sighed "Of course it's him. Look, just-" just as he was about to tell Angel to leave, there was a knock on the door.
"Damn it. Come on." He grabbed Angel's arm and led him towards his desk "Hide here."
The spider listened and hid under the desk, hugging his knees close to his chest. The knock was even louder than before and Vox let out an annoyed groan.
"What?"
Valentino burst through the door with an irritated expression "Have you seen Angel Dust?"
"Why would I see Angel Dust, Val? I've been in here all day. Use your damn brain for once." He was already irritated by his behavior.
"I swear, I'm gonna kill that slut when I get my hands on him! Can you imagine that he had the audacity to-"
"Val, calm down." He stood up from his desk, walking up to the moth. He had to get him far away from Angel and possibly even far away from his hearing range. His arm was around him as he subtly started to push him towards the door.
"Just go to sleep or something. That damn spider will appear."
"I hope so! I will tear out his spine if he doesn't appear until morning, that little-"
"VAL!" Vox yelled, grabbing his shoulders "He will appear. Maybe he just went and hid himself with some kind of boyfriend or somethi-"
"BOYFRIEND?!"
"Friend." Vox quickly corrected himself, cursing himself for pissing Val off even more "He's probably with that one-eyed girl, whatever her name is, and is getting wasted. You'll have him back in the morning."
Vox kept his voice calming as he led the moth towards the door "Just go to sleep. He'll be back in the morning."
Valentino exited the room and Vox closed the door behing him, listening to his footsteps as he walked down the hallway.
When the sound of Valentino's footsteps disappeared, Vox walked back to the desk "Come out."
Angel crawled out from under the desk and stood up "You know... you could warn me next time you decide to squish me in a small space like this."
Vox scoffed "Alright, drama queen." he paused for a moment, then continued "What did you even do that pissed him off so much?"
"It's Val. Everything pisses him off." Angel rolled his eyes as he sat down into Vox's chair. The TV demon raised his eyebrows at the sight.
"Seriously?"
Angel shrugged "What? It's the only place I can sit."
"Suit yourself." Vox walked over to him, grabbing his arm and lifting him up from the chair with ease. As Angel was finally standing, he sat down himself.
"You could've just told me to get out of the chair." Angel rolled his eyes again, leaning against the desk. The spider looked around, his expression getting serious "You know... the reason Val was so mad is because he hit me and I kinda... hit him back. He was too surprised to hold me down anymore, so I ran away."
"Okay, that's pretty impressive." A small smile was present on his face.
"I didn't really think about it. It was just some... reflex, I guess." Angel sighed "Remind me why I'm talking about this with you."
He took a couple of steps away from the desk, looking at the exit "I should leave. Don't wanna be... invading your privacy longer."
"You shouldn't go. Val wants to find you and your room will be the place he'll look for you the most. Just stay here for about... 10 minutes. He should get bored by then."
Angel looked at the ground for a while, thinking about his offer, then nodded. He decided to sit on the floor, since there was no other place to sit "Thank you. For... you know. Not giving me to him like a present."
Vox shrugged off his words "Don't be flattered. It actually gives me a sense of... satisfaction when Val doesn't get what he wants."
Angel scoffed at his words, not saying anything further. He hugged his knees, staring at the other side of the large room.
Vox looked at the spider as the pink demon was enjoying the little bit of peace he finally had.
