I already said a bunch of times that one thing i appreciate about the joker in dark knight is that he is funny. He makes actual jokes that are actually funny, which i personally think is the staple of any good take of the joker.

But then it dawned on me what type of jokes he's making. He makes silly little comments, ironic little asides, commentary where he shows hes not taking this seriously.

When he is asked "you think you can steal our money and walk away!?" And he answers "uh, yeah"

When he is threatning maggie gyllenhall and batman says "let her go" abd he is like "very poor choice of words"

When he is about to unmask batman and gets a gun to his head and he says "can you just give me a second?"

In the interrogation, wjen he says things like "dont start with the head" and "even for a guy like me thats cold"

He is quipping. He is fucking marvel quipping. He is making stupid tension releasing jokes in completly innapropiate moments that demand more emotional gravitas. He is in a serious prestigious nolan movie and he is acting like a character from the MCU, before the mcu even existed

I thunk thats really funny in a meta way

Don't date thirty-year-olds until you are at least 25.
