Hey, here we go, another bottle from Shepherd Neame & Co.
Now, I like stuff like Spitfire, where you have a sweet taste and a bitter aftertaste, or Newcastle Brown Ale where its very slightly bitter and with a toffee aftertaste. But this, this is not for me.

This is very clearly designed for someone who loves the taste of black coffee, but wants to get drunk, not get woken up, like my pal GM. I think i was on a call with him when i tried this, and i was telling him how i could barely finish it, and when i described it he said he loved this kinda shit. How? Its beyond me, but he likes it, so more power to him, i guess. It may be an aquired taste or something. So far, i'm not into it.

The colour of it was black. Darker than cola. The description mentions a smell of chocolate, but i dont remember it smelling like that.

Robinsons Brewery have this collaboration with Iron Maiden, where they make beers with the bands name on it. And while its just one type of beer (A deep golden ale with a slight hint of lemon) its got multiple caps! To be more precise, the caps have all the covers of the Iron Maiden albums! Thats pretty fucking cool!
Now, am i a big Iron Maiden fan? Not really. Everything i heard from them slapped, but i never really took the time to go through their discography. Consider me the drunkard version of those white <<grunge>> girls wearing nirvana shirts but have never heard a song from them. But hey, i might start listening to them when i get some time. They're a pretty boomer band, right? They've gotta be good.
So far I've got the caps for the following albums:
Iron Maiden
Powerslave
No Prayer for the Dying
Tons to go.

Had some tonic water. I know its a mixer, but i love it on its own. I usually get the cheapest store brand tonic water, because its really all the same. Unlike coke, Lidl brand tonic water and schweppes really have no difference between them, apart from the price. But i found this box of 6 small bottles with these beautiful caps, and i knew i had to get em for the caps alone.
Design of them made me think how cool it would have been to have some more piratey stuff in Fallout 4. I know you had the pirate ship and Far Harbour, but imagine a whole pirate faction! They use gold, or rum corks or something, instead of caps, make it as influential as the Legion and the NCR in New Vegas. It doesnt have to happen at sea, we've already seen ships can fly! Make a pirate ship the size of the prydwin, make them have some crazy hand cannons, or electroflintlock weapons. Man, i love synths and stuff, but the story was so lazy.

Anyway, enough rambling. Here's the caps for the diet version. I forgot what the brand was though, sorry lads.

Had a few duplicate caps, so i tried my hand at making Nuka Cola caps, weathering and all. Not the best but it does the trick. Probably wont do more though, a lot of effort for too small of a thing.

The first cap in the stash. Peroni beer. Your average golden ale, nothing special. Pretty good overall

Lets talk about Newcastle Brown Ale, because this shit's great! Kinda sad i didnt get this kind of picture of it on its own. Its very tasty. Unlike Spitfire, this tastes like normal beer, but it has a toffee finish. Its really powerful when you have small sips of it.

On the back it had a star that's supposed to turn blue while cold, so i gave it a try. Didnt really work that well, but you can kinda see the difference. I think i should have put it in the frigde before opening it :(
Anyway, here's the up close of the bottlecap. Newcastle Brown Ale, really tasty, give it a try.

Oh man, this one, Virgil's Handcrafted Root Beer, was my first root beer. I really love the stupid Mug Root Beer meme on Vargskeletor's channel, but as i found out, root beer sucks! I really really didn't enjoy this. I forced myself to drink it, just so i dont feel as bad for spending money on this. Maybe its just Virgil's, but i think this is a bigger brand in america than it is here. Maybe the foam just went to my brain, i guess.
Anyway, it's an R from me. R for Root beer bad

Hey, here's a good one to start off with! Spitfire Amber Ale, from Shepherd Neame. The guys at Shepherd Neame make really good beers, and this is one of them. Its , as they say, an amber ale, a really nice shade of amber. Its got a sweet toffee taste which is delicious, and a bitter finish. But its a weird bitter, almost like the taste of aspirine. But, somehow, despite how disgusting that might sound, i really like it? I recognise this is not for most, but absolutely give it a try, if you get the chance.
Apparently Shepherd Neame is the oldest brewer in Britain, so that's an interesting fact.
Also, as you might have noticed, the bottlecap is the logo of the RAF. That's because its the official licensed beer of the RAF! It's really really nice, and makes for a great bottlecap.
