I've finished the background art for the opening shot of my film based on Hesiod's Theogony. The shot begins at the very top and slowly descends, giving the audience a glimpse of the entire wall.
The wall is covered in Ancient Greek mythological symbols and characters, including: Orpheus, Eros, Atlas, Thanatos, Irene, and Pan, as well as a bunch of the constellations named by Claudius Ptolemy. The very bottom of the shot then reveals the main focus, a marble bust of Hesiod himself.
Follow along with the progress of this film project if you’re interested.

Prometheus, Epimetheus, & Pandora Model Sheets
I’m finally finished with all the necessary character models and references for my Theogony short film in production.
Please follow along with this Theogony film project if you’re interested.
---
This is the official character model for my versions of Prometheus and Epimetheus, the Titans who created humanity. Their designs utilize a lot of warm and heavenly colors to represent their divine statues. Prometheus also stole fire for humanity, so another reason for the warm colors in his design.
It also portrays Prometheus sculpting an inanimate human out of clay, like in the myth.
---
This is the official character model for my version of Pandora, the demi-goddess who married Epimetheus and released all hardship onto the world. I used marble statues of mythological Pandora as a reference for my version, hence the swirly look of her hair. Her pithos is a part of her design and is modeled after typical Ancient Greek pithoi used at the time.
---
This is an extra character model sheet for my versions of Pandora and Epimetheus. They marry in the myth and are inseparable from one another. I drew a bunch of different positions and angles of them being flirty with each other. It’s pretty cute, actually.

Gods of Mount Othrys Model Sheets
I’m finally finished with all the necessary character models and references for my Theogony short film in production.
Please follow along with this Theogony film project if you’re interested.
---
This is the official character model for my version of Rhea, the goddess of maternity. Her entire design is directly based on Hellenistic depictions of Mariam (Mary), the mother of Yeshua (Jesus). I figured portraying the goddess of motherhood as such would be fitting. Her entire face is permanently fixed in a frowning expression to represent her grief from the loss of her children.
---
This is an extra character model sheet for my version of Kronos (or Saturn), the god of time, but portraying the various intimidating forms of his monstrous side. Kronos is the main villain of the Theogony, and I didn’t just want to have an intimidating, human-like design, but also have a variety of inhuman, demonic forms to threaten the protagonist, Zeus. When I actually get to animating him, it will be a lot of fun to play around with his distorted, creepy forms.
---
This is the official character model for three new characters I created for this film, not featured in the original myth. They’re the skeletal servants of Kronos named Ethos, Pathos, and Logos. They are always obnoxiously happy and try to keep Kronos pleased at all times. They’re designs are obviously based upon old rubber hose cartoons from the golden age of animation.

Gaia & Ouranos Model Sheets
I’m finally finished with all the necessary character models and references for my Theogony short film in production.
Please follow along with this Theogony film project if you’re interested.
---
This is the official character model for my version of Gaia, the goddess of Earth. Her pupils resemble petals, and her feet are like vines.
It also portrays Gaia being courted by her husband, Ouranos, like in the myth.
---
This is the official character model for my version of Ouranos (or Uranus), the god of the sky. His hair is made of clouds, and he floats in the air with his flowing toga.
It also portrays Ouranos being threatened by his son, Kronos, with his magical sickle, like in the myth.

If you're a fan of my comic, Mythical Galaxy, consider giving it more attention and notoriety via Webtoon.
I actually published it on Webtoon a while ago (literally right after I finished it); I just never advertised it via my Tumblr.
Thank you guys for being so supportive of my work. Mythical Galaxy has so much more planned for the future.
Read it via my website too: mythicalgalaxy.com

Theogony Animation Project Progress
I’m in the middle of production for my animated short film based on the Theogony and the actual animation process is a lot of work.
To show my progress, here is an unfinished animated scene I did with the main villain of the film, Kronos. I still need to color it, add more of his design details, and manually animate the swirling clouds.
For context, it’s depicting the part of the Theogony where Kronos realizes Zeus and Metis poisoned him.
This project has been a lot of fun so far. Be on the lookout for when I finally release it (which will most likely be a while).

Kronos & Zeus Model Sheets
I'm currently working on my most ambitious project yet, an animated short film directly retelling the Greek myth of Hesiod's Theogony.
As a little preview of what's to come, here are the official character model sheets for the main hero and villain of the Theogony: Kronos & Zeus
Kronos' color scheme is based on the planet Saturn (since the planet is named after Kronos' Roman equivalent, Saturnus), and the hourglasses in his design refer to the fact that he's the god of time (χρόνος).
The color scheme of Zeus' design is based on the sky and lightning.
Please feel free to follow along with this project as it progresses.

Comedy & Tragedy (Mythical Galaxy)
Official concept art for my comic, Mythical Galaxy, featuring the main characters, Cepheus and Draco, surrounded by Greek theatrical symbols and a group of happy satyrs.
Dionysus watches with a wine-filled goblet as Cepheus joyfully studies an electrified ball of energy in his hands. Draco couldn’t care less, though.

I made this animated GIF 2 years ago and never uploaded it to Tumblr. I figured there's no time like the present to showcase it here.
This is the description I wrote for it via Instagram:
"I spent some time at the Sitka Fine Arts Camp this summer and this is what I worked on the entire time. Hope ya think it's cool."

Sketches I Made Years Ago 3
Rather than having them sit in my Google Drive, collecting dust, I’ve decided to showcase a bunch of old pencil drawings I made from 2017 through 2019 (I was 13 through 15 years old).
I really enjoyed anthropology then (which I still do), though I was particularly fascinated with Mesoamerican, Egyptian, and Indian culture.
Here is a collection of what I think are the best drawings I made depicting deities and creatures directly from or inspired by Egyptian mythology.
