i know on ao3 it's all in verdana but when you're drafting the fic in word or docs or whatever

"calm" as in the emotion but also the word a bit if you want. options are assumed to cover their whole color range (e.g. dark green, lime green, and blueish green are all just "green" here). if "calm" for you is perfectly between 2 of these listed colors just pick one I guess

Also remember that these systems are at their most valuable when you're driving in the dark and cannot see well yourself.

Your camera will have limited vision as well, whereas a proper lidar system works like a sonar, so it doesn't need light to work.

That is why eg. Volvo, which is designed in Sweden and focuses on safety, uses lidar. If you're driving through the woods in the dark, the car will still be able to notice a deer on the road up to 250 meters ahead of you.

So while you're right that a loony tunes situation will likely not occur, it might just save your life (or someone else's) when you're driving at night.
