“Nuvoloso” one of a kind polymer clay unicorn. Based on an andalusian horse. Made January 2015 by Quequinox Art
My sculptures are made from polymer clay over a wire and foil armature, as seen here. I usually do 4 separate “bakes” of the clay, once for the body, once for the face, and once for each set of legs, only baking for about 20 minutes until the end when I bake for the full 45-60 minutes.
I paint them in acrylics, layering tiny strokes and blending everything by hand with a brush. The hair on these is usually some form of mohair. The eyes are inset and made from resin. My sculptures are usually about 7 to 9 inches tall.
I am always open to answering questions, please read my FAQ and check out my “how-to” tag on here as well! :)

Perihelion is a traditional size kirin resin. He is the first ever casted sculpture created by Quequinox Art. The price for Perihelion is $375USD + shipping. He is shipped from Seunta LLC (the casting company) which is located in the United States. Shipping prices are as follows:
USA $25USD Canda $50 USD International $60 USD
Once an order is paid in full (including shipping) I will forward your information, the casting fee, and the shipping fee to Seunta LLC who will then make a cast of the sculpture and ship it to you. Seunta LLC has estimated about 5 business days to complete orders once I forward them the payment.
I do take payment plans on Perihelion. I require a $150USD non-refundable deposit with the remainder including shipping to be paid within 8 weeks. All in-between time payments are non-refundable. All prices are in USD. I take paypal but can consider money orders too.
If you are interested, please send an email to [email protected] or [email protected]. Please do not send payments to either of these email accounts.
Thank you!

throwback to this sculpture from 2014/2015, Nuvuloso.
I have two new unicorns done (waiting for a cloudy day for photos), one is a palomino and one is a dapple grey. Nuvuloso is an old favourite of mine, can’t believe it’s been that long since I made him. I really need to sculpt more.

I have added 3 new horror sculptures to my etsy store and these two are FINALLY getting primed and ready for paint. They will be listed in the next month or two once they are painted, haired, and photographed.
I wanted to post an update for you all, in addition to the 3 horror sculptures and these two, another huge project of mine is nearing completion. I will announce that soon!
Another random announcement is that I will be attending breyerfest this year. Not as a vendor or artisian, just as a model horse dork, but I’m still very excited to see other equine sculptors and spend a ton of money :D
hope everyone here is doing well!
