Alchemical Planetary Sigils for Evocation

This post is going to be a sort of follow-up on my Planetary Decagram post. However, where that post focused on the invocation of Planetary Influences, this post is going to focus on the evocation.
Though the two words are often mistakenly used interchangeably, invoking refers to the calling upon or appealing to some power outside of the practitioner, whereas evoking refers to the act of summoning a power within the practitioner, for example: Simon performed an invocation to summon the presence of Artemis, while Samantha performed an evocation to summon within herself the attributes of Artemis, for use in her Craft.
As such, this post is going to focus on the evoking of Planetary Influences from within, so as to affect the actions and inner workings of the practitioner.
The above sigils (taken from my grimoire) are that which i have created, using the astrological glyphs of the planets, and the alchemical glyph for the process of amalgamation (which is the upper-most glyph pictured). I have created these sigils by melding each planetary glyph with this alchemical symbol to create ten unique and useful planetary sigils.
The reason i have chosen the above alchemical amalgamation symbol, is because these sigils are intended to be inscribed upon the skin, thus amalgamating that planet’s attributes and influences with that of the practitioner. In so doing, the practitioner is able to call forth within themselves the power of that planet, for use in their Craft and in their daily life.
So, say you wanted to evoke within yourself the powers of Neptune. Perhaps you wish to delve further into your subconscious, strengthen your intuition, or are planning on doing some serious dream work. For whatever reason, you require the attributes and powers of Neptune, and wish to summon those attributes within yourself:
• Sit yourself down at your altar or working area, and, with a suitably smudge-proof ink, inscribe the amalgamative glyph of Neptune (pictured above) upon your skin. Anywhere on the body is fine. • Dip your finger into some good quality olive oil, and anoint the sigil on your skin, all the while focusing on what aspects of Neptune you wish to evoke. • Take a small sprinkling of dried, ground Neptunian herb, and sprinkle it onto the oiled sigil, further infusing those properties into your being. (A list of planetary herbs is given below). • Sit in quiet contemplation for a few moments, and, using whichever method you normally employ, finish up the ritual and dab off the oil/herb with a clean cloth. Your method of closing a ritual might include blowing out any candles you burnt for the working, saying any words of power you choose (“it is done,” “make it so,” etc.), snapping your fingers or closing your circle, and so on. • Congratulations, you are now a Neptunian badass with all the planetary power you could possibly need. Have fun and kick ass!
Planetary Herbs:
Sun - Frankincense, Camomile, Cedar Moon - Myrrh, Jasmine, Lemon Mercury - Lavender, Geranium, Marjoram Venus - Rose, Ylang-ylang, Lilac Mars - Cinnamon, Eucalyptus, Basil Jupiter - Sandalwood, Oak, Clove Saturn - Cypress, Patchouli, Hemlock Uranus - Coffee, Black Mustard, Anise Neptune - Willow, Mugwort, Lotus Pluto - Poppy, Dandelion, Belladonna
- Brigitte

Herb Spotlight: Fleabane

Guess what bitches? It's ~Fleabane Season~
Fleabane is a "weed" (i.e., a wildflower in the Erigeron family) that is prevalent throughout North America, and grows like crazy if left to prosper in meadow-y areas. It looks very similar to domesticated daisies, albeit much smaller in flower size, more akin to German Chamomile. There are actually many different types of Fleabane, and the color of the petals can vary from white to yellow, or even a pinkish/purpley color. It's a composite flower, and it will have many flower heads per stem. Neat, huh?
Anyways, Fleabane had been used for thousands of years in North America by the indigenous peoples. It has both a variety of magickal and medicinal uses!
Magickal uses include:
Exorcism. Yes, like banishing-bad-sprits type of exorcism, along with banishment of negative energies. Burn it as you would any other herb bundle (sage, rosemary, cedar, etc) to exorcize a space of any negative entity or energy.
You can also use it to protect yourself by preventing bad spirits from arriving by hanging it around your home - either in bundles, or small sachets. Can be done in combination with St. John's Wort, wheat, and a few capers for best effect.
The seeds of the Fleabane flower tossed between the bedsheets promotes chastity. I guess if you really need someone (or yourself) to remain celibate for a time, this can come in handy - especially if the person co-sleeps with a partner.
Alignments of: feminine aspect, the planet Venus, and the element of Water.
Along with the metaphysical uses of Fleabane, there is a wide variety of medicinal uses for this plant (note: I am not a medical doctor. Do not take this as medical advice. Consult a physician or certified herbalist if you plan on taking it for any of these... ahem... more serious uses).
Medicinal uses include:
To reduce inflammation. Can be used in a poultice or a tea to treat inflammation about the body.
Wound ointment. Traditionally, the Cherokee made an ointment using the herb and tallow to made a balm or salve for cuts and scrapes, as it has astringent properties.
You can steep it in a Witch Hazel Extract solution to further enhance the astringent properties for use on skin.
The roots can be boiled in water to make a solution for "menstruation troubles" (i.e., to bring about a miscarriage. Dangerous. Do not do this).
Drinking a tea can also help break fevers and treat symptoms of the common cold
A diuretic, can help with certain kidney conditions (consult a doctor for this one to make sure no medications you are taking with interfere with its use. Do not use if you have a history of kidney disease) by breaking up any of the smaller particulates that would lead to kidney stones
Using the herb as an incense and inhaling the smoke can be used to treat head colds
Has antioxidant and neuroprotective properties from something called caffeic acid, which this plant has LOTS of!
Aids in digestion and can be used to treat diarrhea
May help with passive bleeding or minor hemorrhaging by being applied directly to the wound (don't take this advice, go to the fuckin ER)
Had been shown in some circumstances to inhibit the growth of cancerous tumors (for the love of God, see a doctor for this, don't take the advice of a post on tumblr dot com to treat cancer)
Isn't this plant so cool? And you cloud have it growing in your yard right now! I know I do, because I harvested a fuck ton of it today, evidenced here:

I'm going to dry all of these bundles and process them into cut and shifted leaves/stems and flowerheads. The two small bundles in the middle will be hung from the ceiling to ward off negative spirits and energies.
Now for some fun facts!
Despite the name Fleabane and the association of repelling fleas and ticks, there is no proven evidence that this works... at least for the dried herbs. I haven't found any studies on this for live plants.
The entire plant is edible, and is high in vitamin C! It was used to treat scurvy, and the cooked leaves taste like spinach (you can eat them raw, but there's little hairs all over it, which are not pleasant to consume)
These plants are high in caffeine! If you make a tea out of the flower heads the same way you would Chamomile, you get a nice floral tea with a kick to start your day off right.
Remember kids! I am *not* a doctor, so don't be using this to treat some weird ailment or cancer. And please, for the love of God, do some research on herbs before you use them medicinally. But in terms of the metaphysical properties, go ham! Have a blast! Banish that weird ghost in your house that likes to watch you pee!
And as always, have fun with your craft!

Billiardmancy: Divination for the Dirty Dive Bar Regular

I have developed a system of divination that I've termed Billiardmancy, because it seems to me that no one has developed anything surrounding pool games in terms of witchcraft and divination.
Now obviously not everyone is going to use this form of divination, nor is it necessarily accessible or convenient for... well, literally anyone who doesn't regularly play pool with friends at a bar (or owns a pool table. Them bitches be expensive) And even so, how many of those types of witchy, professionally-minded people hang out in dirty old dive bars on their nights out?
Anyways, here's how you do The Thing, and if anyone would like any more information on this or has any questions, please feel free to reblog or shoot me an ask.
Billiardmancy Basics for the Dirty Dive Bar Regular: A Mostly Comprehensive Guide
First things first, how the FUCK does this shit work? Well, think of it almost in a sortilege/runecasting type of way, where the "center" are the items closest in terms of time to what you're reading, and the ones further away are further removed/less indicative of influence on the situation at hand. Except, well... there is not a "center". Well, there is, but it's not the "center." It can be anywhere on the table, because it's actually the cue ball: i.e., the representation of self. Or, in layman's terms, the big white ball represents the person that the reading is being done for/about.
Now, I bet you're wondering about setup. How is this all performed? Well, that's simple really. The person who the reading is being done for (or the reader, if doing it themselves) both racks and breaks the balls. When racking, use intuition and place them where they feel right, like shuffling a deck of tarot/oracle cards. I personally use an 8-ball game spread versus a 9-ball spread for the greater variety, but it can be done either way. You'll just be using less balls, which in the end is actually easier - think of it as doing an 15 card tarot spread versus a 9 card one. Less info means less accurate, but easier to read (especially for beginners).
Now, once they've been racked, they gotta be broken up. Whomever is breaking the rack is the same person who racked the balls, so they get the say of where they want to break them - "shooting from the kitchen" is not required, but suggested just for the sake of the "randomness" of the spread. Now, what happens if the breaker pots the cue when they break? (i.e.: the cue ball goes into the pocket instead of staying on the table). Well, there's a few different answers for that.
Was this a yes-or-no type of reading? If yes, a potted cue ball is immediately a "no."
Was this a reading for what to expect in the future? If yes, potting the cue ball is a bad omen, but one should re-rack and re-break for a more thorough reading.
Was this a situation-based reading? If yes, re-rack and disregard the potted cue.
Was this a general state-of-life reading? If yes, refer to point #3.
Now, what the hell do the balls even mean? Well, I have a general list of their representations. In combination with other balls, consider the issues "tied," or dependant on one another. The further apart different balls are, the less connected they are to each other in terms of the situation at hand. I consider balls having influence on one another if they are within one diamond mark away from each other (in terms of lateral distance).

(You see those dots running around the edge of the table? Those are the "diamond marks." They're actually called the "sights" or "diamond system" to professional players, but I've always just called them diamond marks).
And, likewise, balls "in front" of other balls (from the 360 perspective of the cue) are blocking out those particular issues - either obscuring them from view, preventing them from coming forth, or interfering with whatever is behind them.
Now, onto what is arguably the most important aspect of this type of reading: what do the balls mean? Well, here's a quick list:
One Ball (Solid Yellow): The ego, centralism, nearsightedness, greed, personal thoughts, self-esteem, beginnings, the mind. Aligns with the element of air, the planet sun (obvi not actually a planet but w/e), the sign Leo, and the masculine aspect.
Two Ball (Solid Blue): The emotion, equanimity, movement or change, control, compromise, fluidity or flexibility, feeling. Aligns with the element of water, the planet Jupiter, the sign Pisces, and the feminine aspect.
Three Ball (Solid Red): The drive, passion, creativity, movement, expedition, travel, anger, betrayal. Aligns with the element of fire, the planet Mercury, the sign Leo, and the masculine aspect.
Four Ball (Solid Purple): The intuition, purpose, divinity, the astral self, knowing, self reliance, instinct, problem solving. Aligns with the element of air, the planet Saturn, the sign Aquarius, and the feminine aspect.
Five Ball (Solid Orange): The innovation, options, diversity, procrastination, decision-making, choices, mechanical or technological, turmoil, unrest. Aligns with the element of fire, the planet Mars, the sign Sagittarius, and the masculine aspect.
Six Ball (Solid Green): The stability, grounding, steadfast, prosperous, financial, fertility, abundance. Aligns with the element of earth, the planet Earth, the sign of Taurus, and the feminine aspect.
Seven Ball (Solid Burgundy/Brown): The heart, love, commitment, luck, tolerant, obsessive, controlling. Aligns with the elements of fire and water, the planet Venus, the sign of Aquarius, the both the masculine and feminine aspects.
Eight Ball (Solid Black): The shadow, unseen forces, shadow self, subconscious, malice, evil, spite, internalization, depression, self-loathing, the veil. Aligns to the element of Earth, the planet Neptune, the sign Libra, and the masculine aspect.
Nine Ball (Striped Yellow): The influence, outside forces, acquaintances, unforeseen circumstances, things out of your control. Aligns to the element of air, the planet Saturn, the the sign Gemini, and the feminine aspect.
Ten Ball (Striped Blue): The destiny, future changes, callings, motivation to change, things out of your control, purpose. Aligns to the element of water, the planet Jupiter, the sign Scorpio, and the feminine aspect.
Eleven Ball (Striped Red): The reflection, balance, as above so below, not all things are as they seem, opposites, magnetism. Aligns to the element of Air, the planet Uranus, the sign Libra, and the masculine aspect.
Twelve Ball (Striped Purple): The advancement, opinions, intellect, learning, apprenticeship, teaching, bestowed knowledge, callings. Aligns to the element of Air and Earth, the planet Mercury, the sign Capricorn, and the feminine and masculine aspect.
Thirteen Ball (Striped Orange): The deception, preconceived notions, adversaries, shooting yourself in the foot, willful ignorance. Aligns to the element of fire, the planet Mars, the sign Aries, and the masculine aspect.
Fourteen Ball (Striped Green): The comfort, things within control, ease, home, calm, parenthood, gentle growth. Aligns to the element of Earth, the Moon, the sign Cancer, and the feminine aspect.
Fifteen Ball (Striped Burgundy/Brown): The destruction, that which wishes to impede progress, chaos, unrelenting forces, unrest, nightmares, war. Aligns to the element of fire, the planet Mars, the sign Sagittarius, and the masculine aspect.
Of course those who are used to reading tarot understand that not all of the meanings of the cards are applicable to every reading, but the primary purpose always stays the same when combined with other cards. However, they also know that, depending on the position in the spread and the combinations with other cards, the meanings do change. This is also applicable in billiardmancy, where the meanings can change based on proximity to the other balls.
Now, I'm sure you're wondering why there are also elemental, planetary, zodiac, and masc/fem alignments to these meanings as well, and there's a simple reason for that: I just wanted to lol. Theoretically, in practice, it can provide some good further insight to the meanings of the balls and what can and can't be construed about the reading itself. You wanna use 'em? Go for it! You don't? Then disregard! No reason to fret about about an aspect that has no real necessity on the subject, but they're there if you want to use them.
One last piece of info that I think is very important: You already know about potting the cue and what that means depending on the reading type. But what happens to the other balls that you sink? Well, that's super easy: Just don't read them! Think of them sort of as the cards that are left in the deck when doing a tarot reading: they just don't apply.
Later on I'll be posting a "mock reading" to go more in depth on the method in which you can actually perform the reading. It will be specifically how I do it, but if you find a way that works better for you, then I would recommend doing that instead. Your confidence in divination is important, and if you don't have any confidence there, it's not gonna turn out so good.
Again, if y'all have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!
-Quex

I want to work in a metaphysical shop but I keep more information about some things can you help me
Sorry it took so long to get back to you, I've been super busy.
What information do you need? And what truly makes you want to work at a metaphysical shop?
0 notes
Note
I might have already asked this but
Is there any information I like NEED to know about spirituality before I work at a metaphysical shop
Sorry to get to this so late, I've been super busy lol.
You need to know more than the average person. Can you answer all of a beginner's questions? Can you give appropriate answers regarding particular spiritual paths? Have you read all the standard beginner books (Wicca: A Guide For the Solitary Practitioner by Scott Cunningham, Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft by Raymond Buckland, etc)? Are you going to be able to give good and unbiased advice to whoever comes to you regarding Witchcraft and spirituality?
If not, work on these things. You will always be learning as well. Don't ever stop practicing or gaining new knowledge about different spiritualities and spiritual practices if you want to work at a metaphysical shop.
And if one hires you off the street without knowing how much you know first, they 100% aren't worth their salt.

For those of you wondering what working at a metaphysical shop is like, this is it.
Fun phone call at work today.
"Local occult shop, this is Quex, how can I help you?"
"Hi, yes, I need to speak to the psychic."
"And what is this pertaining to?"
"I need a Psychic Reading"
Mentally: Oh fuck, here we go...
"Do you mean, like, a tarot reading?"
"Uhhhhhm, NO... no tools..."
"I'm sorry ma'am, we don't offer those services here."
"Well FUCK YOU" *hangs up*
The weirdest part is that the number area code is from like, 10 states away. Wonder how many places she called before us.
Like, what the fuck even is a "psychic reading?" You have any idea how broad that term is, how many things fit under that umbrella term???

So, I've worked at a metaphysical/witchcraft/occult shop for a couple of years now. I see a lot of people, and a LOT of them always express how much they would like to work there. They're constantly asking me:
"Hey, can I work here?" or "Are you hiring at the moment?" or even "How long do you have to have been practicing to work here?"
Well, the last is kind of a stupid question. There isn't a year requirement, theres a "do you even know what you're talking about when it comes to witchcraft?" requirement. If the owner knows that you know what you're talking about, can verify you're reliable, and you're not going to fuckin LIE to customers about shit, then it doesn't matter how long you've been practicing. Experience =/= knowledge in this case. You can read 40 books in a year on this stuff and know more than someone who's been practicing for 10 years but only read one.
But with the two prior questions, the answer, in short, is no. We always tend to get them to send a resume to our business email, and we tell them we'll call em if we need em. There's no "application," and 95% of the time you are offered a job, and not when you ask for it.
Here's the thing, though!! We're horribly short-staffed. We're living in an age where finding labor for retail/restaurant is damn near impossible, but we get 20+ people wanting to work here every. week. So I'm sure hours wondering why the fuck aren't you hiring those people???
And it's because 90% of the time, it's baby witches coming in wanting to work here. We have to be well versed in witchcraft. I mean hell, we're a globally renowned shop that has people from different fuckin' continents calling for advice and supplies. A good portion of our customer interactions are baby witches coming in, asking where to start, and expecting us to give them good advice and lead them in the right direction.
So, we're not going to hire people that don't know what they're talking about. We have to know you know about this shit. The baby witches wanting jobs here always think that they'll learn more about this stuff on the job, and while that is true, you're not going to get all of the necessary knowledge to actually work here by, well, working here. You have to know that stuff before we'll hire you, not exceptions.
So before you apply for a job at your local metaphysical shop, think about your skill level and whether you would be comfortable taking advice on things you don't know about from someone who knows just as much as you do.

I'm writing a beginner book on witchcraft.
Now, I know what ya thinking, "Quex! There are already so many!! What could your chaos-driven little cursed soul have to contribute??"
Well that, my friend, is an incredibly dumb statement; what makes you the expert on whether or not my soul is cursed? (It is)
Anyways, as someone who's worked at a metaphysical shop for quite a while now, the vast majority of my book recommendations are beginners coming in asking, "where do I even start?" And the answered to that question (for me) is always, "It depends - where do you *want* to start?"
Most of the time, they don't know. So I either recommend Uncle Bucky's Big Blue Book or Cunningham's Solitary with the "I want y'all to keep in mind, this is a Wiccan book, but it's full of great info if you want something secular" disclosure. If we have em in stock, I'll recommend Cornish Book of Ways by Gemma Gary or Inner Temple by Penczak, both also great beginner-friendly books.
Anyways, the gap I've found in "beginner books" is just that - I've found you need to disclose the type of practice to the beginners and let them know "this is NOT law, you can branch out from here, nothing is set in stone." Which makes starting out just so much more confusing. Hell, it took me TWO YEARS to figure out that Wicca=/=Witchcraft (I was also in middle school, so). When I finally made the revelation, I was like "Oh shit, I'm not actually Wiccan wtf," and I just wanna prevent any newbies from going through the same thing I did, if I can help it. There's also gonna be a section on the fact it's okay to change your practice over time - what you start out with is probably not gonna be the exact same thing you die practicing, and that's okay. Either way, I would love to gently guide these baby witches - but let them lead the way at the same time. Hell, it's their practice, not mine. Who am I to say what they should start doing first?
So I have decided to bridge that gap!! I am going to write: "Wirchcraft: Where the Fuck Do I Start?" It'll have all the key elements: rocks, symbols, different types of practice, the "do I need to *buy* this for this spell?", the importance of cross-referencing, what religion you might want to look into based on your wants and needs for your Practice, whether worshipping Gods and Goddesses is even necessary, and, most importantly: CORRESPONDENCES!! It'll have a massive bibliography in it, sorted by the what-and-how, and what things are worth looking into based on your level of practice, and a cheat sheet for the authors' type of practice and how heavily influenced it is by their religion.
The beginner book for all beginner books!!! I want the new witches and first-timers to read my book and know exactly where they want to branch off to afterwards. And if they still don't know? Well, here's a buncha fuckin resources to help you!!
This will *not* be a "spell book." It won't have "heres a spell candle for love!!! uwu" in it. Instead, it'll teach you the correspondences (and how to find them) so you can *make your own spells.* Homemade is better than store-bought, ya know?
Anyways I'm just super excited about it so I'm ranting.

⚫Black Salt ⚫
What it does: Black salt is used for protection traditionally. This could mean protecting yourself, your home, a loved one, a pet. Anything!
How to use it: Spell work, ritual, charms, and more! Or you can sprinkle it around outside of your home, preferably in a circle around the perimeter of your home. You can use it to cast a circle, wear in a charm, or in a mojo bag.
What you need: It’s super easy to make and can be made with items found around your home or otherwise easily obtainable at a grocery store.
✔️ Salt - Any salt you’d like, but needs to be white. Iodized, table salt, sea salt. Your choice!
*Salt is known to be purifying, cleansing, and protecting
✔️ Black Pepper - Any black pepper, even the cheapest you can find is perfect fine!
*Black pepper is adding a little zing to your salt, when you get a whiff of straight black pepper, your reaction is usually to sneeze/pull away. You want to channel that feeling of “back the fuck up!”
✔️ Charcoal disc or grilling charcoal - This is how we make the salt black. You can use charcoal discs or charcoal that you use to grill out with!
Alternative: Ashes from fires or other spell work.
✔️ Something to grind everything up with, possibly a knife. I just used a mortar and pestle.
✔️ Some container to keep your finished black salt in. Could be Tupperware, a jar, whatever you’d like.
How to make it: It’s quite easy! I am not one for exact measurements, you really just want to make sure you can get the salt as black as you can. You can double the recipe over and over depending on how much you want to make at once.
While you are following the below steps, think about what you want this salt to do. Protection against thieves, liars, a certain person, bad energy/bad vibes, from evil spirits (if you believe in that), etc.
1. Start by cutting or grinding up the charcoal. I used an entire charcoal disc. You really can’t have TOO much charcoal.
2. Add in salt a tablespoon at a time, stirring or grinding it into the charcoal, keep adding salt until you start to see that it is making the charcoal start to turn grey. You don’t want it to turn grey, so try to stop before it gets there!
3. Add in black pepper a tablespoon at a time, stirring or grinding into your charcoal/salt mixture. Again, don’t let the mixture get too grey.
As always remember that nothing has to be perfect or exact! You can always make anything your own, follow your gut, what feels right to you.

Tamarisk
(Tamarix spp.)
Gender: Feminine. Planet: Saturn. Element: Water. Deity: Anu. Powers: Exorcism, Protection.
Magical Uses: The tamarisk has an ancient history of use in exorcisms, dating back at least 4,000 years. During exorcism rites a branch of the tree is held in the hand and the leaves are scattered about to drive out demons and evil. For best results the tamarisk should be cut with a gold axe and a pruning knife fashioned of silver. The smoke of burning tamarisk drives away snakes, and tamarisk sticks were used for divining by the Chaldeans.

$$ Money Oil and Spell to Either Get a Job or Bring Prosperity $$
Oil:
You will need:
olive oil (as a base and for prosperity)
peppermint (for money)
thyme (for money)
cinnamon (sticks or ground, for prosperity)
some form of gold and/or green stone (I used tiger’s eye and jade)
gold flakes/glitter (optional, for money)
Glass container or bottle
Add all the ingredients to your container, shake well and while shaking think about gaining money. Let sit for a few days to infuse. Add label if desired.
/fin
Spell:
You will need:
money oil
Green, gold, or white candle
Base to burn candle on if or is not contained (like a tea light or jar candle)
Gold glitter (optional)
Pyrite or other gold stone
Anoint the candle, from top to middle and bottom to middle. Feel free to carve/write a sigil onto the candle (Dollar signs also work well for this). Sprinkle glitter onto base if a base is required, or beneath where the candle will sit if there is no base (If your candle is not self-contained, pull out the metal bit at the bottom about half a centimeter and cut the wick. Pull the wick back up through the candle until you can no longer see it on the bottom. This will help keep it from burning your fucking house down if your base is made of wood. Mine is a wooden incense burner with a pentagram on it). Anoint the stone and set it near the candle (note: pyrite is combustible. Not flammable, COMBUSTIBLE. As in: Explosive. You can accidentally fuck shit up if it catches a spark. Keep it far enough away from the candle to be safe). Allow the candle to burn out, or if it is large, snuff it out after a while of burning (30+ minutes), DO NOT BLOW IT OUT. It will blow away all of your hard work and sent all that energy you conjured flying into the abyss instead of into your desires.

Quick Energy Spell
Need some energy to do your school work? Have a feeling you’re going to get really tired at work? Need to pull an all-nighter? This is for you.
You will need:
Lodestone or hematite oil (shown how to be made below, to draw in energy)
Citrine or carnelian (for energy)
Incense (ginger, cinnamon, patchouli, cedarwood, myrrh, sandalwood, and nag champa are some good ones; for energy)
Yellow or white candle (for vitality)
A small scrap of paper with an energy sigil or rune on it with a fireproof bowl (I think you know what the sigil is for by now. If you don’t you’re on the wrong side of the web my dude)
How to perform:
Make the lodestone or hematite oil. Literally just put the stones in the oil of your choice and shake it up a bit. Boom. Stone infused oil.
Anoint the candle bottom -> middle, and top -> middle. This way of anointing draws in energy.
Light the candle. Burn the paper with the sigil/rune on it. Toss it in the fire safe bowl (You can have some salt and/or sage in the bowl when you do this, for good measure. Won’t hurt anything).
Light the incense with the candle. Say an incantation if you wish, but it’s not really necessary.
Let the incense burn for 1-3 minutes, depending on the amount of time you have. Extinguish it by smothering it in the bottom of the bowl you put the burned scrap of paper in.
Snuff out the candle, or if you’re staying nearby and the candle is small, let it burn out on its own. (Don’t blow it out. If you don’t have a snuffer use a shot glass or something).
Aaaand energy. Go!
