While it feels futuristic with improved amenities, infrastructure, climate progress, and a more developed society, it’s still technically the year 2025. So it’s futuristic, just not actually set in the future.

Have you ever shifted to your magical girl dr? even minishifted? What was that like?

I’ve minishifted there so far! I didn’t get to do much, but I did get a good look of my bedroom. It was a nearly perfect copy of how I scripted it (visually at least). The entire room smelled lightly of lavender and vanilla as well, it was very relaxing.

So when someone suggests magical girls might be real, it sounds ridiculous.

…The first thread wasn't even popular at first.

Users posted grainy phone footage of collapsing buildings with no recorded seismic activity, unexplained lights streaking across the sky, and damage reports that never made the news.

Another user uploaded a low-quality video of a girl in a strange, glowing outfit walking away from a smoldering crater in Sapporo.

No formal gear. No back up squad. Just her and a strange shimmering object in her hand.

Magic users don't wear ribbons and fight monsters. They wear badges and submit reports.

And yet the footage kept coming.

People leaping from rooftops. Shields materializing from nowhere. Spells cast without incantations or regulators. And always, just for a second before disappearing—someone in an elaborate costume, standing alone in the aftermath.

Some dismissed it as performance art. Others called it digital effects. A select group of people even thought it was an elaborate ARG or government cover-up. But more and more people began asking the same question:

Hi can you tell your experience on your first shift?

Sure! This happened around April 2021:

I was laying down after a “long” day of virtual classes, listening to a subliminal (this one if it matters). I wasn’t physically tired though so I decided to just relax and recite some affirmations. After about 5 minutes, my body began to feel as though it was being lifted up, explosions of bright light and swirling colors blurred behind my closed eyes.

The sensation grew more intense so I opened my eyes…but I was no longer in my room. I looked down at my chrome hands, chrome feet, chrome everything… even the room was chrome. I heard a meowing sound and looked down to see Gary the snail from Spongebob (also chrome).

I remember touching everything: the walls, the couch, the door, it all being ice cold and solid. At the time, I had read up on reality checks, so I was trying to put my palms through my fingers, looking at clocks, watching tv, dialing random numbers, everything😭. My final test was gently kicking Gary (cruel of me but I assumed he couldn’t feel anything). I over estimated his weight though, because he essentially flew across the room.

I felt extremely guilty so I spent the remaining time of my shift petting him, feeding him, and giving him one of his toys. I shifted back as soon as I was sure he was comfortable and satisfied. When I checked the time after shifting back, I estimated the shift lasted roughly 40 minutes.

So TLDR: I shifted to that one SpongeBob episode where everything was chrome, checked out the place, kicked Gary, felt like shit, and shifted back.

Hello! I shouldve been more specific but essentially I fully shifted, was aware of the surroundings, etc. However, it was not where I intended to shift to or where I wanted to be if that makes sense.
