welp, apparently I'm now gonna start a new medicine that is associated with chemo. wild

i was made fun of in 7th grade because I used the words "alas", "whilst" "unto" "weary" and "resolute" in an essay about psychological issues that are commonly misunderstood

i genuinely Did Not Know those words were mostly considered "old" or "unused" -- this is probably from me growing up reading pretty advanced texts for my age

with the obvious exception of "resolute" and maybe "weary", all those words are something I've found useful in my life and, despite their dated use, really feel lovely to speak. y'all ever said "but alas, they simply could not"??? IT FEELS NICE

"alas" is a truly S tier english word. fantastic mouthfeel, makes me sound like a world-weary wizard, looks cool when written out. good job to whoever created this word.
