my thoughts on my first day on prozac (digital journaling now ig)

very jittery, not necessarily energized, just jittery. also very anxious, lots of anxious energy. i’m also kinda twitchy

i have cried three times since i had my first dose, which is strange cuz i kinda just don’t cry.

definitely not feeling better, honestly kinda feeling worse cuz i have the energy to be panicked about how poorly i’m doing in life but still have no motivation to actually do anything about it

WHAT IS POLYFRAGMENTATION

a common misconception i see in the community is that polyfragmentation refers to having a high alter count, and id like to talk about what it actually means polyfragmentation is characterized by a complex system structure, complex splitting patterns, a large number of fragments, a lack of non-dissociative coping mechanisms, and often trauma that began at an early age and impacted all areas of life COMPLEX SYSTEM STRUCTURE - often involving layers, subsystems, or other divisions within the system that keep alters separate in groups COMPLEX SPLITTING PATTERNS - this involves splitting in groups, splitting multiple alters to hold different parts of the same trauma, etc LARGE FRAGMENT COUNT - polyfragmented systems will have a high fragment count, fragments are alters who lack a full sense of identity LACK OF NON-DISSOCIATIVE COPING MECHANISMS - where splitting would typically be a last resort for most systems, polyfragmented systems can be pushed to the point of splitting much easier, even from daily life stressors EARLY LIFE TRAUMA - according to richard p kluft, polyfragmented DID is often caused by longstanding severe abuse beginning early in life - grey

Species-flux

term coined by me, as I could not find a similar term out there, but please let me know if it exists

What is species-flux?

Species-flux or species-fluid is a term under the nonhuman/alterhuman umbrella that means ones species or nonhuman identities are fluid, similar to genderfluid or any fluid identity. This is not inherently polykin but I would assume most that would use this term would also be polykin, but there is a difference as polykin is just having more than one kintype

There is no limit to when your identity might fluctuate, it could change every hour or once in a blue moon, really depends on each being, for me I tend to kinda change each day but it can last longer or shorter, as a example today I am a snow leopard, but tomorrow I could be one of my marten identitys or something

For me I experience it as I never am really all my kins at once and am only one at a time, at least shift wise, but I still identify as all my kintypes at the same time despite not feeling like them all at the same time

This could be interpreted in however you want if it fits you, but some ways I can think of are:

-Not having a set kintype(s), and instead fluctuating on what animals you identify as (I feel like a term for this already exists but idk)

-Having set kintypes but never being more then one at a time really (like me)

-having fluxations on even having a species, like one day you are a dog and others you aren't really anything

Its really up to however it works for you though, really the only “requirement” I guess is its fluid in some way, still unsure if a term that's similar is out there but I will probably keep this specific label as I've been kinda referring to myself as it for awhile and makes the most sense to me

Nobody tells you how amazing it is to find someone who loves you no matter what. I don't have to share my trauma or my issues for them to believe me, I don't have to explain why I'm not in the mood to talk or call, and I can be as weird as I want and they love me anyway. Coming from a life where love has always been conditional, it's a crazy feeling to be loved no matter what but it feels so good

mfs be like, "You don't have DID, i can tell when you switch and your alters act so different from each other!!" but the only place they've seen any of my parts talk is on online spaces specifically for DID.

hey, news flash, there's no reason for alters to mask in online spaces created specifically for people like them. obviously they're going to mask as the host IRL, you think we act like this IRL? hell no bitch, we mask HEAVILY. that is how we be safe. the only time we don't mask is when they know we have DID and we trust them enough to actually show how i actually behave.

masking almost every part of your life is exhausting so of course if i get the opportunity to unmask, i'm gonna take it.

like oh my God i don't go out IRL and start acting as obnoxious as i do online, i don't start going "omg so [alter] did this—" or say "hi i'm Fax i'm fronting rn!!" no, i don't do that. i act like the host specifically so that no one IRL knows we have DID. how someone acts online doesn't translate to how they behave IRL guys!!

i hate that aspen (or fucking eden or whatever they’re going by) ruined tumblr for us. i love this app but every time i open it i get so anxious and my fight or flight kicks in. i feel like i’m constantly waiting to be attacked and the only way to avoid it is to attack first
