Fandom is such a weird place. Like I watched a tv show and thought “wow, these two nerds have a lot of chemistry and I’d like to dedicate a large chunk of my life to thinking about them” so I went in search of other people who also thought these two nerds had a lot of chemistry and then it turned out that a shit ton of people were talking about these two nerds having a lot of chemistry and now it’s 4 years later and we write each other porn on holidays.

Hmm what shall my new hyper fixation be?
Will it be a book? A movie? A game? A TV show I’ll binge watch in a day and then grieve for like a lost family member?
Maybe it’ll be a new useless skill I’ll feel the intense urge to master, or an obscure topic that I’ll obsessively learn everything about.
Who knows! The only thing for certain is that I’ll dedicate too much time and effort into it for the next few weeks, whilst neglecting all my responsibilities and fragile social life, just to fill the void and finally feel a sense of purpose and achievement, before inevitably forgetting all about it and starting again. What fun!

I wanted to draw the winter soldier for years but never dared to, I thought I’d definitely mess it up. Late to the party as always, but I finally dared to do it 😊
This one is based on a photo that Sebastian Stan took by chance prior to the Civil War film, having no idea what’s about to come :> I thought it’s wonderfully angsty 😌💅

Guys can we talk about how TFATWS did Bucky kinda dirty?
Like I get what they were going for and I think they got a lot of things right, but how they handled Bucky’s survivors guilt kind of rubs me the wrong way.
E.g. how Sam says he should ‘be of service’ to the victims of the WS… just kind of implies Bucky bears some responsibility when he was literally tortured and brainwashed for 70 years and didn’t have a modicum of control.
Like I know it could provide some closure for him, to help the victims, but like.. putting himself through that kind of emotional turmoil and dedicating the rest of his life - that he just got back - to the sins of hydra.. urgh I dunno. It just kind of makes me sad.
Bucky is a victim too.
I just think the pure horror of what he went through was kind of downplayed and swept to the side as the series went on. The resolution of his series arc, confessing to killing Yori’s son, felt very rushed and lacklustre to me.
Did anyone else feel the same or am I completely overthinking it?

He wants to laugh at the irony, he really does, as he lets Potter brand his arm and override the dark mark with a new one.

It’s always bothered me that people call them old men, like Steve was only in his twenties in the first avengers - while Tony was already forty.
The ice was like a blink of an eye for him, he didn’t age physically or mentally. To then suddenly be in a whole new time, alone, and then treated like you should have ninety years of wisdom, when you’ve actually only lived twenty six years must have been such a mind fuck.
Oh dear, I feel a fic coming on 😂
Thinking about how Steve and Bucky are probably treated like they have this amazing, age-old wisdom, when in reality they were just barely adults when they lost each other and everything else.
There is something so childlike about the way they cling to each other, how they won’t let one another go, not again.
They are each other’s tether in a strange world. The other is all they have.
