I just want to ask, I genuinely don't understand the Bright love and I want to understand, especially since the pieces written by the original author about the character do also feature various disgusting and pedophillic actions, example;

I really want to understand why people are so insistent on keeping Bright when the person and character are both predatory creeps.

Most Bright fans come from YouTube, Tumblr, and Instagram and don’t even know there is an original author. A good chunk of Bright fans have never even visited the wiki, as such they get attached to the character without knowing about his origins and by then it’s too late to simply tell them to erase and forget about the character.

I myself got attached to Bright through the SCP Explained YouTube channel and hadn’t even visited the wiki or looked at Brights page until years afterwards. So you have to understand the Bright most fans have gotten attached to isn’t the version of him on the wiki that’s so infamous, it’s the fan made versions of him that are scattered throughout the internet and that all slightly differ in personality, most of which omit the predatory actions the original author included.

Also for any Bright fans in need of a Discord server we will be working on creating our own and there is another in the works by someone else as well. These servers will be run by responsible adults who will put the interests of the server members above their own personal agendas. Rewrite users and Shaw users will be welcome. Regulations will be strictly enforced. Additionally we do have experience moderating and owning servers so there’s no need to worry about any issues.

This is a more serious note but I kindly ask everyone and anyone who still supports Cupinho/and or anyone that interacts with them to unfollow me and cease any interaction or contact. This is a person who has caused a lot of pain to others in the Scp Fandom and someone who has disrespected Bright users as a whole. As someone who has made it a point to stand up for Bright users as well as rewrite users this is simply something I cannot stand for.

I do not believe in blocking so please don’t take not being blocked as an invitation to interact. You know who you are.

Also I may still follow certain people who I report on here I don’t consider following to equal support and I do it simply to keep an eye on those known to cause trouble.

I have to say seeing so many larger creators in the fandom being involved in this is incredibly disappointing.

I'm very sorry for this, but the scp fandom should know about this. I've heard way too much about this to just not say anything, so I am doing it on a sideblog to both avoid as much harassment towards myself as possible, and so as many people as possible can see it. This is something that has been going on for years now, and other fandom dramas have fed into it getting worse.

I don't want to be the person pointing fingers, but this is important. Naya (who was a former artist for the fandom) is harassing people after she was cancelled. For context, I'm leaving this link from entomo-maniac where he makes a compilation of what Naya has done (https://www.tumblr.com/entomo-maniac/756653177218236416/who-tf-is-naya?source=share) I want to highlight that Naya is a 27 or 28-year-old woman who is harassing people who usually post under the scp 076 tag, first she started harassing queen-hastur (a minor at the time), then entomo-maniac himself, daydreamingdancer (also a minor, they already deleted this account, and I think they has another one currently), carcasscounty at some point (also, a minor), italianinjartist1992 (here a post of her with a screenshot of what Naya was sending her https://www.tumblr.com/italianinjartist1992/766471714301460480/guys-nayas-back-holy-plz-naya-go-to-jail?source=share), and who-is-this-weirdo. It should be mentioned that she is changing accounts to send those messages via inbox, so it is not known when she will reappear.
