KANGHYUN:" 'Shoot It Out' was already written before I joined the military, I just changed the topic of the lyrics a bit. The original title of the song was 'Quantum Mechanics'. Before I joined the military, it was 'Quantum Mechanics'. Right now, the hook goes 'Towards you, I'll Shoot It Out', but before, it was 'Into the world of quantum mechanics'. While keeping a similar topic and similar meaning of the lyrics, we decided to change the words a bit. We're keeping quantum mechanics as the topic of the song, so I used 'love' as the topic of this song, Love that couldn't come true in our lives, many things that we wanted to do but had to give up due to our environment. I'm sure each of us has those in our lives. But in the parallel universe,those have been achieved already. So, I send a flare to another me living in the parallel world, or to somebody that I love, hoping that everything that I wished for will have come true in that world. That's what the song's about. Actually, 'Shoot It Out' might sound powerful, but the lyrics are very emotional."
