I see a lot of this statement in me. The power of over-introspection which may result in over thinking. Over thinking may end up producing negative thoughts. In his book Chatter, @ethankross talks about the need to “zoom out” and achieve psychological distance. Another possibility is to have a discussion with another person and allow them to ask questions specially about the thoughts in your head. Being aware, observing and eventually taking charge of these thoughts are some of the ways of managing the noise in your head.
