Carving out the insides of my mind like a pumpkin on Halloween. I need a space for manga reviews, dev logs, and comic art stuff so I'm back :)
Read What's His Deal? and Gold Amd Rubies on Webtoon
I'm ngl it's been a minute since I've read a book but I finally finished The Stolen Heir and!! Oak loverboy???? Oak grew up to be a loverboy???? It's like finding out your friends baby brother is now the biggest menace in town lmao
Anyway, I love that he has the most interesting design elements from both Locke and Dain, with the personality to match. So here are my Oaksplorations (Oak explorations) because why not?
I'm very excited to see Jude and Cardan again so soon!!!

I'm tracking my game dev journey let's gooo
Full disclosure: I technically have a degree in game design so in theory this shouldn't be terrible.
In practice, I mostly did game art, and that was self-taught... so I'm essentially a little ways from the starting line but the gunshot is still ringing in my ears.
So why do this at all? Because I've already put in hours of work! I wrote the script, I've done character designs - and yeah some of it needs to be redone but I'm too far in. Plus it's fun.
What's the game? It's a horror game with circus-y creatures.
It WAS a sprawling adventure with varied environments but that was when it wasn't just me and a (very talented) environment modeler. We had dedicated designers and programmers.
But I'm very good at scoping down so I did and I'm fully confident I can use UE5 to create an experience ...somewhat like seen before because I'm going to rely on tutorials... but still fun, interesting, scary, all the things a good horror game should be.
I'm scared, but I firmly believe that I, personally, can do anything I set out to do so long as I have the time.
This week, I've learned to use UE5. It's basically the same as 4 so I already knew a lot of it but it's so fucking cool. I'll start whiteboxing and then maybe put together an environment for my webcomic because I want to. Or reverse that order because I genuinely love making my life more difficult of course.
So I kinda want to get back into using Tumblr again because I want a place to post long winded opinions of things I care about (I'm talking about like... romance manga) and dev logs of a game I'm developing. It's been a few years so idk how it'll go but whatever
I haven't read a book in two full years though so definitely don't expect bookish content, my attention span is shot
The audio is from Little Women (2019), and the casting of Saoirse Ronan as Jude and Timothee Chalamet as Cardan is almost perfect?? Except I hate Chalamet's voice :))
ANYWAY YA books should get anime adaptations and I should do them!!! (Also yeah they are supposed to be dancing for this but uhhh)
Now that I'm more or less a tiktok animator (somehow), I'd like to animate a scene from tfota, to prove that YA books should get anime adaptations. Any suggestions? Preferably with little to no dialogue because I'm not doing voices
t*mblr is such a weird site because one post will be like “i personally believe that all of society’s problems stem from a capitalist system” and you scroll down and the next post says “i want to peg the mothman”
Finally just completely indulging myself with my new comic. It has everything I like!!! Otome Isekai!!!! Indian fantasy!!!! Costume to design!!!!! Romance!!!! MONSTERS!!!!!
Anyway, you can read it here!
And if you want something more contemporary but equally monster-filled, read this!
I'm so happy to be able to make my brain thoughts into actual, viable webcomics now :')
I love seeing people’s picrew art styles because you can just look at them and be like
“You read homestuck and it was a big part of your life for a few years, you’re not into steven universe but you did watch it, and you had an intense black butler phase in middle school and doodled their eyes over and over again in your spiral notebooks”
