Brazilian street artist Fábio Gomes Trindade combines painting and nature to create singular works that are only complete when viewed together. With the help of tree branches that sit above his vibrant murals, he produces portraits where only part of the head is present—such as the face and a portion of the hair. But when paired with colorful flowering trees and green leaves, the portrait has a full, beautiful coif. It's a clever and charming way to combine elements of the urban environment with the natural one.
Edna Regina Lewis (April 13, 1916 – February 13, 2006)[1] was a renowned American chef, teacher, and author who helped refine the American view of Southern cooking.[2][3] She championed the use of fresh, in season ingredients and characterized Southern food as fried chicken (pan-, not deep-fried), pork, and fresh vegetables – most especially greens. She wrote and co-wrote four books which covered Southern cooking and life in a small community of freed slaves and their descendants.[4]

With only 10 of the 15 watches to have ever been offered for sale, this latest version will make its auction debut as the star highlight of Sotheby’s Important Watches auction in New York on June 9.
