episode 6 aka “oh this is why all of you were crying”!!!

i will say it wasn’t quite as awful as i was anticipating. i was expecting something more final — but like nina and maggie, it seems like the romance is on hold until tweedle dum and tweedle dee work through their respective issues

more than devastated actually i’m…confused? how have we spent most of this season looking back at instance after instance where aziraphale chooses to step away from heaven (not to mention the entire last season and a pointedly similar deleted scene set in 1800) only to have him excited and eager to run the place?

but i suppose that is the difference. aziraphale didn’t have the power to push back on his orders for the flood or for job. he grappled with the doctrine in edinburgh. and now here’s a chance to set things right. starting with “healing” his dearest friend whom he feels is more kind and right than anyone in heaven.

except, that implies there’s something wrong with crowley doesn’t it? and has aziraphale bothered to ask what crowley wanted before this? have either of them asked what each other really wanted in the aftermath of armageddon (no, of course not, they don’t talk!!!)

fortuitously at least this all puts aziraphale in charge of armageddon 2: electric boogaloo, which he has no interest in actually seeing through

aaaagh, these ineffable idiots with their lousy communication!!! but they deserve a happy ending! i’m really just so sad it’ll be another year or two before we get to see it
