The orcs arrive at the human scent and come to an abrupt halt. There’s lit candles around a clearing in the forest, what they thought was a campfire. There’s also a large blanket on the ground and an intent looking female sitting in the center propping herself up with her hands behind herself which allows her to push her chest out at them.

“Oh no, not orcs, what ever will I do?” She says in an atrocious overacted fearful voice. The statement contrasted by her legs opening wider and a wide smile spreading across her face.

*my dagger that senses when orcs are near starts glowing*

sometimes it's okay to write 200 words. or 100 words. or even just 10. sit down with the thing, give it as much attention as you can, keep the story fresh in your mind. you can still finish it, even if it's just 10 words at a time.

I would postulate a third way? sitting all day at the keyboard thinking all these amazing plots and dynamics and twists and writing absolutely nothing - then being two mentally tired to write anything - then forgetting all about it the following day but knowing it was pure gold 😅

Writing really goes one of two ways:

1. Write 3k words in 30 minutes

2. Takes 3 hours to write 3 sentences

There is no in between
