You don’t have to attend every argument you’re invited to.
The quieter you become, the more you can hear.

This promise of having enough time is demonstrated in Ecclesiastes 3:1 : There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven.
“I’m the perfect age for everything God has for me right now.” David Crone
Under the New Covenant, we are never commanded to manage time but to redeem time.

If you get it all wrong, He will pick you up, swing you around in His arms, and correct you. He will hug you and put you back on your feet. That is how God behaves toward His children. He will dance with you. He will smile as He gazes on your beautiful face. He will lavish His love on you until it overflows.

Every facet of human health impinges on inflammation, says an immunologist at Stanford University.
Without the appropriate type and appropriate level of inflammation, the immune system would not be capable of launching effective immunity against pathogens. As with many other things in life, though, there can be too much of a good thing. When inflammation persists at chronically elevated levels after an initial infection or injury has passed, it can lead to long-term illnesses, such as heart, disease, cancer, type two diabetes, depression, and Alzheimer’s disease. Many of those conditions become more common with age, which is itself linked to rising levels of inflammation, so-called “inflammaging.”

It’s hard sometimes to separate the good meager morsels of a relationship from the dysfunctional hardwiring of another human being. 💔 It’s like the good parts are a noose around your neck, anchoring you to the heavy weight of the other’s dysfunction that keeps you drowning. Someone who can’t support themselves emotionally can’t be there for you or anyone else. Such persons require more from us than they can give. In the end, they leave us depleted and heartbroken. 😔

“You may give them your love but not your thoughts, For they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, For their souls’ dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. You may strive to be like them but seek not to make them like you. For life goes not backward nor tarries for yesterday.”

Her breath had elongated and her thoughts had followed suit, passing through her brain slowly and then drifting away. Whereas before she had judged every thought as good or bad, soon she found she was simply an observer, taking notice of the ideas without coloring them one way or another.

“This being human is a guest house. Every morning a new arrival. A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor. Welcome and entertain them all! Even if they are a crowd of sorrows, who violently sweep your house empty of its furniture, still, treat each guest honorably. He may be clearing you out for some new delight. The dark thought, the shame, the malice. Meet them at the door laughing and invite them in. Be grateful for whatever comes. because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.” - Rumi
“The morning breeze has secrets to tell you. Don’t go back to sleep”. – Rumi
“I once had a thousand desires. But in my one desire to know you, all else melted away.” – Rumi

Bhutan has a unique approach to national development centered around Gross National Happiness (GNH), rather than solely focusing on Gross Domestic Product (GDP). GNH measures well-being holistically, considering aspects like living standards, health, education, culture, and psychological well-being. This approach aims to ensure that material and spiritual development occur together, fostering a more balanced and sustainable society.
Bhutan's GNH philosophy was first articulated by the 4th King, King Jigme Singye Wangchuck, in the late 1970s, and was formally adopted in 2008. The GNH Index is used to guide government policies and create incentives for various stakeholders to promote societal well-being and happiness. The concept of GNH has inspired other countries and organizations to consider broader measures of progress beyond GDP, as outlined in the UN High Level Meeting on Wellbeing and Happiness.
