enough about the timeloop I wanna hear about the post-timeloop.

person who just got over the horror of being trapped in a loop and settled into a comfortable routine...but then the timeloop breaks and they struggle to reacclimatize. person trapped in a loop for years who grieved their loved ones—who are suddenly back and acting like nothing happened (because for them nothing did). teenager who aged physically and mentally during the timeloop and now they're so much older than they're supposed to be. random strangers who were trapped in a loop together relieved to get away from each other at last, but feeling oddly bereft of familiar company. service worker who is pissed as fuck to have to go back to work

phainon/khaslana (phailana?) is both not of amphoreus and is from it. it's complicated. it's lygus's fault for sure.

mydei isn't meant to be pursuing this celestial being. in fact, he's meant to be doing something else Important. not sure what, but it is Important

mydei's friends are alive! they have also been left behind while he goes on this pursuit. they are going to drag him back to his mother

the other heirs show up briefly on this international journey. i'm not sure of their roles, but they are there

i suddenly really want to write a specific style of myphaidei fic, which unfortunately only exists as vibes in my head beyond one clear idea:

god-like being phainon (bc lord ravager/khaslana is fucking hot) being pursued by mortal(ish) mydei and being very confused/flustered

i haven't played genshin since 4.2, when i got genuinely concerned my five+ year old laptop might burst into flames/Just Die everytime i played it for longer then 5 minutes BUT this is. amazing.

I am usually not into crossovers, but...

I am dying to see a Star Rail/Genshin absolute madcap hijinks crossover where it turns out Zhongli is actually just the aeon of Permanence who faked his own death and fucked off to Teyvat when he got tired of his first job, where he's been loafing (and re-retiring--because hey, if the fakeout death thing worked once, why not give it a go again??) for the last 6000+ years.

Only for Dan Heng and the Astral Express to roll up (look, the train can definitely fit through the big ass hole in the sky now) because there's some issue seriously affecting the Xianzhou's Vidyadhara and the Garden of Recollection says Teyvat's primordial dragons may have information that can help save the day.

Bonus points for:

Zhongli spending the first half of the fic like

desperately trying to dodge responsibility for his past actions.

2. Zhong-"How about we don't talk to the hydro dragon today"-li. (Dan Heng will get along great with Neuvillette though!)

3. ZhongChi (with scandalized Dan Heng in the background because there is no way his oldest ancestor is flirting with some 20-year-old ginger.)

4. Blade's there at least part of the time. Why? Because I want to see Zhongli put him in the ground and then be like "Oh dear, is this someone you know, Dan Heng? My apologies," and bodily pick Blade up and dust him off--only to then put Blade into the ground again after getting the actual story.

5. Dad!Li and Son!Heng feels. Does Zhongli know how to be a responsible parent? No. But that's okay, because Dan Heng also has no idea how to be a son. They'll get it worked out eventually. Probably.

6. Where in the name of Teyvat did the rest of the Express Crew go? *comedically large explosion in the distance* "Oh no. Those are my monkies. That is my circus!" - Dan Heng, probably

7. Epic Dan Heng + aeon!Zhongli team up to save the universe. (From who? I don't know man, invent a random big bad villain just so I can see this.)
