OOC POST: YOU LIKE ME?

I didn't even really know people still thought about this game, but it's come to my attention that captain-fabray has been nominated here for Best Retired Character. I must say it warms the cockles of my heart that at least one other person looks back on this game with a fondness that might someday match the intensity of my own.

I miss this Quinn so badly, I can't even really describe it. She was my first real foray into the best, most complicated bits of a young Quinn. The dynamic that this Faberry had was unparalleled. I can't believe what we created here. I'm not sure that I'll ever re-capture the magic I felt I had with her, but there's comfort for me in knowing she still exists here. And I'm so glad I'm not alone in wanting to celebrate her.

So, to whomever nominated, thank you very much. You've made me a very happy RPer tonight.

OOC POST: RE-BOOTING CHARACTER

Well, as much as it's already obvious (and as much as it saddens me to say), this game has officially died. Changing schedules, partner drift, etc... a lot of things have worked against it, and I guess it's time to make the official statement.

But, I miss this character dearly. Everything about her still speaks to me, and I'm not quite ready to give up on the chance to write her just yet.

SO... with that being said, it is my plan to use this Quinn again. The plot and the partner will be different (Quinn's url might be different), but Quinn will be the same. I'm going to take some time to brainstorm a plot and chat with some very talented Rachel RPers I know to see if anyone is interested in picking this up with me.

Once I have everything figured out, I'll post here just to let anyone know who might still be interested in following.

OOC Post: Coming out of hiatus

Okay, everyone! Well... finally! We are ready to come off our hiatus. It's been a long time, and both of us want to thank you guys for sticking with us through the absence.

Just so you all know, we probably won't begin posting in either girl's account until we finish our first para. The para will be a montage of important moments that have happened in-game from Halloween until the present. We will be picking up and resuming play in real time.

We'll be working the para tonight, so keep your eyes peeled for it to be up by the end of the week!

OOC Post: Update

OOC: So... like I said, the holiday season means busy busy schedules for both my Rachel and myself. We are still around. The game is not ending. Etc. etc

I guess I would like to use this post to announce a formal hiatus, that way no one is hanging in limbo. We want to be able to dedicate the most of our focus and attention to this story, and that's simply impossible when our work schedules leave us being online at exact opposite times and/or without the proper energy to give this game our best.

I expect we should be able to pick back up in January in full swing.

OOC Post

I'd like to go ahead and address this issue before we get much further into November and December.

I've said from the beginning that this game will be a slow-moving game. I've said there will be times when the posting is light, that there will be gaps between paras and interactions. All that is still true. We both firmly believe that given the states of each individual character's life, neither girl would be on tumblr every day. All of this still holds true.

I just want to be respectful enough of you, as followers, to give you a heads up though. Both Rachel's player and myself work jobs that get exponentially busier during the holiday season. Our work schedules will not always sync up to allow us to be online at the same times. Her schedule has already picked up, and mine will do the same here just before Thanksgiving. We are working to write things (solos and paras and journal entries) ahead of time to publish when they should, but things will be slow. We simply won't have the time or the energy. But I'd like to repeat that we are not closing the game. We will not simply let it disappear.

I've gotten some messages asking if the RP is still active, which kind of surprises me because there were longer para droughts than this during the summer. But just to go ahead and make the statement clear:

THIS GAME IS NOT CLOSING.

Everything is going according to our plans. We are both still here. We are both still committed. We are both excited to see this story through. And we hope you all are still excited to follow this journey with us.
