You guys have probably noticed the jewelry exchange between Eda and Raine, and Luz and Amity. Based on @moringmark's comic on the dynamic of exchanging jewelry as an equivalent to a proposal, this can confirm Eda and Raine's relationship as well as the confirmed Lumity ship.
Personally, I'd suspected they were canon while watching the episodes. (:

I'd additionally noticed how Nine was the first one out of both of them since meeting the Chaos Council to call them "eggheads", a nickname IDW Sonic uses quite frequently. Shortly after, Sonic uses it while at Boscage Maze.
They're not as different as they think. 馃槒
I think constantly about the scene in Ghost Hill where Nine claims he's "Nothing [like Tails]". I find myself laughing about it a little because once you get past the superficial parts they are really not so different xD
I think Tails and Nine are fundamentally the same at their core, but their lived experiences shaped them into very different people. They almost have opposite goals because of it. I stand firm in my belief that what Tails truly wants, more than anything, is simply to be around the people he loves. That鈥檚 part of why I personally dislike when Tails gets flattened into the "erm, actually" nerd stereotype, because that really isn't who he is.
Tails' character isn't built around being smart. It's built around him being humble, kindhearted, and eager to belong. His intelligence is part of him, yes, but it's secondary to the real core: the little guy who just wants to be included. He's never been shown to have ambitions of becoming the strongest, the fastest, or even the smartest.
I see his intelligence as something that developed out of necessity, not desire. Personally, I headcanon that before Tails met Sonic, he was left alone most of the time, with little to no friends. To cope, he probably spent a lot of time reading books and gravitating toward science and engineering, trying to create things that could make his life a little easier, doing stuff like building companions like T-Pup to deal with his loneliness.
When you think about it, Nine probably had it even worse. Tails at least had an entire island to himself, and there were probably days where the bullies couldn鈥檛 find him. He could have some peace and solitude. Nine lived in a city where danger and cruelty were everywhere, where he could run into new bullies or street gangs on practically every street corner, with almost nowhere safe to escape.
