Also small headcanon: Since iirc Nm hates Cats, I have a feeling he has more personality traits to a dog, or more like a lone wolf- while Ink on the other hand has total cat behavior and uses them to either get Nightmare's attention (pets) or annoy him while he works (like stretching his arms in front of him), bonus, his tentacles wag when excited/happy, even if he doesn't show it, his tentacles rat him out

And bc of that, Ink probably started calling him "Puppy" and he fucking Hates it because it makes him get all blushy and embarrassed, but he never stops him because he can't admit he kind of doesn't mind-

do you like inkmare? IF YOU DO... what if nightmare hide in the paint buckets of Ink in a way of JUMPSCARED him? I think it's funny after the post that he filled him with glitter, a little revenge (also kissies of nightmare on Ink hands as such a platonic lover BC he is the death, always got me)

What if someone(ink) threw a can of glitter on nightmares goopy body and it gets all mixed around and never comes off so he always looks a bit too sparkly and it’s really messing with his “menacing vibes”

Okay; this is a thing I've wanted to write about for some time! It's a concept I came up with. At some point.

Magic mixture...!!!

The main idea of it it's that it's a phenomenon in-verse where, if two or more monsters spend enough time together, their magic eventually mix, so both their color palettes get altered. Temporally! But altered.

It usually looks kind of subtle?? For skeletons, I imagine the main difference is the color of blush, eyelights and tongue, which are the most visible. The color palette change usually fades in some hours, if both monsters stop interacting and/or staying close to each other.

I imagine the magic mix as a whole is. Very common. Friend groups usually end up somewhat rainbowy if they're very close, those who magic-fight for fun are usually very color-palette altered anddd. Healing magic usually leads to unilateral color mixing, where one of the monsters is the only one whose palette is affected.

I imagine it. Also gets affected by Magic Power?? Its harder to "tint" a boss monster as a normal monster, while a boss monster has less difficulties making their color mixing visible in friends. And stuff

There are moments where it's Not as subtle™, which is when the monster in particular uses. Active Magic to cover themselves, like moldsmalls or fire monsters.

I thought itd be a fun concept...! If anyone wants to use it please be free to do so!!! C. Colors......
