I wanted to finish this first draft without going back to fix things, but today got the best of me, and I crumbled.

I just rewrote the last 10k words I wrote in the last few days.

At least I fixed a major pacing issue and a plot hole in the making hehe.

Update on the fic (Week 2):

I'm 20k+ words in and it has been great. I am also commissioning some Huntik tarot cards from an artist to go along with the fanfic.

I am on schedule to complete the first 50k words before NaNoWriMo even starts, but judging from what I've written so far, I'm estimating the story to take around 70k. Hopefully I can take a week before NaNoWriMo to do editing work on the fic, and continue working on the story through November.

Plan is to start updating chapters daily starting December 1st. Currently the outline has 25 chapters, so by Christmas everything will be published hopefully.

Also if someone knows or is an artist that likes to draw Huntik - my inbox is open, send me your rates and I'll be happy to comission more character cards and a cover for the fic.

Chapter 1 of Huntik: Seekers and Keepers is published.

I will not be publishing new chapters until at least mid-November most likely, because I want to polish and edit the story before I publish all of it.

But I can guarantee that it will be completed by the end of the year for sure.

Now that my outlining is finished and I am 14k+ words deep into the story, these are the things I am changing about the main Huntik storyline.

Changes in this version from the original:

- Characters are aged up - 17-18.

-Sophie, orphaned, on the run since, raised by Cherit instead.

- Cherit is her sidekick instead of Lok’s, on the run with her.

- Sophie’s parents and the Lamberts were friends.

- Older brother, Lukas, is dead.

- Ethon Lambert was Dante’s mentor.

- Dante and Zhalia already together at the start, but not for long, new relationship vibes.

Things I have added:

+ Casterwill blessings - Every Casterwill gets a blessing that lets them trade something for more power when they are in trouble. For Sophie, she can sacrifice her blood for more power (to explain why she is powerful + why tf the Casterwills are special). For her brother it was physical strength can be sacrificed for more power.

+ Sophie struggles with controlling her power because she was taught the lazy technique by her tutors and Cherit couldn't get her to unlearn it, while on the run.

+ Rassimov with the Legendary Titan of War is the one who burned down her home.

+ The concept of the "Huntik Academy."

Just finished chapter 3 of the fanfic and I am about 10,000 words in. My self-set hard deadline to finish my first draft is October 25th. Hopefully it keeps going like it has been up until now and I might get there faster. Word goal is around 60-70k words for now.

Finally finished my outline for the rewrite. I'm still figuring out how to fit as many missions from the show as possible into it but I'm mostly there.

I'm still trying to decide if I like the way I plan to end it.

I'm also doing some minor changes so I can patch some of the original show's plot holes and it feels good for the story but also kinda wrong on principal.

I'm just trying to write a love letter to my favorite show ffs, why am I getting so worked up about this.

Just realized 2 days ago, that the wiki says

LOK AND SOPHIE ARE 15?

Is it just me that thought they were at least like in their last year at school like 17-18 when first watching the show?

I mean I was literally 10 when I first watched it but come on.
