🚨 A cry from a heart from which the last remaining thing is being ripped out... My child! 🚨

💔 My child is between life and death... and all I have is my tears that cannot save him, and my voice that no one hears!

A plea as if it were the last breath of a dying mother and her son, with no hope except that her words would reach hearts still beating with compassion.

Imagine placing your hand on your son's chest to check if he's still alive...Imagine holding his tiny hand and trying to convey to him that you're here...While your eyes are watching the machine...Because you know that the machine is the only thing keeping him alive!

My child now doesn't move... He doesn't scream... He doesn't laugh...

He's just fighting to live... And his only crime is that he was born into a house that had no money!

The doctors say:

"If the surgery isn't performed immediately, he'll die!"

I'm hurting and cry...Because I can't even afford to buy my child's life!

What injustice is greater than this?

What greater sorrow than seeing your soul snatched away before your eyes and you being unable to do anything?

What cruelty is more severe than seeing your son's pulse fading... while you count the price of life in seconds?

❌ I won't be able to pay for the surgery... and I won't even be able to scream afterward. I'll just carry him to the grave with my own hands! ❌

❌ He'll be washed while he can live... He'll be buried while he was just waiting for mercy! ❌

Don't leave us... Don't let a person be killed because he's poor!

Trying once again since my options are very limited right now and I don't really have a choice. Hopefully Tumblr doesn't shadowban this post too.

I haven't been able to work my regular hours due to my heart condition. My insurance covers most of the medical expenses, but I'm severely behind on rent (the equivalent is around $2500 US). I'm out of sick days and I'm currently on unpaid leave territory. I can't afford rent, nor groceries. Not even food for my cats.

I really wouldn't be begging for help on the internet if I had a functional family that could help me. I'm sorry.

And sorry about the misuse of tags as well, I'm trying to gain some traction and hopefully more people to see this post.

I’m often reminded of how Rowling packed her book to the brim with social issues but she’s got no idea how to solve them. I got so excited reading about all the dark corners of the wizarding society getting unearthed (house elf slavery, discrimination against pretty much most other creatures, having the prison be a hellhole guarded by soul sucking monsters, the absolutely broken and corrupt leadership, etc, etc) and I was thinking wow, it’d be cool to watch that getting cleaned up. But nope, none of that get solved. it all circles back to Voldemort and Harry just needs to kill him with a single deflected spell.

I mean, I expected at least a cursory mention that they’ve solved these problems. I’m not foolish enough to expect Rowling to actually write a decent rundown of how systemic problems get rectified through actual reforms. But I thought once they time skip, we should at least get a summary of the now-much-better society. But apparently the two sole features of this ideal happily every after is that (1) Voldemort’s gone and (2) everyone is married. Hermione still cares about elf rights…probably, but it doesn’t even make it onto the epilogue. How does Rowling expect the last sentence “All was well.” to land properly when she’s left all these stuff hanging?
