I haven't posted in almost six months, but I'm back online now.
Here's a couple of photos i took at dusk today at Collins Creek - at the JFK Memorial Park just outside Heber Springs, Ark.
Luckily the color was still strong and the subtle evening light made for great photos. Enjoy.

Here are some photos from my recent trip to Southeastern Oklahoma; just across the Arkansas state line in McCurtain County. A portion of the Ouachita Mountains spread into Oklahoma and look like a sea of really large hills, for the most part.

Haven't been on here in a while, so here are some photos I took on my day off last week. Work and school have been taking up too much time, but the great weather made me go out and take photos on my days off anyway. Enjoy.

A photo essay from a Jonesboro, Ark. man being rescued from a trench that caved in on him while working on a sewer line. After a stabilizing wall collapsed in, he was buried up to his stomach in dirt. He was rescued after being trapped for about four hours.

These are just some random photos I forgot about from a couple of weeks ago exploring some county roads between Brookland and Paragould, Ark.
It's kind of noticeable in throughout the photos, but the weather got increasingly more dreary in the 45-ish minutes I was at the location. I liked it for the last three shots.

A throwback to a Polaroid panorama/set thing I did in 2009 just after high school. How time flies.
Painters Bluff, outside Cushman, Ark.
Taken with a Polaroid SX-70, with expired (forgot the year) Time Zero film.

I did some more exploring around the northern edge of Craighead County, just outside of Brookland and the Craighead/Greene county line. This area escapes the flatlands of the main Jonesboro area and comes up along Crowley's Ridge. The ridge has rolling hills and smaller ridges that have unique features like rich loess soil and spots of heavy forests.

I've seen this little store for years off the road at Diaz, Ark., basically between Jacksonport and Newport, to get to U.S. 67 without going through lights in Newport. I finally pulled off to get some random photos, and here they are.

TOP: A small old and abandoned shed sits vacant in a field, on a small hill, off of U.S. 49 at Brookland, Ark.
BOTTOM: The view from inside my car as I explored Brookland, Ark. — where I just moved to — and ran across this cool, erie little shed. I'm loving being outside of Jonesboro. Brookland is a really small town of just more than 1,000 people and is basically in the middle of nowhere. There's actually hills and some actual varying features to the land, unlike flat, boring Jonesboro.
