A SHADOW AT DUSK by Robert Anthony

Shadows at dusk sweep the table with wicked desire silencing daylight song in gripping darkness.

Lengthening lines from nights cool hands cling to the light.

Growing wide and deep the light begins to sleep.

A dream within a dream a cruel twist of fate, a buzzing nightmare, desperate to wake, bloodsucking sting.  Infectious, darkness swallows light, darkness drowns joy.

It devours my essence.

SHHH, just sleep and go towards the light.
