Having grown up alongside two very lively and proactive older sisters, Louis developed a much more relaxed and reserved personality in comparison. Though some people saw him as passive as he was prone to following cousins along if not dragged into their mischievous antics, he simply was happier pursuing his own interests in a quiet fashion rather than making noise about it in his own time. His parents lent to the open-minded and nurturing environment that gave way to him pursuing artistic hobbies, not much into pranks nor sports like the rest of the family. While they were a bit much at times, his sisters were protective of their brother nonetheless and treated him quite gently over the years, letting his talent blossom and supporting every good grade he managed in his studies. For every little angel, there’s always a little devil to be found, be it in one’s self or in someone else. Sometimes the motives that help a person get by is the sheer need to act as another’s foil, and that’s a trait that can be found in Dom. The middle child in her family, she found a pastime early on in clashing heads with her older sister and bossing around her younger brother. Treading the fine line between mischievous imp and unforgettable horror, the young woman certainly inherited a finesse with words that matched her quick reflexes. It became a bit of a game between cousins to get Dom to fall for their pranks manage to not get bat bogeyed or dungbombed, or worse, put the blame on an innocent who doesn’t deserve her wrath. All his life, he’d been told to be afraid of the unknown and to be prepared to flee as soon as anything seems to not be going the way it’s supposed to. It was this primal instinct to cower that ruled his childhood, ultimately only to benefit a controlling mother that only wanted Carlos around to do her bidding. While his friends had always told him that fear didn’t have to control him, it took leaving the Isle to really open his eyes and let the thought blossom into courage. Over the last few years, he really came into his own person away from his jarring past and knew that completely leaving behind the last traces of his old life would be the final nail he needed in the coffin. Upon given the chance to study marine biology and veterinary sciences overseas, he didn’t hesitate to move and has been living his most authentic self since.

Taken under Jafar’s wing at a very young age, all that Jay was taught was how to fight and steal; his adoptive father didn’t even have the devotion nor patience to pay heed to anything else a growing boy needed unless it was for personal gain. Luckily, the streets brought him to the likes of Carlos, Evie, and Mal, who nurtured an instinct to protect and serve the team rather than continuing the believe that he only had himself to care for. Eva was someone who always knew what she wanted, and that was to be in a band. While other girls wanted to be a princess, or a doctor growing up, it wasn’t for her. Instead, she had learnt how to write and make songs by the age of five. Her parents had always disapproved of it and told her to try something else, but her rebellious streak got the best of her and instead she worked harder to prove her parents wrong through spite. She graduated school at age eighteen, and decided to study music in college, but not at home in Manchester – she flew out to California. Now in her free time, all it’s about it music. From writing new songs to making melodies on her guitar, Eva feels like there’s nothing she can’t do.

Not to toot our horn at our wanted connections, but we’d absolutely love to see Camila Mendes and Janelle Monae become part of the city as musicians. Aside from them, however, I think we’d be thrilled to have Alexandra Daddario, Zoe Kravitz, Evanna Lynch, Mila Kunis, Keke Palmer, Lilly Singh, Hailee Steinfeld, Tracie Thoms, Emeraude Toubia, and Bonnie Wright!
