You are perfect. A strange little boy, too shy to interact, too oblivious to the ways of the world. Steadily moves through society thinking nothing of himself, judging nothing of others. Then sets a goal, which sets a future self, a better self? Time for.

Change. Problems arise, why? Are you even on the track? Is that YOUR goal? Don't go too deep. Anyway. Compare yourself to others and get opinionated. Strip yourself of yourself. Sorry, no, add to it, to cover the flaws. Shield. Less love, less love. Why? Because, no vulnerability, it hurts too much. A little boy become a man, a man must conquer, what is fear? The enemy. Connect? No, disconnect from toxic behaviors. "Am I disconnecting from myself?" Yes but shhht! Feels sad, far away from the world, from himself. Goals? Where are they, I don't even know if I want it. I feel like sinking... Time for... Change?

The ditherings of an old soul

You know why I like movies so much? Because they feel truer than life. The charismatic hero is more of a human being to my eyes than all encounters lately.

The stakes feel real, things actually worth fighting for. Games are played with ambition, emotions needn’t be repressed and all situations can be handled with a good laugh.

It’s unrealistic? We never signed for « realism ». Realism is already overwhelming every morning when we wake up and probably one of the reason why people are so unhappy.

You should watch Mollys Game and pay attention to the scene where the lawyer (Idriss Elba) decides to defend Molly pro bono. His decision is driven by the fact that she never hired mafia to threaten the people who owed her money. Why? « They have wife and kids, I can’t destroy their lives for money ».

It’s funny how uninterested I can be about the trivia of life. When all are building lives made of family, career and money, I dream of freedom, fleeting love, and burning cigarettes on a strobing light.

I fear my life could end earlier than expected due to the dangerous game I’m playing. Being all-in for an art form is same as flying to the sun with wings made of wax.

Today I can honestly say that I’m halfway between the gutter and the star. Where many stood, where a lot have died, and a few lived to see the sunrise.

I walked through the barren land, no water, only the heat burning my skin. Being striped away of all armors I built for myself, I realized, walking naked with nothing but a dream as compass, that no matter the scorching earth, those waxed wings would never melt cause… only I can defeat myself.
