my brain cooked another super dumb headcanon instead of studying pls don't call me crazy I know it sounds weird but hear me out:

imagine Percy getting kitnapped (again) waking up in a room next to Ares being chained to a desk and both of them are forced to - quoting Zeus - "sit it out until their annoying childish behaviour stops getting on my fucking nerves"

and bruh the room turns out to be a studio builed by Hephaestus so that - quoting Zeus (again) - "everyone on Olympus can witness how I really would love to burn these two into crispy thanksgiving turkeys but galactic embarrassment should do it."

AND NOW IMAGINE that Percy and Ares are starting a freaking podcast about the most random stuff (probably just screaming at each other) and everyone, even the monsters in Tartarus listen to that shit these two crackheads come up with:

Percy: Welcome back to "cousins-in-crime now is your time" podcast. In todays episode it's my time to demonstrate you the screams of a demigod cutting his own leg off instead of loosing his mind. Stay tuned.

Ares: That's the step in the right direction. .... did you get the joke? I don’t wanna get into it, it’s very thigh-sensitive. Damn. My leg puns are quite the feet

Percy: You should tell Achilles. This shit would keep him on his toes.

Percy afterwards getting recognized in battle not as the son of Poseidon but as "that funny grumpy dude from that super aggressive 'cousins-in-crime' podcast! You both were awesome! Hey, could you sign my fangs?? Down in Tartarus, I would be THE SHIT if I tell everyone that I met you. "

alright I have a weird headcanon idea I really need to get off my brain so that I can focus on studying:

how about a "bring your parent to school camp" - day and the Big Three are forced with the Small Three into some weird competition games but like "get in touch with your uncle" - style (bc Chiron read about an amazing "family bonding" technique he wants to try). and the teams are the worst but also the funniest like:

- Percy and Zeus

- Thalia and Hades

- Nico and Poseidon

just imagine their dynamics showing off like: Nico and Poseidon having a blast with each other bc "damn my emo and almost dead looking nephew is super smart and cool, ofc he's strange af but don't you tell him he is trying all his best and bruh he has so much potential you made a good one there Hades". These two are winning at every goddamn game but are just talking about how Nico's life is going, how hard shadow travel is and how exactly it works, if he wants to visit Poseidon's palace one day and- "WHAT YOU DIDN'T LEARN HOW TO SWIM IN THE 30s?!?! My great Boy, I will teach you-"

Hades is jealous as hell bc his son has more fun with this slimy oyster bitch than with him and Thalia becoming Hades #1 therapist and giving him all the best parenting advice (bc her dad is one of the shittiest of them all-) from a lifelong teenager perspective. They both have the most comfiest and deepest talks about how hard it has to be dealing with depression and how the right communication helps to understand each other.

And then there are Zeus and Percy just arguing with each other, completely failing at every game bc Zeus is Zeus-ing again and gotta tell our favorite boy how "it has to be done" and makes everything even worse. They even lose after Thalia and Hades, who are both just ignoring the games, sitting near the Hades cabin, continuing their deep talk. They argue that hard that Zeus sets something on fire due to lightning and Percy refuses to put it out (it's Hera's cabin-)...

... I'm sorry, but this exists rent free in my head. I really need to draw that lol okay bye!

The best part of the percy jackson books is that from percy's perspective hes just an easygoing funny cool guy who seems pretty harmless but the moment you see him from someone elses pov hes terrifying. Just a crazy good fighter, a force of nature killing machine, literally gets mistaken for a god in disguise. But he doesnt see that side of himself at all because hes too busy arguing with authority figures and respecting women. I love him
