'The Lord of Destined Death' - Chapter 1

Elden Ring fic! Yet another Rare-Pair Time-Travel Fix-It, because of course. I crashed down this rabbit hole like a year ago when I started playing Elden Ring and have not been able to get it out of my mind. (for regular readers who happen to have seen my Tumblr (where I post update notices of my fics), my blog banner has been rotating through screenshots from my playthroughs since forever.) It is a shame the fanfic scene is so tiny for all Elden Ring since the Lore is deliciously complicated and intriguing, leaving so much up for interpretation that it is begging to be written about.  As per usual with all my fics, I will be cherry picking Lore and bending some things to make the story fit a bit smoother. This is a Time Travel Fix-it and I will be altering some details. I might write down what I change and make note of it at the end of the chapters but no promises :3 I was not planning on starting another fic, mostly because I have a ton of WIPs, but I don’t pick my muses. On top of that, this fic is mostly written already (I’m working on the last pages of chapter 3 out of 6) and I felt like indulging myself with researching the Lore. (I swear, I put more effort into researching my fics than I put into my degree) Anyways, Godwyn/Tarnished deserves more than 13 fics. Welcome to the madness! Enjoy!

I'm gonna be really honest, idk how to feel about people reposting my drawings to Pinterest. On one hand it feels like a compliment, on the other, it feels icky. I don't think I would be as conflicted if it was credited or linked but the way I just stumbled upon it while randomly scrolling pinterest genuinely made me pause and rethink uploading my doodles. Understanding dawned as Jaster caught on to what the Mando meant.  The Olden Way held different values from most Resol’nare. Their Creed kept their Ways close, they kept their secrets with their lives. It was difficult to find information on them because they themselves were hard to find. They were ghosts.  The only reason Jaster knew that much was because one of his closer Verde was once of a Covert which held true to the Olden Ways. His Creed was broken and while he sought Redemption to return in the beginning, he found his soulmate who was not of his Creed. “Olden Way or not, our tendons have granted him the life debt of my ad and me. One for saving his life, and one because I failed to be there to protect it.” Jaster muttered.  “Kriff.” Jango cursed. “We’ll find him.” Jaster promised.  —- Timetravel + Soulmate Au  In which Jaster is a simp for his very pretty, very confused Mandalorian soulmate. Din is just confused why his ship is suddenly considered modern and why fuel is suddenly cheap.
