Thinking about how, as years pass, even if they're working different jobs, Fernie and Bug will always use patty cake to touch base or make up after a fight, because it's their thing. And sometimes when Bug is getting real overwhelmed or Fernie is having a hard time getting out of Primal Savagery mode, the other uses patty cake because it grounds them to each other.

I was re-listening to Trouble on the High Seas since Smosh finally uploaded it on YouTube, and the last little bit where they animated Fernie’s character...

Not only can Damien write a villain to be so delightfully creepy, but the sound team and him really made the tension and fear of the end of the episode come alive. Also, since we couldn’t see Shayne, the visceral reaction of him suddenly piping up in the end, but with the tonal changes, etc.? Insane.

I’m actually so glad this season seems to be at least taking off with a focus on Fernie (and the environment, it would seem!) because you know Damien and Shayne would have immediately gotten onto the same page with ideating about what Fernie’s character was supposed to achieve.

Special shoutout to Angela remembering that Bug and Fernie are Bros™ and acting audibly distraught.
